Chapter 63 - The Last Part

David is in a coma. Becca was sitting languidly alone in the waiting room. He felt unable to deal with the problems that befell him anymore. Everything is completely destroyed now.

A few moments later the sound of footsteps came closer. Becca slowly looked at the owner of the source of the voice. It turns out he was Ben.

Ben immediately took Becca into his arms. That's when Jack who arrived late had to undo his intentions.

What Jack saw was like deja vu. He felt he had experienced a similar incident before, and he was not wrong. Jack had indeed seen the same moment when the late Tara died. It happened about a few weeks ago.

For the second time, Jack gave up. He canceled his meeting with Becca. Maybe he thinks it's not the right time. After all, if he really intends to say goodbye, then it will only add sadness for Becca.

Now Becca is spending time with Ben in the park. They walked together down the street.

"You sure you'll be okay if I go?" ben asked as he glanced at Becca.

Becca smiled faintly and turned towards Ben. "of course. You think I'm a kid? after all, this is a great opportunity for you. Once again congratulations yes, finally your ideals are achieved. I'm glad what happened to David didn't affect your little dream at all" she said.

After having to go through three months of unemployment, Ben is finally able to realize his dream. He uses his free time well. Ben eventually graduated from the police academy. Now the man should be prepared to do the training that will be carried out for several months.

"I promise, after training and officially becoming a police officer, I'll see you" Ben said.

Becca just chuckled, and patted Ben's shoulder gently. Actually his heart felt heavy when he accepted the fact Ben would leave. But this time he will not be selfish. His best friend also deserves happiness. Becca doesn't want to continue being a burden to Ben.

One sunny day, Becca steps into a cafe. His face looked lethargic and pale. The girl was not sick, she was just lazy to get her lipstick. Why did he do it, if he always felt that his life had been destroyed. The mysterious man she loves escapes from her. Without any news, let alone farewell.

"Order a coffee and a burger, too" Becca told one of the waiters standing guard at the cafe. He only had to wait about three minutes to wait for his order to be served. Next Becca walks out of the cafe, thinking she will eat her dish at the hospital.

Becca steps in with a gontai. As if carrying a heavy load on his feet. His blank look was pointing forward. His movements had to come to a standstill when watching the familiar figure in front of him. A tall man wearing black clothes.

Becca's heart thumped when she saw Jack in front of her. His eyes were also fierce, as if they were about to get out of his place. He doesn't know how to respond to Jack's apparitions, after a year has passed. Perhaps anger was the right thing to do to the man.

"Why did you show up again!" geram Becca tightens his jaw. His eyes began to dew and slowly dripped a clear liquid.

"Becca.." call Jack slowly. She looked at Becca who seemed to have covered her face with both hands.

"Becca, I'm sorry.." - Jack. He slowly brought Becca into his arms. But Becca refused outright, and immediately encouraged her to stay away. The girl stopped her crying.

"That's you, Jack!" becca firmly with a frown. He just left Jack.

Once again Becca's step reflex stopped, as Jack held his arm tightly.

"Can we talk about it?" jack said with a hopeful look. Makes Becca think and silence for a moment.

Feeling bad, Becca has no choice but to talk to Jack. They sat in the cafe together. The same place, where Becca had ordered coffee and burgers.

"How are you?" ask Jack gently.

Becca stared lazily and replied, "Do you think? do I look good to you?"

Jack lowered his head, then sighed. "Becca, I wanted to apologize for my sudden departure. But for the past year, all I've thought about is you..." Jack paused his words for a moment. "And now, I'm sure that myself this time will take you away with me," he stared deep into Becca's hazel bead.

"Will you forgive me, and come with me?" jack said again, still with the same look.

Becca grunts rough. "Jack, first I want to tell you that it will be hard for me to forgive you. Because after your departure, I have fully regarded you as a stranger. I don't care anymore about the love I feel for you. Second, there's no way I'm going with you, even if I forgive you I still can't!" reply at length.

"So, I think our relationship should end here. Come back busy with your secret work, I think this is what's best for us" Becca said, rising from her seat. He left Jack alone.

Jack tries to catch up, but Becca's decision is unanimous. The tall-bodied man is now only able to see Becca's back that is getting away.

'One year ago I wasted my chance to be happy. I should have been by your side when you were fragile. But even keep letting you be in another man's arms. I love you, Becca. I hope you will forgive me.' Inner Jack. Still in the same place. His essence is not diverted from the figure of Becca.

'From the beginning you were a mysterious man, and the label is still the same today. The number of secrets you keep, will only make a relationship worse. I still love you, Jack. But I can't go that easy with you. I have to stay by David and Jonas' side. That's what's important now, ' Becca muttered in her heart. His feet kept moving forward. Her tears had already trickled down her cheeks. The unexpected farewell becomes the end of the story with Jack.
