Becca and Jack were silent for a while. Glued on the horizon that had blackened. But the lights of the city managed to decorate the beauty of the darkness. Becca turned around and leaned her hips toward the front of Jack's car.
"Have you ever had a plan for your life?" ask Becca, start the conversation.
Jack turned to Becca. But he was still faithfully standing in his place. His hands are still tightly connected to the fence. "Of course, Becca. Where there is someone who can live life without a clear plan and purpose" he said.
"That's me.." - Becca.
Jack had opened his mouth because he wanted to reply, but stopped because Becca first spoke. "Since my mother died, I've felt empty." Becca bluntly.
Jack is getting empathetic. Especially when he witnessed a lurch in Becca's face. He walked over to the girl. Then position yourself next to him. Jack leaned into his own car.
"You're lucky only your mother left." Jack stared blankly at the sparkling cityscape.
"You mean?" Becca demands an answer.
"I lost both my parents when I was a teenager. Exactly like you, so I understand exactly how you feel right now. That's why I keep telling you that, you're so lucky to still have David and Jonas by your side," Jack turned his head, returning Becca's gaze who had been looking at him from the side.
"Certainly that?" ask Becca in a soft tone. "I'm so sorry Jack.." his eyes now showed a twinkle of care.
"It's okay. Now I'm better. I'm telling you, so you don't have a lousy life like mine" Jack said with a brief smile.
"Daddy? from what I've seen, you've had a very good life." Becca argues. He looked at Jack from head to toe. Determine how expensive the clothes worn by the tall man. And Becca knew that Jack was wearing a famous brand of clothing.
"From what side? life is common. It can be about possessions, mental, affection, love, family, work-"
"Okay, I get it. You don't have to explain that much." Becca was weaving her mouth.
"Good life cannot be judged by the appearance of a person, Becca." Jack explained briefly.
Becca could only nod her head. He understood what Jack meant. So the thought can only conclude that Jack may have experienced a difficult life.
"I think it'll be morning soon, you don't want to go home?" Jack asked while folding his hands in front of his chest. His body was starting to feel cold.
"Emm. yeah, we can go home now." Becca approves. He also realized that Jack was cold. Because the man's coat has been worn to warm his body. They also got into the car. Then go to go home.
Becca looked at Jack through the corner of her eye. Accidentally the arch on his lips gave off a slight smile. He was thinking about the man who was busy driving beside him. His hazel eyes revealed a twinkle of admiration.
"Why are you looking at me like that? making it uncomfortable," Jack scolds after confirming Becca's gaze continues to be on him. His heart pounded unbecoming because it felt carried away with Becca's gaze.
"I just didn't expect, you turned out to be a good listener. Because of you, now I feel relieved, and not anxious to talk to David," Becca explained, shifting her attention forward. Right towards the paved road decorated with rows of trees on the right and left.
"You remind me of the past, Becca." Jack pulled the wheel while turning the car. He and Becca have entered Eden Street.
"Think what you want" Jack replied ambiguously. But instead resurface a thin smile on Becca's face. I don't know why the girl was so happy to spend such a sweet time with Jack.
...***...
In front of Becca's house, there was a black car parked neatly. It was around the early hours of the day the car was spotted. Inside was a man and a woman, none other than Ben and Tara. They're worried about Becca. This time Tara is seen sitting in front of the steering wheel. Ben was sitting next to him.
Tara continued to complain of her frustration, because Becca did not pick up her phone call. He also mentioned several times about the commotion he heard while talking to Becca on the phone.
Ben and Tara discover Becca's whereabouts after contacting David. Both of them even went to the police station. But David advised them to wait at home. Especially after he found out Becca had gone home first. Even so, David still doesn't know Becca's coming home with Jack.
"Why was Becca so long? did she make out with Jack?" Tara grumbling. He can't calm down if he's worried about something.
Hearing Tara's words, Ben immediately opened his eyes. He didn't want what his best friend said to actually happen.
"I hope not!" said Ben who now turned his attention towards the front. To Jack's front yard.
"Yes, I hope so." Tara shrieked and tried to understand Ben's opinion. He realized, he shouldn't have spoken so in front of Ben.
Jack's car appears to be from a distance. Then stop in front of his own house. Becca slowly got out of the blue car. The face she showed looked bright. He walked around the car and approached Jack.
Becca cupped Jack in the face and gave a touch from the lips to the lips. Both of them were not having a short kiss. The sighting causes Ben and Tara's eyes to widen.
The deg!
Ben's heart was struck by lightning. It was pounding violently due to his surprise. His heart was so tight that his mouth could no longer speak. Ben immediately lowered his head, unable to see Becca's affection with Jack.
"We'd better go home, '" suggested Tara while turning on the car engine. His face was so wry. As with Ben, he also has no power to comment. The girl in full stature immediately ran the car and passed away leaving the Becca residence.
Tara let out a long sigh as she managed to bring Ben home. He is in a difficult position. On the one hand, Tara can't defend Becca. While on the other hand, he also can not do anything about the feelings of Ben who is clearly sick. Silence is probably the best option.
"Either why, when Becca was with another man, my desire to express my feelings was always stirring." said Ben, who finally spoke. Stare blankly at the car window. Precisely on the grains of dew that drip on the outside glass. The disappointment was clearly visible on his face. Ben slowly leaned back into the chair he was now sitting on.
"I know, Ben." Tara responded as much as possible. He had completely run out of ways to comfort Ben with words. It felt so awkward for him.
"Do you think the time is right?" ask Ben seriously.
"You mean to express your feelings?" Tara turned around to make sure. But Ben's silence automatically made him understand immediately. "I think you can try it. But do it seriously. And if it's done, you certainly have to be able to accept any risk," he continued to give his best advice.
Ben nodded his head. He snorted violently while closing both eyes. Trying to forget what he saw a few minutes ago.
