Chapter 3 - First Meeting

Becca blinked her eyes a few times. He woke up from his sleep. The girl squirms for a moment, then tapers her tongue a few times. But when she turned to the door, Becca was immediately shocked by a man who was standing looking at her.

"Who are you?!" ask Becca who stuttered because she was so surprised.

"Jack." The man with sharp eyes answered briefly.

"Jack?" becca's forehead is wrinkled. He tried to search his brain to find the name Jack he had ever known. Nihil, the man before him was now not in the history of the list of names recorded in his brain.

"You?" ask Jack, who again only said one word.

"Be-becca.." said Becca hesitating.

"Hmmm! looks like you're tired of helping Charlie," Jack guessed as he picked up the sweeper Becca had placed on the floor.

"Yes. You're..."

"The tenant of this house," Jack accidentally cut Becca's sentence.

"Oh so." Becca rubbed her nape for no reason.

"Yes, you better go home. I'll take care of everything myself" Jack said kindly. "Well, by the way, do I have to send? your house is not far, is it?" he added.

"My house is next door" Becca replied reluctantly.

"really? uh! I'm sorry if I was too cold at the beginning. I didn't think you were my neighbor!" Jack suddenly reached out.

"Well, that's natural! I fell asleep in a place that was definitely not my home, ahaha!" Becca welcomes Jack's hand. He again spoke in a reluctant tone.

"Look easy, miss..." Jack looked questioningly.

"Green!" Becca who understood immediately replied.

"Green? you're David Green's daughter?" terka Jack's.

"You know him?" Becca asked in a flat tone. Because he always felt lazy to talk about his father.

"Of course, he's the one who directed me to get a rental house this good." Jack explained.

"Oh." Becca responded indifferently.

"Yes I'd better go home now" Becca said as she galloped to the door.

"Well, nice to meet you Becca!" jack said with a smile. But Becca only replied with a faint smile.

Becca's out of Jack's house. He now really intended to want to rest in his room.

Bruk!

Becca threw herself on the bed. "Finally..surgaku.." muttered Becca who felt very comfortable with her favorite kapuk island.

The afternoon changed, David had just returned home. He brought me a big box of pizza for dinner.

"Guy! I brought you pizza, get down! and let's have dinner together!" screeched David as he looked up at the stairs. Hope his voice can penetrate the sense of hearing of his two children.

Nah! nah! nah!

Jonas, the pizza-worshipper, walked out of the room at full speed. While Becca was deliberately silent in the room, because she did not want to argue anymore with her father.

"Where's becca?" ask David to Jonas.

"Eitherway! it seems like he is still mad at you" Jonas replied, biting off a slice of pizza.

David looked worried and was only glued to the pizza that was in front of him.

"Dad! why are you dumbass? shouldn't you be seeing Becca?" Jonas scrunched his forehead.

"Should it?" David turned around to ask.

"I don't know! that's your business and Becca's. But I propose, you better talk to him. And don't scold him!" bright Jonas relax.

With a long sigh, David finally got up from his seat and walked up the stairs. She's now at Becca's doorstep.

Chequek!

David opened the door quietly and said, "Becca? let's have dinner."

"What do you care? aren't I just a troublemaker and a smear of your good name?" cynical Becca without staring at the other person.

"I'm sorry about this afternoon. I'm just saddened by the end of your education." David bluntly.

"You're very clever at inventing David's reasoning! even when mom died you still gave up!" Becca now stood up and looked at her father.

"Go now! and just enjoy your pizza with Jonas!" Becca forces David out of the room.

"Becca, I didn't mean-"

"Get out!" becca managed to get her father out of her room. He quickly closed the door and locked it.

[Flashback On]

Three years ago. Sarah Green Becca has an accident at a crossroads. At that time the car was upside down, and Sarah was trapped in it. His body could not move at all. She can only expect the help of the nearest police officer, who is none other than her own husband.

"Honey! can you help me? I'm trapped now!" Sarah told her husband by phone call. His body shook while crying in fear.

"What do you mean Sarah?! you're where? have you made an emergency call?" david asked worriedly across the phone.

"I-i..." Sarah suddenly fell silent.

"Who?! Sarah?!" David called many times. But he was only able to hear irregular noise. Without ba bi bu, David immediately rushed into his car. At that time, he was taking care of a riot. His boss's nag he just ignored. David glides alone to save his wife. But when he arrived, David found his wife already sprawled weakly on the ground. He immediately took Sarah to the hospital.

Becca, who was still in high school, rushed to the hospital to see Sarah's condition. But he instead received the news that caused his heart to ache. Now her mother is gone forever. Clear liquid escaped from both eyes.

Becca's legs felt weak, she sat herself on the floor and lamented her grief.

"I'm very sorry about the patient named Sarah Green. If he was helped sooner, it would definitely be safe!"

"It's Ed, you always do if you don't save a patient."

A conversation between a doctor and a nurse catches Becca's attention. Especially when his ears hear the name of the mother mentioned. As a result Becca was affected by the talks of the two people from the medical party.

'If David wasn't late, I'd still be alive!' becca tried to stand up. He immediately went to see David. It just so happened that his father was not far from his position.

"I want to talk!" insist Becca. David was seen talking to two colleagues.

"You okay?" david asked as he held Becca's shoulders gently. But he immediately got a rejection.

"Why are you so late for him?!" timpal Becca's.

"What do you mean?"

"You're coming late to save Mom!"

"I happen to take care of the riot that's going on!" David gave an excuse.

"So it's more important than your wife's situation!"

"Becca! don't talk at will! I've been trying as fast as I can to save Sarah!"

"Bulshit!" becca's response to the dewy eye. Slowly the clear liquid filled his cheek area. The same thing was felt by David. He actually blamed himself.

Maybe at that time Becca just made David as a scapegoat. He was devastated by the passing of his mother. For Becca, the only person who understands and cares about her is Sarah. He now does not know how to live life without the mother's affection.

David is just a father who always cares about his job and reputation. That's the main reason why Becca hates her. He never got the love he should from a father. With Sarah's death, the relationship between Becca and David becomes strained.

Becca's phone suddenly rang. He immediately checks the call that turns out to be from Tara. Without a second thought, he lifted her up.

"Hi Tara!" greet Becca.

"Wow! the crazy girl is back!" reply Tara from across the phone with her flirtatious tone.

"Yeaay.." Becca's response was lazy.

"Why don't you sound so excited?"

"I had a fight with David. Again!" Becca emphasized the tone on the final word.

"Don't I tell you a long time ago, that you and David just didn't want to budge. If you keep doing that, until you become a fossil, you'll keep fighting with him!" said Tara who tried to advise.

"Okay, so when did you get here?" Becca deliberately switched the subject.

"Awhile more. I'm just waiting for Ben!"

"I'll wait!" becca said, then immediately ended the call first.
