Ch.12 - The Power of Cai'er
"What's going on?" Xiang Yang pecked for a while, before jumping back and forth taking some distance, looking towards the giant python that was still silent in place with a depressed expression.
"What's wrong with this snake?" Xiang Yang really did not understand the situation.
Suddenly Xiang Yang felt a movement on his right arm, it was Cai'er who crept up to come out through the collar of Xiang Yang's shirt, standing on his right shoulder.
Cai'er stared at the giant python with his eyes burning green. In front of the giant python, although its body was small, Cai'er was seen lifting his chin, giving off a haughty impression, staring at the python as if it were some useless creature.
The giant python looks more depressed, the sweat droplets begin to fall, his head down to touch the ground, can be seen the giant python prostrate in front of Cai'er.
Xiang Yang opened his mouth seeing that, a peak Spirit Beast level Body Tempering Stage 5 prostrated in front of Cai'er.
Though Xiang Yang was sure Cai'er had no cultivation. He did not feel the powerful aura that was currently coming out from Cai'er's body.
Xiang Yang turned his head towards the small red snake on his right shoulder "Is this what you're doing Cai'er!"
Xiang Yang saw Cai'er's eyes glow green, he thought Cai'er had special eyes that could intimidate Spirit Beasts.
Cai'er, who had been looking fiercely at the python, now looked carefree after seeing Xiang Yang.
Puffing his chest, Cai'er nodded with pride, obviously if the little snake wanted praise from Xiang Yang.
Xiang Yang sighed with a wry smile then stroked the little red snake's head.
"Could it be that Cai'er came from a rare Spirit Beast lineage or an ancient Spirit Beast?" muttered Xiang Yang inwardly.
Suddenly Xiang Yang realized one thing. If Cai'er could scare the Spirit Beast away then maybe it was the little snake that caused the chaos in the Blood Tree Forest.
Because his presence in the outer layer of the Blood Tree Forest frightened the beasts and Spirit Beasts, moving out of the Blood Tree Forest, entering the residential area, making a mess there.
The cute and docile little red snake turned out to be extremely sinister in the eyes of the Spirit Beasts.
Xiang Yang also thought that he had not previously found a single beast or Spirit Beast because of Cai'er.
"Cai'er, are you the one who made the beasts and Spirit Beasts run out of the Blood Tree Forest?" Xiang Yang asked seriously.
Cai'er tilted her head, looking puzzled by Xiang Yang's question. Previously he had only spread his aura so as not to be bothered by the Spirit Beasts in this forest, the little snake did not know what the impact of his actions was.
Xiang Yang sighed looking at Cai'er's confused face. Xiang Yang thought, since the chaos in Hugo Village happened a month ago, it means that Cai'er was in the Blood Tree Forest a month ago.
Likely a month ago Cai'er had just hatched from an egg and knew nothing, the little snake had a mind that was no different from a small child. At least that was what Xiang Yang thought.
Meanwhile, a giant python that had prostrated, tried to escape by sneaking around. But suddenly his movements stopped because he felt a pair of green eyes with sharp pupils staring at him as if he could be killed at any moment.
Cai'er was now staring at the python intently knowing that he was about to escape. Cai'er's gaze seemed to say 'After you hurt Xiang Yang, don't expect to just run away'
"It's Cai'er, let the snake go" said Xiang Yang.
Cai'er's green eyes no longer glowed.
The giant python immediately left the place, moving so quickly it left them, even its speed exceeded the speed the previous time he was angry from being injured by Xiang Yang.
Xiang Yang held Cai'er and placed it in front of him. Cai'er looked at Xiang Yang in confusion.
"Cai'er, I thank you for helping me earlier" Xiang Yang smiled gently making Cai'er look cheerful.
"But remember this Cai'er, I came to the Blood Tree Forest to train myself! I think you can feel if I don't have cultivation..
Well, it's because I'm disabled. But it doesn't discourage me from getting stronger! I will continue to practice in order to protect the people around me!" Xiang Yang said firmly.
While the little snake in front of him looked at Xiang Yang in awe.
Xiang Yang then continued "That's why I want you not to do that again, if you continue to protect me then I will never evolve!"
Cai'er nodded her head, a sign of understanding with Xiang Yang's words.
"It's good if you understand!" Xiang Yang stroked Cai'er's head "Alright, as my gratitude for helping me earlier, I will make your favorite grilled chicken tonight!"
Cai'er's expression went straight to the pole, he immediately stroked his head on Xiang Yang's sitting thigh, the little snake looking like a docile cat.
Xiang Yang reached out his right hand, Cai'er immediately climbed up and entered into the sleeves, coiling on Xiang Yang's right arm.
Since it was still daytime, Xiang Yang planned to continue his journey. He first picked up a few arrows that he had used against the giant python, before darting away towards the north.
Now Xiang Yang was at the border between the outer layer with the middle layer of the Blood Tree Forest. He still wanted to venture in the outer layers.
Xiang Yang was intending to gather herbs to make a potion. He was indeed not an alchemist and certainly could not become an alchemist as long as he did not have Qi energy, that was why Xiang Yang wanted to concoct potions, not pills.
The potion that Xiang Yang wanted to make was named the Dragon Body potion which served to strengthen the physical body. His name was indeed domineering but the potion was in fact only comparable to a lower grade pill alone.
The pills in the section become 3 levels and 3 clear in each level.
Level 1 (bottom, medium, top)
Level 2 (bottom, medium, top)
Level 3 (bottom, medium, top)
It was roughly like that division of pill levels.
For the alchemist level itself, in Agi based on the highest tier of pills they could concoct.
For an alchemist who could make a tier 1 pill to be called a novice alchemist, to be able to make a tier 2 pill was called an intermediate alchemist, whereas a tier 3 was called an expert alchemist.
