Chapter 52 - First Snow With You

Becca drove her car casually. Heading downtown, and ignoring David's warning. Honestly, there was no fear in him. The girl felt that her homeland was always safe.

The city center looked very quiet. However, Becca tried to go to several places. He put his job application everywhere. But until now nothing has gone well. Because most companies are looking for employees with bachelor graduates. Becca was trying to understand that. He stopped his car in front of a closed cafe. Becca looked at the cafe for a long time.

'I should have seen the figure of Tara smiling here, ' the inner Becca who was forced to accept back her grief. He got out of the car, then walked into the flower shop which was only a few strands away from the cafe.

"The autumn is coming to an end, I think it's a good time to give Tara a bouquet of flowers. Before the snowflakes covered her resting place," Becca murmured while holding some flowers that caught her attention.

Becca buys Tara's favorite white tulips. He also added the forget me not flower as meaning that Becca will never forget Tara. Whatever happens, Tara remains her best friend.

Then Becca drove her car to the cemetery. The location itself is somewhat separate from the crowd. The road to that place was quiet, and only contained trees on the edge of the road.

After about fifteen minutes, Becca arrives at the funeral. She stepped over while holding a bouquet of flowers in hand. From a distance he can see a familiar figure standing first beside Tara's grave. It's Ben, who looks disheveled. Unlike the usual Ben, who is always neat and clean.

"Ben?" call Becca to doubt. But his efforts did indeed make Ben look. The man who was wearing a white shirt stripes was happy when he saw the presence of Becca.

"Becca.." - cunning Ben who can't keep the joy on his face. There was clearly a problem that was happening to him right now.

Becca smiled and stood beside Ben. He looked at the mound of land that had become Tara's final resting place. Then put the bouquet of flowers that had been in his hand to near the tombstone.

"It's only been a minute, I've missed him. He's the only place I tell stories. Now I don't know if everything would be okay without him" Ben said.

"Me too.." said Becca. "But the truth is, we're both left now."

Ben just nodded his head. She looked at Becca with the corner of her eye. The weather also looked cloudy as if it was carrying the sadness that was wracked by the two people.

Ben and Becca are now sitting next to each other. Just below a large sycamore tree on the edge of the cemetery. The ground that the tree overgrown was rather tall, and it was like forming a small mountain full of grass.

"You look so messy today? what the hell's been going on?" ask Becca, start the conversation.

"I fired Becca. Now I don't know what to do." Ben shrugged his shoulders once while smiling briefly. Trying to show that he is okay.

"Huhh. I'm also now looking for a job" Becca responded, then offered her a leg. Both of his hands propped up his weight behind his back, piling firmly onto the ground. The girl looked at the sky which looked increasingly overcast.

"The autumn season is coming to an end" said Ben, who was staring up at the sky.

"Yes, that's why I came to Tara" Becca replied slowly.

"If I'm still working for the company, I might be able to help you. But..." Ben could not continue his final sentence. He showed a disappointed face.

"Come on Ben, you don't have to think that. You should be worried about yourself!" Becca scrunched her forehead. Surprised by Ben's excessive concern for him.

Ben just smiled. She was happy that Becca could behave as she always did. Especially after he managed to express his feelings.

"If I fell in love with you, maybe we're happy now" Becca said.

"Then, try it once. To fall in love with me..." Ben replied with a hopeful feeling. Cause Becca immediately lifts her head away from the man's shoulders.

Becca gave a rude snort and said, "I don't know..."

"Becca, I don't want you to think too hard about how I feel. Whatever happens, I don't want our friendship to fall apart" Ben said slowly.

"You sound stupid Ben. Honestly!" cetus Becca rolled her eyes. "Because most men, especially with their own friends, will definitely stay away if they know they are rejected. While you? I don't really know how to."

"Whatever, I don't care." Ben replied casually. Actually from the bottom of his heart, his determination had still not faded. Behind his desire to be a good friend, Ben is actually struggling to win the heart of Becca. He won't give up. Although he must accept the fact that Becca has fully liked Jack.

As Becca says, Ben's choice does sound stupid. The girl should have realized from the start that Ben was still hoping for her. Continuing to be a friend to him is just a cover Ben created to continue to be with Becca.

Unexpectedly small white grains fell down from above the sky. Make Becca and Ben stop their conversation immediately. The gazes of the two were fixated on the first snow that was descending to the ground with a gurgle.

"Very beautiful." Becca commented, amazed. He opened his palm wide. Let some snow fall there.

Ben just nodded and blinked his eyes when he looked at Becca. Both hands were put in his pants pocket.

Over time the snow that had fallen slowly, turned into a thick. Require Becca and Ben to get into their cars, then hurry to get home.

Ben accidentally follows Becca's car. Until he stopped in front of the girl's house. Becca got out of the car with a frown.

"You're not coming home?" timpal Becca wonder.

"Actually, apart from being fired from my job, I was having a big fight with my mother. Can I stay tonight. I just wanted-"

"Of course you can!" Becca immediately replied before Ben finished saying his sentence. He seemed confident in his agreement. Becca doesn't want to be a bad friend. Becca's answer elicits a thin arch from Ben's mouth.

Becca goes into the house with Ben. Unexpectedly, the apparition of a Jack had already welcomed his arrival. Jack is seen gathering in the living room with Jonas and Anna. Wait, what kind of awkward atmosphere is this?

The only person misbehaving now is Becca. He seemed to be rushing up the stairs. While Ben moved his legs to join the family room. He exchanged looks with Jack.

"Hi Ben!" hello Jack tried to break the threatening gaze that Ben was holding for him. Ben only replied with a brief smile, then sat down on the sofa opposite Jack.

The reason Jack's at Becca's now, is because of Anna. The sixteen-year-old girl managed to influence Jack to come with her.

"Tonight will be great!" Anna sneaky grin. He and Jonas are already feeling the rivalry between Jack and Ben. Although Jack seems to not care, but Anna is sure that Jack's abandonment will not last long.
