Chapter XXXI's

"Good morning, Mars" said Moonflower as she opened her eyes.

"Eh! I'm still on the front page?"

"Drink this and then clean yourself!" Moonflower handed me a cup of chocolate that was still warm from her grasp and passed away leaving me.

The blanket covered my shoulders and back. Looks like I slept all night out here. I close the blanket and enjoy my chocolate and breathe the fresh morning air.

"It's good to see you enjoying your sleep in nature, Mars," the sound of Marbella's steps approached.

In 1929, there was an athlete who had a good speech, would you listen?" Ask Marbella.

I raised my head to look at Marbi.

"The man said: Every morning a gazelle wakes up in Africa. The deer knows that he must outrun the fastest lion, or he will die. Every morning in Africa, a lion wakes up. And he knew that he had to outrun the slowest antelope, or he would starve" Marbella said her words as she walked back and forth before me.

"So, what does that mean?" My toot.

"It means that, it doesn't matter whether you're a gazelle or a lion; however... When the sun comes up, you better run," Marbella turns around and pulls my blanket. The morning air immediately hit me, fresh but cold. I bent my knees.

"Ah, alright.I'll get ready now and please don't snatch my ore ration while I bathe," I handed the rest of the chocolate in the cup to Marbella's hand. He accepted it and immediately sipped the rest, then returned the empty cup to my hand and ran away.

"Cow."

I walked in, and Maria and Moonflower were joking in the kitchen and preparing some dishes as I put the cup in the dirty sink.

Passing through another room the atmosphere looks deserted. I don't see James, Jiso and the rat troop, maybe they're more comfortable being outdoors, it's rare to see them roaming around indoors like they used to when we were living in the mountains. I went to the bathroom to clean myself up.

"Have you tidied up and prepared your needs for our journey, Mars?" marbella asked as we had breakfast together.

I'm nodding.

"Mary will come with us" he continued.

I didn't expect that, but didn't Marbella want others to know so much about us all along? I glanced at Maria and continued my breakfast.

Marbella meets an army of rats after finishing her breakfast. Moonflower followed behind. They seem to have a serious conversation. I chose to go back to the room and check the items we needed to bring with us.

"Be careful on the trip and return soon," Moonflower said as she took off our departure.

By renting a train, we headed for the mountains, but not to return to our home. The journey felt quite smooth and calm although several times complaints were thrown from the mouth of Mary when the car passed through a hollow or muddy road. City girl.

The train stopped on a road that was no stranger to me. We continued on foot to the big tree. Not knowing for sure what reason Marbella again chose the same place in addition to the beautiful scenery from up here. Ahem City with its flickering lights that amaze at night. Maria seemed rather surprised to know our destination. A little different only we now have two tents that can protect us from the cold and weather changes.

"How long are we gonna be here, Marbella?" Mary asked to break the silence.

"Till the little man master the new thing, again," replied Marbella.

"Rest, I'll cook" said Marbella, giving me a small book.

I received the book and walked towards the base of the largest tree that was here. The air filled my lungs, the sun was not so hot this afternoon, only my stomach was a little rumbling. "Do all magic books have beautiful covers like this?" I muttered through the little book in my hand. Brown-coated book with gold engraving, there is a letter 'G' embossed on the middle of the cover. Busy admiring the book cover I unknowingly fell asleep.

"Use every means to let me know if something precarious happened during our time away" Marbella said that morning to Moonflower before leaving.

"And use all your days to defend" he continued.

"Don't worry" Moonflower replied.

After finishing breakfast and delivering Marbella, Mars and Maria to the fence, Moonflower returns to the terrace, meeting James, Jiso and an entire army of rats.

"We mustn't let our guard down" Moonflower reminded.

All the rats understood.

Moonflower entered the house and slowly the mist covered the existence of the house. Back to the dimension.

Mars squirms lazily as the sun mischievously hits his sleeping face.

"Hahha, the sun knows it's lunchtime, Mary laughs.

"Come on!" Take it with a hand signal.

I approached and sat down on the pedestal that had been spread out, the lunch looking delicious, like at home. I don't know since when Marbella's cooking skills improved.

"Looking lunch in nature, it's great to remember" Maria chirped between the feeds.

Marbella looked well-mannered before her, and I had no intention of chiming in on Mary's words. The girl smiled to herself, I don't know what she remembered.

"After eating you really should start reading the notes, Mars" Marbella said.

"Okay, Marbi," I said.

"Can I go see the book?" ask Maria.

Marbella answered quickly. "No."

Disappointed look on Maria's face.
