Faris stepped in to follow the doctor into his room for further consultation regarding his wife's pregnancy. With a definite step and a happy heart he could no longer explain Faris in words.
“Since last night my wife's stomach was cramping, Doc. Is there no meaningful effect for the fetus later?” ask Faris given Aisha's condition last night. Although he is also a doctor, but the matter of the womb is not the path, he does not really understand related to it.
“A stomach cramp during pregnancy is a natural thing, sir. You don't have to worry. But still have to be vigilant, especially if the cramps last a long time and the mother is really in pain.”
“Oh yes, does your wife experience morning sickness like the characteristics of pregnant women?”
Faris seemed a little hesitant, because during the time in Istanbul only this morning he returned with his wife and saw Aisha experiencing nausea this morning. For the previous days he did not know if his wife was also troubled by her morning sickness. “Em new this morning I saw my wife nausea and until dizziness, Doc,” he said telling the truth.
“Pregnancy your wife is just stepping on the first trimester, sir. So maybe the nausea and dizziness are a little tiring. To overcome it should prevent nausea triggers yes, sir.”
“Alright, Doctor. Thanks for your explanation.”
“Oh yes Sir, during the first trimester please avoid first things that make the mother tired yes, sir. Your wife's content is still very vulnerable at this age.” The doctor reminded me again while reviewing his smile. Faris knew exactly where the doctor was talking. He only scratched his nape that was not itchy because he suddenly remembered the night where he seemed to force the wife to accompany his night at that time.
“Good, Doc. I'll notice it,” he said then left the room.
When he came out of the room, his mother-in-law and brother-in-law appeared to have blocked his steps before entering the wife's room, apparently Roger participated in carrying both.
“Faris, what happened to Aisha, son?” maya asked so worried about her daughter.
“Sampe bad thing happened to my sister, you are dealing with me, Faris.” Faisal also spoke up. The man looked well-groomed with his work coat suit, as if he was getting ready to go to the office this morning.
“You guys calm down first yes, Aisha is fine,” she said hanging her sentence, she first grabbed the back of her mother-in-law's hand for then she kissed as usual.
“Mother is healthy, Mom? Sorry Faris has not been able to visit while here.” The man talked first.
“Neither, thank God the mother is healthy and well. So Aisha why can you take her to the hospital?” it seemed that the middle-aged woman could not wait to hear what was really going on with her daughter to be brought here.
“Alhamdulillah Aisha is pregnant, Mom. Last night his stomach was cramping, and this morning nausea until he fainted. That's why Faris brought it here,” he said making Maya and Faisal immediately look at each other. “Pregnant?” ask both at the same time.
“Not you guys ...” Faisal seemed to think before continuing his sentence.
“Wah ... stamps yes you are in your condition that you believe even plant shares. Wah ... I really don't understand the two of you.” Faisal was completely inexhaustible with his newly met sister-in-law.
“Ishh Brother, his name is also husband and wife, yes reasonable dong,” Maya tukas make Faris increasingly widen his smile because it feels defended, and,
“But Ms. .. yesterday not them .. ah do not know, Isal has never been married so do not know the world of the household.” The man ruffled his hair in frustration which actually invited laughter from the mother.
“Ya it's better you look first Aisha, let later the same mother Faisal replace.”
Faris agreed to her mother-in-law's proposal. He was impatient to tell this happy news to his wife who might have been awake and looking for it.
With Faris slowly trying to open the ER door occupied by his wife, he stepped slowly so as not to cause a sound that could disturb Aisha who was still closed. Just as she took a chair and sat down beside the gurney, Aisha suddenly seemed to blink her eyes with a frown, a sign that she was confused.
“Bang, Ica where?” he asked when he found his husband as soon as he opened his eyes.
Faris approached with an increasingly dazzling smile. “Ica had fainted after vomiting, so my brother brought her to the hospital.”
The man grabbed his wife's hand which was not attached to the infusion hose. “From now on Ica must stay again same Brother well. Brother must take care and your mastiin is always fine aja.”
Aisha's forehead seemed increasingly wrinkled, the drug reaction might make her unable to think clearly understand her husband's sentence. He's confused.
Faris was silent for a moment, then sighed with his smile back in sight. “Ica is pregnant, darling,” she said then kissed the fingers in her hand warmly.
Don't ask how shocked Aisha is when she hears a sentence coming out of her husband's mouth. “I-ica pregnant, Bang?” the question is to make sure, maybe the hearing is wrong or he is not fully aware of the stings.
Faris nodded quickly, “His age is only eight weeks.”
Hearing that Aisha looked down, staring at the flat stomach that was now wrapped in patient clothes. His fingers lifted rubbing the stomach weakly. It feels like just yesterday he lost his eldest son candidate, the pain is still Aisha remembered when the fetus was forced to be expelled prematurely. Without feeling his tears dripping, right about the fingers that are still rubbing his stomach. “Ica is not ready yet, Bang,” hissing with increasingly heavy tears.
Faris, aware of his grief, grabbed the fingers back into his grasp, trying to channel warmth through kisses so that his wife could be a little calmer. “It’s okay, Brother know Ica worries. Don't be afraid, honey. Ica is not alone, there is Brother now,” he said reaching for the body that is still lying into his arms.
“You’re a great mother to be. Our son will be all right, dear.” Faris encouraged his wife, trying to calm and reassure the frail-looking woman in his arms.
Perhaps it was time for Aisha to make peace with her injuries, trying to be grateful that God has given her trust again by leaving a life in her womb.
After feeling his wife was quite calm, Faris stretched her arms, “There was the same mother Kak Isal outside. Brother call them first yes,” he said which was then taken by his wife. He stepped outside after first leaving a warm kiss on the top of his wife's head.
“Yes God gave me and my husband the strength to return to keep Your trust.” A drop of dew slid back after the door was again closed by her husband.
