LUCEM

LUCEM
Chapter XLIII

"I guess I'll receive a cup of tea," I inhaled the aroma of coffee that was emanating as Moonflower entered the room. Put the book I held on the table and welcome the coffee cup from Moonflower's hand.

"I think you've been sleeping too much, Mars. So, the smell of coffee can wake you up longer, make you feel warm in early winter," Moonflower said.

I smile. More than just waking up, I honestly hope coffee can make fear not surprise me anymore in the day or night, that peace is not a dream.

Marbella had no intention of intentionally telling me everything or covering everything up. He had hinted, that I should learn to accept, that I should learn to resist, that I should learn from dreams and reality, that I should be ready to welcome or lose. Marbella wants to protect and be protected. Marbella let me shape myself to find my best version. By ourselves.

On all Marbella's plans, it's better to pretend that I'm not confused myself.

A slow tap on the door turned our attention to the figure of the white mouse standing in the doorway. Behind him stood Jiso.

"What's up, James?" Ask Marbella.

"I feel very disturbed that's why I came and wanted to ask" James said.

Marbella smiled knowingly at the two of them and I caught a flash of anger in Marbella's eyes. Whether it was the mouse that frustrated her, it seemed that Marbella would never admit it out loud.

"Marbi, I want to take a walk outside, can I?" I interrupted.

Marbella agreed and asked Moonflower to accompany me. Leaving Marbella and her two mice to talk.

On page. "I didn't expect dimensional space to have a normal day and night cycle" I said.

Inhaling the aroma of coffee, looking at the blushing sky, feeling the breeze, this was still the usual Moonflower residence. Where is the space dimension?

"Nothing is different, Mars. In addition to space and time," Moonflower glared.

"What do different spaces and times mean?" I looked back at the sky.

"When you're born, how old you are, what you've eaten or drunk, things you've met. Here, all that means nothing. Our values are the same. Do you understand?" Moonflower.

I nodded slowly.

"I mean, I was a thousand three hundred years older than you and twenty-one years old when I entered this dimensional space" Moonflower said.

"You're kidding me.." I said spontaneously.

I narrowed my eyes, sweeping Moonflower with a look of disbelief. The girl widened her smile. "I know you won't believe my words, even if you don't have enough reason to doubt me either. It is common for man to believe things close to his thoughts. Close to his experience. And doubting things that are beyond his reach, but that doesn't mean things you don't see, don't feel, don't you experience are not real."

I pulled my hand back. Moonflower just smiled. "Does it feel real?" Ask.

I'm laughing a little. "You're very real for twenty-one years."

"You're still rejecting things that are beyond your logic, and that's good." Moonflower said.

"What's so good about that? My toot.

"Good, because you don't seem to be physically rejecting me," Moonflower approached suddenly.

I was shocked and felt my heartbeat racing. This girl teased me again.

"May I kiss you here?" Moonflower's index finger touched my lips. I swallowed spit.

"Close your eyes, the ancestors want....." He bit the corner of his lips.

I shuffled back, my heartbeat getting irregular. "A—I'll be there... Ma—maaf."

I stood up and walked away.

”Mars..!" Moonflower.

"Yes?" I'm stopping.

Moonflower covered her mouth with her hands and a second later the sound of her laughter echoed. He laughed so hard that he had to rub the watery side of his eyes. I feel annoyed and embarrassed at the same time funny. Bad ancestors, I thought.

"Come here... I won't tease you anymore" Moonflower patted the grass beside her. He was still trying to hold back the laughter. I came back closer and sat there feeling clumsy but had no other reason to refuse.

"You scared?" Ask.

I'm shaking.

"I won't kiss you unless you ask for it" he said

I drank the coffee left in the cup. Take my breath deep. " Thousand three hundred years, huh?"
