I felt a huge amount of air pull filling my chest cavity and that's when I opened my eyes. Sweat drenched my back, it was very moist there.
I sat stunned letting the shock of everything settle around me for a moment. Until I finally realized that I was really here, really awake, really good.
Moonflower slowly walked closer. His defensive posture melted, and suddenly he embraced and hugged me and made a shock skyrocket within me.
It's like a dream.
Moonflower stood by my bed, smiling.
"Hey," said. "I'm glad you're up and looking good, Mars."
I was silent for a moment. Look at my hands and move my fingers.
"You still have it" Moonflower said.
I switched to looking at him. "Yes." Yeah."
My voice is stuck in my throat.
"Ah, drink this," Moonflower grabbed a glass of water and thrust it at me.
A vague feeling came at me all of a sudden, annoying to re-awaken like this. Each time. Feelings fall.
"Bring it up, it'll fix your feelings. I will immediately prepare warm water for you, wait a moment, Moonflower said, as if she had read my mind.
He stepped into the bathroom without waiting for my answer, turning on the tap to fill the tub. And come back after a while. "Please," he said.
I got up and gave her a brief smile before entering the bathroom. "Thank you "
I took a long bath this time, letting the water rinse away all the tangles that were attached. Real tired.
Meanwhile in the room, Moonflower tidied up my bed. Change the sheets and rearrange the pillows on it. Before then he heard someone thumping in a dramatic way.
Reluctantly, he turned around.
He knew, in an instant, that throat clearing was from Marbella. He could tell from the way his arms were crossed, the way his eyes narrowed.
Moonflower, on the other hand, looked amused.
But Moonflower must have looked happy. Surprised, but pleased.
Marbella grinned at him.
Moonflower's wrinkle became deep. "You know Mars's gone, right?"
It wiped the smile off Marbella's face. He turned around, but there was no sign of me. Marbella turned around, swearing silently.
Marbella looked at Moonflower probing.
"Um yes.I know," Moonflower said, shaking her head. "He'll try and leave without us."
Marbella almost laughed. "Of course."
Marbella will say goodbye when Moonflower jumps to her feet.
"Wait," he said.
"There's no time" said Marbella, already backing out of the door. “Mars will free them, and I b—”
"He just went to take a shower" Moonflower said, cutting off Marbella's remarks.
Marbella froze so fast she almost fell. He turned around, eyebrows raised. "What is he now?"
"He's in the shower" Moonflower said.
Marbella blinked at him slowly, like he was a fool, which, to be honest, was how he felt right now. "You mean, you're, like, watching her get ready to take a shower?"
Marbella squinted at Moonflower, again walking into the room "What is Mars doing now?" Marbella asked him. "Is he in the shower?"
"Yes." Yeah." Reply Moonflower wonder.
"You know what?" marbella says sharply. "I'm gonna do something to make it easier for us to get out, but I think I changed my mind."
“Wait—” says Moonflower. “Easy everything how?”
"I'm not going to tell you this right now, bathroom spy" Marbella said.
"You.." Pillow drifted towards Marbella.
In an instant the two girls made Moonflower's previous work go to waste. And that's when I came out of the bathroom.
"Wow, you're partying" I passed the two into the closet to get dressed.
"Do you mind if I do it while you're having fun?" I asked both of them.
"Okay, all right, I took it back," said Marbella, raising an apologetic hand. “I retracted all my previous comments about the offending. I also want to officially apologize to you, which we all know is too good and too cool to spy on anyone in the bathroom. In reality, my sister does like to show off."
Moonflower rolled her eyes. Smile breaks.
Moonflower. "I don't understand how you deal with it" Moonflower said to me. “I can't stand all jokes. It would drive me crazy if I had to listen to this all day.”
Marbella will protest when I respond.
“That's just because you don't know her enough,” I said with a smile on Marbella. "In addition, we don't like him because of his jokes, do we, Moonflower?" We looked at the eyes for a moment.
"We love her because of her heart."
At that moment, a smile escaped from Marbella's face.
Moonflower is still processing the weight of that statement—the generosity of such a statement.
When he realized that he had missed a knock. Marbella opened her mouth to speak.
“The next gate of the dimensional space is already not far from here,” he said, “and I think it's a good time to tell you all that Jiso and I have been investigating one of the doors in this house without anyone's knowledge. I stole. This will be the least damage—and, in fact, I think it's a great way to launch our offensive strategy for the rescue mission.” Marbella glanced over her shoulder.
“What do you think, Jiso?”
“Brilian,” reply Jiso who has been standing in front of the door, “as usual.”
Marbella smiles.
"I didn't realize that it was your strategy," Moonflower said, her smile fading from her face. “Do you not think, based on how the circumstances last time, that m—”
“Why don't we discuss this after we send the kids to their mission? Right now it's more important for us to put them in and give them a decent delivery before it's really too late" Marbella said.
“Hey, by the way,” I said quickly, “what makes you think we're not too late?”
Marbella looked me in the eye. "If they start magic and make a transfer" he said, "we'll feel it."
“Taste how?” my many.
Jiso answered. “For their plan to work, Maya must die. They will not allow it to happen naturally, of course, because natural death can occur in many different ways, which makes too many factors unclear. They should be able to control the experiment at all times— which is why they were so desperate to get Maria before Maya died. They would almost certainly kill the Maya in a controlled environment, and they would set it up in such a way that there was no room for error. Even so, we must have felt something change."
"They're who you mean? The magenta? Owanna or...," I attacked with questions and guesses.
Yeah." yeah."
"And Maria, I've never asked you any further questions about anything, because I believe, but—," I said, disconnected, feeling my head suddenly full. Pulsating.
Some memories come back quickly, conversations, repeated sentences, someone.
