Ch.181 - Wu Zhang's Explanation
Wu Zhang and Elder Wu could only breathe a sigh of relief because they never intended to destroy the Golden Dragon Sect like the White Flow Alliance and the Black Flow Alliance.
"Chairman of Xiang Sect, have you really destroyed all the sects that belong to the White Flow Alliance?" Wu Zhang asked with a trembling voice.
"Does Sect Leader Wu need real evidence?" Xiang Yang asked with a meaningful look.
"Ah.. there is no need for Sect Leader Xiang!" Wu Zhang immediately replied because he knew the meaning of Xiang Yang's words.
The real evidence meant that Xiang Yang would destroy the Waterfall Sect as proof of his words. Of course Wu Zhang did not want that to happen.
"Haha, I was just joking Sect Leader Wu!" Xiang Yang laughed softly, but a moment later his expression turned serious "But. didn't the neutral flow also already make an alliance?"
Wu Zhang and Elder Wu fell silent, he became panicked at Xiang Yang's words.
"Wait for Sect Leader Xiang, listen to my explanation first. Even though our neutral sect has indeed made an alliance yet not to destroy the Golden Dragon Sect like the other two alliances!"
"The two alliances of the two streams wanted to destroy my sect due to the orders of the Blue Dragon Sect, they were willing to carry out those orders in hopes of gaining rewards or good relations with the Blue Dragon Sect. Then why doesn't the Neutral Flow Alliance want to destroy my sect?"
Wu Zhang sighed before saying "Before explaining that, I should explain about the Fire Mountain Sect first.
Wu Zhang also explained that the Fire Mountain Sect arguably stood up not too long ago, but it could already be one of the strongest neutral flow sects in the Ming Empire.
Wu Zhang found out that the Fire Mountain Sect was founded by the Blue Dragon Sect in the Ming Empire, aiming to take control of the Ming Empire.
Starting from forming a neutral sect, then after being strong enough, the Volcano Sect would start a movement, just like the Purple Sky Sect had done before.
Wu Zhang learned of that because he had accidentally heard Jin Zhu's conversation with an envoy from the Blue Dragon Sect who had come to this Ming Empire.
Wu Zhang did not know what purpose the Blue Dragon Sect wanted to take over the Ming Empire, but he chose not to interfere because he did not want to have any problems with the Blue Dragon Sect.
Provided that if indeed later what the Blue Dragon Sect was planning in the Ming Empire was not to harm its sect then Wu Zhang thought it was no problem.
But about 10 months ago, the Volcano Sect instead attacked the Purple Sky Sect, which must have made Wu Zhang feel angry.
He had already sent out a letter in which asked the Mountain of Fire Sect to release the Purple Sky Sect, but it was rejected outright.
Wu Zhang as the Sect Chief of the Waterfall naturally could not do anything. If fighting against the Fire Mountain Sect for the sake of seizing the Purple Sky Sect was certainly not worth it, since the strength of his sect with the Fire Mountain Sect was arguably on par.
The war would definitely drag on and would take a lot of casualties, whether it was on the side of the Volcano Sect or on his side. Wu Zhang naturally did not want that to happen.
A few months later, the unexpected happened, where the Purple Sky Sect was successfully retaken by a group of cultivators whom Wu Zhang had expected to be the rebel forces of the Ming Empire.
Many sects sent envoys to come to the Golden Dragon Sect, one of which was of course the Waterfall Sect, but all of them were rejected because the Golden Dragon Sect was closing down.
Time passed, a few months after the destruction of the Fire Mountain Sect, the Blue Dragon Sect sent letters to all the big sects in the Ming Empire to destroy the Golden Dragon Sect.
This made many sects confused but eventually most of the big sects received the order because they could get rewards and have good relations with the Blue Dragon Sect later.
Eventually the 3 sects in the Ming Empire made their respective alliances.
Where the White Flow Alliance and the Black Flow Alliance were aiming to destroy the Golden Dragon Sect, whereas the Neutral Flow Alliance had a different purpose.
Wu Zhang who had indeed known the purpose of the Blue Dragon Sect who wanted to rule over the Ming Empire, could read the hidden intentions of the Blue Dragon Sect.
Where the Blue Dragon Sect wanted all the sects in the Ming Empire to be in conflict with each other, so as to cause a deep war. A war that would definitely eat many cultivators, whether it was weak to strong cultivators.
That way surely the Ming Empire would weaken over time, until the Blue Dragon Sect could easily take control of the Ming Empire.
Wu Zhang did not want that to happen, until he decided to make an alliance with the other neutral sects. Where the Neutral Flow Alliance is aiming so that they can protect each other in the event of a war, but they do not want to be involved in the war at all.
In order for even the later black-flow sects and white-flow sects to weaken due to the war, there was still the Neutral Stream Alliance that could guard the Ming Empire.
Actually Wu Zhang had already from the beginning wanted to warn the Golden Dragon Sect about the threat from the White Flow Alliance and the Black Flow Alliance, but could not because of the Golden Dragon Sect closing down.
Wu Zhang had already sent envoys frequently, but had always been refused entry. Finally he decided to wait until the Golden Dragon Sect began to open up.
But after several months, the Golden Dragon Sect still closed itself, Wu Zhang had already sent messengers several times back but the results were the same.
After speaking at length, Wu Zhang sighed "Now with the arrival of Sect Leader Xiang, I thought I could directly warn you, but it turns out that you have already destroyed the White Flow Alliance!..
I was actually hoping this could end well without any bloodshed, but I realized my thinking was too naive."
Xiang Yang was seen thinking after hearing Wu Zhang's explanation. He now got new information and got some guesses.
The Blue Dragon Sect, it might just have a bigger plan. Mastering the Ming Empire was only a small plan to realize their grand plan.
The Ming Empire could not have been the only empire that the Blue Dragon Sect had targeted, but other empires as well.
And for what purpose the Blue Dragon Sect did it all, Xiang Yang still did not know for sure, yet he already had some conjectures.
