Ch.220 - Xiang Ba & Ling Shi
5 Days had already passed since the cultivators entered the small dimension.
Xiang Ba walked into the cave deeper, with Ling Shi following beside him.
Xiang Ba glanced at Ling Shi, yet only a glance before looking back at the eighth.
The atmosphere was very quiet and felt awkward, of course it was only for Ling Shi alone, while Xiang Ba did not care much.
Ling Shi really felt annoyed at the young man beside him who was like he did not consider his existence.
A moment later, Xiang Ba stopped his steps. Without saying anything, Xiang Ba took out a twig a meter long nearby and tore off the bottom of his robe.

"What are you gonna do?"
"Certainly making torches, is it still unclear?" Xiang Ba replied without glancing at Ling Shi, he focused on winding the tear of his robe at the end of the twig.
Xiang Ba's snorting answer made Ling Shi even more annoyed, he snorted in annoyance before walking away leaving Xiang Ba to enter the cave.
Xiang Ba glanced at Ling Shi at a glance, before returning to focus on making the torch.
Yet he suddenly released a half-finished torch in his hand, took out a sword then leaped towards Ling Shi who was barely visible due to the dark.
Sensing Xiang Ba's crashing movements towards him, Ling Shi thought the young man wanted to kill him, making him pull out a sword then immediately flip over.
However it turned out that Xiang Ba had not attacked him, but rather passed him, slashing at something invisible behind Ling Shi.
Ling Shi could only silently grin because he did not understand what Xiang Ba was doing. The woman did not expect the young man to move so quickly despite already being unable to use Qi energy.
"What are you doing?!" Ling Shi became wary.
"I just saved you!" Xiang Ba found out that Ling Shi's vision was not very good because he could not use Qi energy.
So the woman could not see what she had just done. Xiang Yang showed his sword blade that had bloodstains on Ling Shi.
"You see? I have absolutely no bad intentions!"
Ling Shi frowned, previously he had not sensed any creatures would attack him.
"Don't go in too deep first or you'll die!" Xiang Ba flicked his sword, disappearing bloodstains before sheathing.
Xiang Ba walked up and took back the half-finished torch.
"You underestimated me?!" Ling Shi felt slighted by Xiang Ba.
His pride as a Transcendent cultivator did not accept being warned by a brat.
"Remember this, I don't need your protection!" Ling Shi walked into the cave, ignoring Xiang Ba's warning just now.
"Hey!!" Xiang Ba wanted to stop Ling Shi, yet the woman was already out of sight due to the dark.
"That woman!" Xiang Ba became annoyed, he quickly wrapped around the cloth on the end of the wooden twig.
Xiang Ba took out the oil then poured it on the cloth. After that he searched for two stones, banging the two stones hard to produce sparks.
With just a single impact of the stone, the resulting sparks instantly made the torch light up brightly.
Xiang Ba then chased after Ling Shi.
Xiang Ba heard Ling shi's shouting voice along with the sound of sword slashes.
With a torch in Xiang Ba's hand, his vision became wider, so he could see now Ling Shi was being attacked by a large swarm of blood-red bats.
It was a Blood Sucking Bat, a True Fondation-level Spirit Beast.
Xiang Ba quickly helped Ling Shi.
Due to the arrival of Xiang Ba who was carrying a torch, Ling Shi was able to see the creature that attacked him.
The attack of the Lotus Goddess was now more accurate, she could also more easily avoid the attacks of the Blood Sucking Bats.

"You okay?" xiang Ba asked, looking at Ling Shi from top to bottom.

But he can avoid it easily. The young man looked back at Ling Shi who had yet to change his clothes.

Just as Ling Shi walked a few steps, Xiang Ba's voice rang out making him stop a step.
