"Whatever it is, I can't help!" Jack replied sure.
"What?! I haven't even said it!" Becca frowned.
"Sorry Becca!" Jack insists. She tries to close the door, but Becca quickly prevents her.
"Where's Jack who people say is good? where's Jack who people say is friendly? does this? or it's not your true nature!" becca stared seriously at the man who canceled his intention to close the door.
"Okay, what do you want for help. Explain it!" Jack did the cross-hand pose as usual. The door is wide open.
"Look this." Becca let out a long sigh first before explaining. "When at the cafe, Richy had taken a photo of us kissing and-and-"
"What?!" Jack reflex cut Becca's speech because it was so shocked.
"Listen first!" becca firmly while showing her index finger to Jack's face. "And the problem is, the photo is now spread to my High School chat group. Everyone has assumed we're dating." she continued.
"Just get to the point!" jack was impatient.
"I want you to go with me to prom reunion." Becca stared expectantly.
"You just have to tell me we broke up. Simple, why keep convoluted. Aren't you over twenty? why are you still acting like a teenager who is looking for identity?!" reply Jack indifferently.
"What did you say? you're so outrageous!" Becca is offended by Jack's words. "I did it because of Richie! at first my intention was just to show that I was fine without him. That's why I don't want to be a sad girl anymore in front of her, but after she spreads our photos, it looks like Richy has other intentions" she added at length.
"So it's all just because of that guy? you shouldn't have to take care of it too much. Just ignore Becca, that's my best advice to you!" jack said casually, then hurriedly closed the door when Becca let her guard down.
Bruk!
The door closed hard. To cause Becca to be surprised. His hair was flying in a moment, because the door was strong enough. Becca just closed her eyes. In the end, he walked towards his home.
Becca stepped up while staring at the movement of her feet. He's bowing down.
"Hello troublemaker!" peekkik Tara who just got out of Ben's car. Her attenuation was clearly fixed on Becca who showed a tinge of disappointment on her face.
"Are you okay?" asked Ben who had positioned himself next to Tara.
"Of course not!" Becca held out both hands in wonder. He kept walking closer to his two best friends.
"Ben, why are you asking? isn't it obvious Becca's upset?!" Tara nudged Ben with her elbow. He carved a cynical face.
"You just saw Jack?" now Tara talks to Becca.
"Yes, but it's not going well." Becca grunts rough.
"What do you want? don't tell me you're trying to get him to keep telling lies?" guess Tara while rounding her eyes.
"Let's talk at home. I'm already a little cold outside!" becca said as she walked first into her house.
Becca, Tara and Ben sit together on the couch. They enjoy some snacks and soda that Becca just bought from the super market. The three tell each other about Richy's behavior towards Becca. As good friends, Tara and Ben are always on Becca's side. They also felt the same anger.
"I really want to punch Richy in the face right now!" said Ben while clenching a fist in one of his hands.
"Really! maybe that's what you have to do to get back at him!" Tara chimed in.
Becca was silent. He was too focused on staring at the phone he had just switched back on. The girl received a lot of incoming messages. The vibrating sound sounded so long, as if it was endless.
"You're right! they all urged me to come!" sahut Becca with frown. He was busy with his phone screen.
"Sure, you used to be pretty popular at school. You never even showed up to the reunion. Everyone must be curious about your situation, let alone the impression you showed before graduating is..." Tara was unable to continue her sentence. Ben, who realized Tara was lost, immediately made a sharp look to warn. But Becca was already listening, she looked towards her two best friends who seemed to be acting suspicious.
"What?! how was I before I graduated?" Becca asked seriously.
"Emm.. It's nothing Becca." Tara shook her head reluctantly, and made a subtle rejection.
"Say it!" becca insisted.
"You don't have to think about it. It's not important anyway" Ben tried to convince.
"Important, if this is related to what everyone thinks of me!" Becca keeps pushing.
"Okay, I'll tell you. And promise not to get angry!" reply Tara while leaning slightly towards Becca.
"All right!" Becca nodded confidently and immediately put up her fine hearing.
Tara finally tells her something Becca never realized. He tells her that Becca's attitude changed drastically after her mother's death. Becca, who is always kind and careful at first, turns out to be a bitch. She became a rebellious girl who wouldn't listen. I don't know how many problems he made when he was in senior class. Certainly what Becca did, had a huge impact on her reputation.
"At that time you rarely even hung out with me and Ben. You seem to be keeping your distance from everyone!" Tara bluntly.
"really? I never felt like I was moving away!" Becca refused firmly. In the end he got carried away, and was a little angry.
"I told you not to get angry!" Tara reminded. Until Becca was instantly silent a thousand languages.
"That's it. After all, I understand that with your attitude, everyone has their own way of dealing with the sense of loss that is felt. Maybe that's how you do it. The important thing is that you're improving now." Ben stared in the shade right at Becca's chocolate bead.
"That's true, after all there's nothing we can do about the past other than fix it. And you've done well Becca..." Tara tried to calm down.
"Could it be because of my attitude, Richy chose to cut off his relationship with me?" Becca contemplating. Exploring the memory of her when she lost Sarah.
"The Richie thing, he's a dick, you don't have to feel guilty about him!" timpal Ben, hoping his words can give spirit to Becca.
"Yes!" Tara agreed with Ben. He was silent for a moment, because he wanted to say something that he had always hidden from Becca. "I don't really want to say this, but before you broke up with Richy, I saw Richy making out with a girl. I'm sorry Becca, because I can only tell you now." she added, ending in a soft tone.
"really?" Becca raises her head to look at Tara. He ascertained the seriousness in the look on the face that his best friend showed. Tara responded with a nod of her head.
"Why didn't you say it a long time ago?" ask Becca.
"Because I don't want to make you sadder. At the time, you were still moving away from me. That's why I tried so hard to get close and cheer you up on graduation." Tara explained slowly.
"I'm sorry I didn't seem to notice the change that happened to me." Becca felt guilty.
"It's enough with your uncomfortable feelings Becca. We better do something about Richie!" Ben deliberately changes the topic, so that Becca does not mourn her past too much.
"I don't understand Richy spreading the photo to everyone" Becca muttered as she shook her head in surprise.
"All right now, what I want most is to throw an egg in the window of his room" Ben said, carving out a wicked smile that he rarely sees. Tara who heard the brazing smile was exactly the same. But not for Becca.
"No! all I wanted to repay him was, that I was fine, even happier than he thought. That's what makes him lose a lot!" becca is full of determination.
