Me And The Mysterious Man's
Chapter 29 - Jack & Richy Talks

"You're crazy Becca. Don't tell me you're trying to persuade Jack again?" guess Tara knew what Becca meant.

"Maybe that's the only way. That proves that Jack and I are really dating. At least just pretend at prom reunion." Becca explained while slightly bowing her head.

"There's a point too. If we retaliate with violence maybe the problem will be longer." Tara argued while shrugging her shoulders once.

"That's what I think!" Becca smiled happily. There was at least one person who agreed with his thinking.

"But what about next? aren't you afraid your lies will be long-tailed?" timpal Ben is serious.

"That's not gonna happen Ben, don't overdo it!" reply Becca trivial. He thought his plan was not a big one, and could be overcome easily.

"Right, it's all just a charade. Becca doesn't like Jack at all!" tara's eyes stared at Ben. I hope to get a response from his best friend. But Ben just looked down lethargic, as if feeling anxious about Becca's plan.

"Didn't Ben?" Tara patted Ben's shoulder gently. He urged Ben to talk soon.

"No, I don't agree with your plan Becca!" said Ben, who suddenly made Becca and Tara made so shocked.

"Why?!" reply Becca doesn't believe.

"Don't you ever tell me Jack might be a dangerous man? why do you insist on approaching her now?" Ben expressed all his doubts.

"dangerous? what's that supposed?" Tara got into the conversation.

"It's only temporary Ben. Anyway after Jack helped me find Jonas, I think he's trustworthy." Becca dismisses Ben's statement, and unintentionally ignores Tara's question.

"Whatever the reason, I still disagree!" Ben insists. He hurried to pick up his jacket lying on the sofa. "Come on Tara, let's go home!" ask him who is now talking to Tara.

"What?" Becca was flabbergasted in disbelief.

"It's Becca, I'll try to talk to her, okay?" Tara holds Becca's arm. Then he went out for a while to catch up with Ben.

"Come Ben!" tara said in a high tone, hoping Ben's footsteps would stop. But his efforts did not work at all. Tara then moved her legs to talk to Ben.

"I can't do it Tara. Know it? the photo of Becca and Jack has made me nervous. And now? he wants to continue his lie again." Ben lowered his head in disappointment. "Again why he attaches so much importance to his self-esteem. If she does feel like a pathetic girl why not admit it?" he was carried away by feelings.

"So you think of me like that?" Becca suddenly made a sound. He heard Ben and Tara talk.

"Well?!" ben's eyes widened when he witnessed Becca's presence. He dipped his saliva once. Fortunately, Ben did not talk about his feelings at all. But what he has to face now is the disappointment of Becca.

"Ben, I think you're in trouble!" Tara was getting anxious.

"You're misunderstanding, I'll explain just-"

"OK..." Becca tried to understand. He deliberately paused Ben's speech. Because everything was clear to him. "I'm really sorry, actually I didn't force you to get involved either" he continued, who immediately entered the house in disappointment.

"Beca!" Tara tried to call Becca. But he did not get an answer. The door of the house was even closed, a sign Beca had decided to end the conversation.

'Maybe I should just tell you the truth? but I lied to Emily, too.' Becca muttered in her heart. He felt a dilemma. It is very difficult to choose which one he thinks is right. So he just remembered about Jack's black wallet. Becca completely forgot to return the item to its owner.

"I forgot to give it back because I was too busy arguing with Jack" Becca said, speaking to herself.

The night changed by day. The sun is shining brightly. But Becca was still asleep. Unlike Jack who is neat, whether to go anywhere.

The tring!

The sound of the clanking of bells rang when someone entered the cafe. Tara immediately shifted her attention to the new customers. Her eyes widened when she saw Jack.

"Oh my god!" muttered Tara who felt disbelief.

Jack is seen sitting at one of the empty tables. It seems like he wants to have breakfast before going to work. Jack ordered a cup of coffee and a sandwich.

"Hi Jack, you remember me, right?" greet Tara while putting down Jack's ordered dishes.

"You?" Jack nodded. He tried to recall the face of the person now before him. "Oh, I know. You're Becca's friend, right?" guess sure.

"You're right!" Tara laughed a little. "Okay, enjoy your breakfast. I have to go back to serving other customers" he continued, then rushed to the cashier's desk.

A man who managed to attract the attention of Tara had just walked into the cafe. It turned out that guy was Rich. He seemed to be walking towards the cashier's desk. Right where Tara is.

"Richy? what are you doing here? haven't you moved to the Grand Isle?" ask Tara.

"My grandfather is sick. So I came here for a while. It also happens that next week there is a reunion. How are you emm..." Richie doesn't remember Tara's name. He hesitated to say the right name.

"Tara!" Tara who understood immediately replied.

"Yes, Tara. Sorry, I'm not very good at remembering people's names." Richie gave an explanation.

"You don't have to explain. I understand people like me are often forgotten," Tara replied with a wry smile.

After ordering a drink, Richy tried to find an empty table. His attenuation was directly aimed at Jack who was busy holding his phone. Without further ado, Richie walked over and sat down in front of Jack.

"Hey, you're Jack, right?" greet Richy while positioning himself to sit in front of Jack. His eyes widened excitedly.

Jack nodded and stared flat. He didn't know how to respond to Richy exactly. Moreover, Jack already knows about the problem of scattered photos.

Richy seemed to be smiling faintly. Then tell me about Becca. The man said Becca was a good girl. Actually, she's glad Becca has a boyfriend. Richy said that the reason for spreading photos of Jack and Becca, because they feel too happy.

Jack was suddenly interested in all of Richie's explanations. He kept quiet and kept listening. The sound of the passing of transportation in the streets is like the wind. While the clinking sound of food equipment around him did not bother him at all.

"Becca is so pathetic. Especially after she lost her mother. At the time I felt like I wasn't with the real Becca. You understand what I mean, don't you?" Richy widened his eyes and continued, "Becca is like a human passing through life without a soul in her body. The character is dead."

Jack felt overwhelmed. Because, what Becca experienced reminded her of the past. But Jack tried to throw away the memory that he thought was bad. (Jack's past story, still withheld author yes)

"You should have stayed by his side. Why did you break up with him?" timpal Jack with a frowning forehead.

"I'm bored and tired of Becca's attitude. I am not a patient man. I hope you're better than me" Richy replied. "At the same time now I've fallen in love with Donna, my boyfriend now," he continued, smiling and imagining his girlfriend's pretty face.

Jack turned the lazy eyeball, then sipped his hot coffee. Her feelings of concern for Becca returned. Jack seems to think Becca is a version of himself in the past.
