"Are you sad about David?" ask Jack slowly.
"Maybe.." said Becca, who felt lazy to answer more fully. He let out a long sigh and resumed, "I don't feel like I want to go back home."
Becca is actually well aware of David's concerns about her. But for him, the concern always ends with a restraining rule. That's what made him feel tired in the face of David. Becca wants to take a break from her father's sometimes stifling assertiveness.
Jack is listening trying to understand Becca's feelings. It flashed in his mind to give the girl a bit of entertainment. "If you don't want to go home, where are you going?" ask ascertained.
"Where only. To a place that calms my mind" Becca replied as she turned to Jack. He had a feeling Jack would agree to his wishes.
Jack did not respond to Becca's remarks. He drove the car at high speed. Entering the big, lonely road. This time, Becca did not mind the speed of the car Jack was driving. Even he had already thrown away his curiosity. No more fear bothering him. Becca chooses to trust Jack completely.
Jack slowly drove his car down a slightly uphill road. Until he decided to stop at a high place. The location shows a clear view of the city of Louisiana.
"What are you-" Becca who was about to protest paused her speech. His eyes stared at the scene now before him. Without further ado, the girl got out of the car and made sure her eyesight was not blocked by the windshield.
The night wind blew, not making Becca's footsteps stop. He continued walking until he came to the front of the fence that was around the side of the road. The beauty of Louisiana from above. Becca did not expect it turned out that the cityscape could be as beautiful as the stars in the sky.
City view seen by Becca :
"I feel so small. (i feel so small.)" said Becca who was still stunned by the view in front of her. His two hands slowly clung to the fence that was nearby. He was silent for a moment. Until a warmth from behind causes his attention to be instantly displaced. It was Jack. He gave up his suit, so Becca wouldn't feel cold anymore.
"What the fuck? are you now choosing to be a romantic guy?" Becca chuckles, not believing Jack's sweet treatment.
"Of course not. I'm just not comfortable looking at your back," Jack replied calmly as he put both hands into his pants pocket. His eyes looked ahead. Enjoy the views of the city of Louisiana.
Becca grimaced her face a little. He turned his eyes in the same direction as Jack. He now wears Jack's suit for himself. The coldness that had been agonizing, slowly became warmer.
"Where do you know this place? I'm the one who, since childhood, never knew there was such a place in Louisiana," Becca glanced at Jack with the tip of her eye.
"Just a few days ago I found out about this place. Let's just say I found it by chance." Jack explained what he should.
"OK..." Becca turns the eyeball and tries to understand Jack's description.
"Have you improved now?" Jack turned to look at Becca.
"A little, maybe.." - Becca lowered her head.
"Becca, I know David might make you feel tired. But he did it because he cared about you" said Jack, who tried to change Becca's mindset toward David.
"I knew. I'm actually tired not because of him. I don't know why, but I feel like my life is full of misfortune. College, family, romance. Things are not going well!" Becca poured out all her grievances. Jack was the first to be told.
"But you still have friends who love you. Like that guy and Tara?"
"That guy? you mean Ben?"
"Ben?" Becca flabbergasted while laughing. She wondered why everyone kept saying Ben liked her. Becca again couldn't believe it.
"You're a fool if you don't realize it!" tukas Jack, who was annoyed to see Becca giggling.
"Let me explain why I don't believe Ben likes me. First," Becca raised her index finger, then continued, "she's been mocking me a few times with her declaration of love. Second," Becca added a middle finger to the side of her index finger and again said, "Ben's been friends with me since childhood. So, she once listened to my farts, saw me sniffle, even saw me change clothes!" Becca held out both hands while revealing a very convincing expression. Until Jack was silent, and decided to give up. Even Jack chuckled for a moment when he heard Becca's words.
"Okay, now I doubt Ben likes you too" said Jack, with a fading smile.
"Now it's my turn," Becca looked seriously at Jack. "I want to know about you!" he still did not take his eyes off.
Jack smiled faintly and replied, "I'll let you have your opinion as you please."
"meaning?" Becca frowned confusedly.
"You can think of me as anything. Like secret agents, mobsters, lunatics or even vampires. I'll take it!" Jack squatted a little so that his explanation could be immediately accepted by Becca. His eyes stared into the girl's hazel bead.
Becca's face turned a little red, because Jack suddenly drew closer to her. The leaflet in his heart reverberated. To make his brain immediately forget what should be asked.
"Beca?" jack's call required Becca to replay her brain. Remembering the question Jack had asked just a moment before.
"W-what? a vampire? you think my imagination is that high?" Becca tried to show as calm an attitude as possible.
"Disregard me Becca, I mean who I really am" Jack suddenly became serious.
"Why?" Becca is becoming more curious.
"none. I just don't want anyone to know!" Jack shrugged his shoulders once.
"Sound! how can you have a boyfriend if you have such a closed personality. I'm sure whoever that girl is, she must be very tormented!"
"I don't intend to have a girlfriend, let alone a wife. So, I don't care at all about it" explained Jack slowly.
Becca who heard can't stem her feelings of disappointment. He did not think Jack was one of the people who did not believe in marriage.
"Then your kiss at the party, was it just a little thing?" timpal Becca was gonna make sure.
Jack was so excited. Because Becca's question, suddenly made her heart stir great. Moreover, there was a picture in his shadow about the kiss he did to Becca. His heart could not argue that it was a mistake. His face shows his stature. Jack tried to hurry up to find the right reason. But it looks like his silence has been too long for Becca.
"Jack?" call Becca, demand answers.
"Yes, I did it, so we could look like a real couple. I mean so Aaron doesn't throw us out of the party. I'm sure everyone thinks of us as a real couple!" Jack gave an excuse. Although in a convoluted manner.
"Oh. okay..." Becca nodded, trying to understand.
