Ch.269 - Breaking through Nirvana Level
Xiang Yang flew over the open ocean. If not for the directional map towards Chenwu Continent that he had, Xiang Yang was sure that he had at least lost somewhere, at worst now he was dead.
Even though the path he went through was the safest, yet still, he would occasionally encounter an ocean storm that came unexpectedly.
Xiang Yang looked at the map to find out where he was now.
"It's been a whole month that I've been flying non-stop in this open ocean, and yet I've only come half way!" Xiang Yang looked in all directions.
Until his gaze stopped in a direction, where in the distance he saw a small island with a mountain in the middle.
"I'd better take a break on the island!" Xiang Yang darted quickly towards the small island.
Upon arrival on the island, Xiang Yang landed on a large rock by the beach.
Xiang Yang stood facing the ocean, spread his hands with his eyes closed, enjoying the breeze of the fresh breeze blowing.
"Haaah, enjoying the wind on the beach is refreshing!"
After being satisfied to feel the gusts of coastal wind, Xiang Yang darted flying to look around the island.
There were absolutely no humans on the island, most of them there were only various types of Spirit Beast snakes that simply could not harm Xiang Yang.
"Alright, I think making a cultivation breakthrough on this island is fine!" Xiang Yang landed on a small hill then sat down cross-legged.
Xiang Yang looked up at the sky, his memory returning back to the moment where Han Shizu was running the Nirvana Tribulation.
"I hope nothing bad happens like Shizu!" Xiang Yang took out two herbs.
A tier 9 herbal plant, the Hell Lotus and the Heavenly Lotus. Two herbs that have opposite elements.
The Lotus of Hell had a red color with a hot aura that enveloped his entire piece. The Heavenly Lotus had a white color, with a cold aura that was so thick.
"These two herbs can make me break through to Nirvana level, if I manage to control the wild energy of these two herbs. But if not then I could die!"
Although the risk was very high, Xiang Yang had great confidence to succeed.
Xiang Yang set his breath for a moment, making his Qi energy flow quietly.
Without delaying time, Xiang Yang began to absorb the energy from the two herbs.
Xiang Yang felt a great turmoil within his body, yet he was still able to control it.
Two days passed without feeling, Xiang Yang could already feel the turmoil in his dantian, signaling the two would soon level up.
Until a few hours later.

Xiang Yang managed to break through to the level of Nirvana without any significant obstacles.
Xiang Yang opened his eyes with sweat all over his body, his face looking dumb.
Xiang Yang looked up at the sky, looking at the clear blue sky.
"What's going on? Why don't I run the Nirvana Tribulation to break through to Nirvana level?" Xiang Yang was now confused, not knowing what was really going on.
The more lightning Nirwana Tribulation struck, it would prove how talented the cultivator was. Then what if a cultivator didn't get a single lightning strike of the Nirwana Tribulation?
"Does that mean I have no talent at all?" Xiang Yang was not sure of that because he was sure that if he had high talent "After all if I wasn't talented, I should at least get 1 Lightning Tribulation Nirwana!"
The more Xiang Yang thought, the more dizzy he became.
"Haisss, the more absurd things are happening before my eyes! I better not think about it!"
Suddenly a strong tremor occurred on the island making Xiang Yang become alert. He learned that these vibrations did not occur because of natural disasters or anything like that.
Xiang Yang turned to look towards the mountain in the middle of the island.
The top of the mountain suddenly cracked until it was seen the head of a large creature, a red snake with one horn on its forehead.
"I'm reminded of Cai'er." Xiang Yang recalled Cai'er who was once in the shape of a small red snake.
"Sorry big snake, I have no business with you!" Xiang Yang gave a thumbs up before suddenly disappearing from his place.
"HHHHHHHH!!"
The huge red snake hissed loudly as it could no longer sense Xiang Yang's existence, as if the young man was lost to the earth.

Xiang Yang entered the small dimension of his world ring. His entire body still felt pain because it had just broken through to the level of Nirvana, the foundation was still not solid and the energy in his body was still turbulent, he could not control it to the maximum.
If he fought against that giant snake then all he would gain was death.
Xiang Yang sat down cross-legged, starting the process to stabilize his body condition.
After a few days of meditation, Xiang Yang felt the energy in his body was no longer turbulent.
He came out of the small dimension, reappearing in his previous place.
Xiang Yang raised his eyebrows when he saw the giant red snake now wrapped around the mountain in the middle of the island.
The giant red snake instantly opened its eyes the moment Xiang Yang appeared.
"You don't seem to want to let me go." Xiang Yang prepared to fight "But good as well, you want to become a guinea pig to test my strength!"
"HHHHHHHH!!"
The snake hissed loudly before spitting out a breath of fire towards Xiang Yang.
"Want to fight fire?"
Xiang Yang took a deep breath until his chest bloated, then spouted out a breath of two-colored flame.
The two bursts of flames pushed each other for a while before Xiang Yang made a loud jolt, making the gigantic red snake's fire breath thrust forth.
*BOOOMMMMM!!
The red snake's fire breath was unable to hold the breath of Xiang Yang's fire, leaving his head exposed to the attack.
The head of the red snake fell to the top of the mountain that he was twisting. A moment later the red snake rose again and looked towards Xiang Yang with a murderous gaze.
The dragon aura burst out from Xiang Yang's body, along with his eyeballs becoming golden with sharp pupils.
"Although your strength is on par with Nirvana level, it will still not be able to defeat me!" Xiang Yang darted flying with the Dragon Sword in his hand.
The giant red snake hissed before devouring Xiang Yang whole.
But suddenly, a blade of sword was sticking out from the neck of the giant red snake, as if a thorn was thrust from within its body.
The giant red snake hissed in pain.
The blade of the sword spun up to 360°, making the head of the giant red snake severed.
Xiang Yang darted flying, chased after the head of the red snake and then cut off its horn. He used his Qi energy to make the red snake's huge horn float.
"I think it can be made into a weapon. Well. although I don't need a weapon but not with my sect members later, I can make this as a souvenir!"
Not only did he take the horn, Xiang Yang also took out the serpent Spirit Crystal.
Xiang Yang inserted horns and Spirit Crystals into his dimensional ring, before darting flying, continuing on towards the Chenwu Continent.

**If you read PDK, Shin also experienced the same thing as Xiang Yang. Shin did not get the Lightning Tribulation** at all**
