LUCEM

LUCEM
The Chapter LI

"He's sleeping?" my many.

"Yes, almost three days," Moonflower replied.

Moonflower rubbed a thick green liquid on Mary's lips with a trail of dried blood. "How is he doing?"

"You said his name when you woke up earlier, did you see him in your sleep?" ask Moonflower.

I was surprised Moonflower had that guess, I went back to digging up memories of the dream I had. "Yes, Mary's there, I—."

It felt hard to find the beginning of the dream, I did not find the appropriate words.

"He's talking to you, what's he saying?" Moonflower waited for my answer with her head tilted.

"She said nothing, other than saying my name once, yes only once. But he settled into my mind a long time ago in a strange way" I half muttered.

Moonflower watched me for a moment. Letting me re-establish disjointed memories, then saying, "What or who did you see there?"

"A little boy, a woman and a man," I was again surprised to realize that. "Master Adam! He was the boy, talking about the bird and a man who became his mother's lover, I saw the man once, the master of the Grimo, do you think it's the same Jhonatan?" I looked at Maria's face and then Moonflower.

Moonflower's face was not good. He stood up and pulled my hand to follow her out of Mary's room. "Don't fall asleep" he said at the door of my room.

Moonflower left me and re-entered Maria's room, closing the door. I've seen what to see. I glanced at my room, Marbella still in the same position. I turned towards the yard.

The wind didn't move much, it was too still, but the air felt refreshingly cold. A medium-sized tent of light yellow between the dark of the night caught my attention.

*******

Jimmy stepped closer to Superman curled up like a cold rat in a chair. Avoiding the incredulous look of his comrades. But Jimmy's closing in on something else. He grabbed a black pendant that popped out of Superman's pants pocket.

"Hey..!" Superman exclaims. Trying to get the locket out of Jimmy's hands.

Jimmy turns around and avoids Superman's outstretched hand. Observe the thing in his hand carefully.

"Where did you get this?" Jimmy pushed the locket in front of Superman.

"Someone gave it to me, give it back!" her door.

The atmosphere inside the tent had changed, pressing down. Jimmy is handsome too seriously tonight, his colleagues see it as not a habit, Jimmy is usually relaxed and light. "Superman?" he's waiting for an answer.

"I was walking outside the fence and someone threw the locket in front of me" Superman replied.

"I hate quarrels with colleagues, as well as lies," handsome Jimmy holds a dagger in his hand.

Superman clung tightly to the chair, taking some distance from the glittering tip of Jimmy's dagger. His chest moved up and down clearly. No mouse companion interrupts, Superman must give something that can convince Jimmy.

"My grandmother, Cloudy. I visited him after our previous return, and got this locket from him. I'm telling you the truth this time, can you keep your dagger away, I beg you," Superman said.

"Forward!" Jimmy didn't reduce his distance at all.

"Grandmother Cloudy said that the little mouse probably came from the big mouse, and the big mouse gave the pendant to my grandmother to give it to me. Grandma said that her friend would recognize me as her granddaughter if I showed this pendant when we entered the kingdom to the overseer. That's the ease and privilege.that's all I know," Superman wiped the sweat that ran close to his eyes.

Jimmy pulled his dagger down. "I'm going to hand this locket to Miss Marbella."

Jimmy stuffed the pendant into a pouch hanging from his waist as Mars greeted the 'hello' and brushed the tent to enter. Jimmy threw a stare for a deal that didn't need to be said to his colleagues.

Jimmy welcomes Mars friendly. The electric kettle rang loudly and billowed. Superman dropped several tea bags into a white porcelain teapot and filled the teapot's stomach with hot water from the kettle. He then wrapped the teapot with a towel and handed it to a mouse colleague who was standing waiting. The two of them took everything to a corner of the room that Mars had filled and their waiting mouse counterparts. Nothing big, just a bunch of chairs with some low tables in the middle. The rest of the room was filled with activity. Lots of talking and hanging out. A warm conversation with Superman's tea.

Superman is busy. He really likes all this. He rearranged the shackles he had arranged on the plate, and tidied up the paper napkin. He looked at her with the same expression every night. Observe and admire the work of his hands before finally allowing everyone to eat them.

Tea, cake.no, tonight there is only tea and tenginang. Cakes and biscuits have disappeared, searches have stalled.

The tent was filled with an understated tenuous sound. Sam the rat came in and joined. A moment of standing Mars sat back, stunned. Then smile back and blend in.

Superman poured tea on the empty cups.

Sam took out a flask from his pocket and weighed it in his hand before extending it to Mars. "Maybe you should have this tonight," he said.

Mars opened the flask and glared at him. "Moonflower will kill you."

The rats laughed, the men gathered and played late. The kettle had been heated repeatedly and screamed. Superman always smiled cheerfully like a lucky shop owner getting his profit every night. Finally, their little party is over. Mars returned to his room and found James's mouse there, sound asleep in the corner seat of the room. Mars did not know what he could do to the old mouse without waking him, so Mars decided to let it go.

Marbella did not change her sleeping position at all. So sound.
