Reincarnation of the Hero

Reincarnation of the Hero
Ch.83 - The Known Face

After beating up the fool, Xiang Yang continued eating. After a while, a group of people entered the inn.

Sensing a familiar aura, Xiang Yang turned towards the door where Xiang Han and Trio Xiang entered the inn.

Xiang Yang saw Xiang Zu walking with a dark face, while Xiang Ba and Xiang Jun looked lethargic, only Xiang Han looked as usual, however Xiang Yang could see his father's expression implying a regret.

Looking at Xiang Yang who was sitting at the corner table of the first floor with Cai'er, Xiang Han smiled simply.

"Yang!"

Hearing that, the Xiang Trio immediately looked at Xiang Han's gaze and found Xiang Yang with Cai'er.

The Xiang trio smiled, although their sad expressions were still clearly visible.

The four of them immediately approached Xiang Yang then sat down on an empty chair, still a table with Xiang Yang and Cai'er.

"Finally you guys arrived, I don't think you're coming!"

"How could brother Yang, I will definitely get first rank later!" Xiang Zu replied with determination.

Xiang Yang raised his eyebrows and turned to his father "Dad what really happened?"

Xiang Han sighed before recounting everything they had experienced while on the way.

Where previously they traveled with the First Elder and the 2nd Elder, in the middle of the journey, they were confronted by a group of people where a fierce fight took place.

They won the fight by killing all the enemies, but the casualties on their side were also inevitable.

The 2nd Elder who was severely injured with one of his arms cut off, could not last long due to running out of blood, and ended up dying.

This was what made Xiang Han feel guilty for not being able to protect his people. Surely the one hardest hit because of that incident was Xiang Zu himself who was the son of the 2nd Elder.

Before his death, Xiang Zan advised Xiang Zu to win the tournament. This made Xiang Zu's determination unstoppable.

While the First Elder himself, chose to bring Xiang Zan's body back to the Xiang Family residence to be buried in the tombs of the elders.

Eventually, they continued on the journey of four.

"So like that" Xiang Yang sighed softly, feeling understood by what Xiang Zu was feeling right now, because in his previous life, he had felt the same way.

Cai'er was also concerned about Xiang Zu, he had also felt the same way, losing both parents before his eyes.

"You must be strong brother Zu, I'm sure uncle Zan is proud to have a child with a firm heart like you!" Xiang Yang patted Xiang Zu's back gently.

"Yes, I won't let you down!" said Xiang Zu determinedly "Then will you also enter the tournament later?"

"We decided not to enter the tournament!" this time Cai'er opened his voice.

"Eh, why?" ask Xiang Han.

"Because if we go, we will win, so we want to give others a chance!" answer Cai'er.

Actually, Xiang Yang wanted to join the tournament because he thought he might get a prize in the form of a weapon later.

But after obtaining many weapons in the Ghost Hand Graveyard, it made Xiang Yang undo his intentions.

"Good, that way I'm sure I can take first place!" said Xiang Zu.

"Don't be happy just yet, I'm sure there are still other younger generations who have talents equal to or even surpass you! So you can't get big brother Zu's head!" Xiang Yang still remembered the previous murderous girl who had peak cultivation.

****

3 Days passed so quickly.

Xiang Zu, Xiang Jun and Xiang Ba had registered themselves as participants of the Han Empire Tournament.

The town square is now crowded with thousands of spectators.

Of course, the audience area is not necessarily allowed to be freely entered by everyone without any rules.

Only True Fondation level cultivators were allowed to enter the tournament area, and all those cultivators were separated based on their backgrounds, such as the origin of the sect, or which family they came from.

There is a circular fence that covers all arenas, where it is a barrier so that the audience does not cross the line which can make them affected by the fight.

Not only is there one fence, but there are 3 layers of fence, where in the first layer there are chairs neatly lined up, is a place for spectators from famous sects or families.

The second layer was for people from ordinary sects or families in a small or medium-sized city, while for the outer layer was for ordinary people or independent cultivators who did not belong to any group. There was absolutely no chair in the second layer and the outermost layer.

In addition there was also a special stage of place for the imperial family, or important people from renowned Sects such as the Sky Sword Sect, where it became a special tribune where they watched.

However all the seats on the stage were still empty, not a single one had been filled yet.

While the participants are now sitting in chairs that are arranged around the guardrail.

Visible participants were dominated by men, but that does not mean the female participants were few.

They wore different expressions, some looked tense, full of determination, haughty full of arrogance, some even closed their eyes looking relaxed.

Suddenly a man jumps into the arena, the man is the host and the person who will be the judge in this tournament.

"Good morning everyone, now the day we've been waiting for has arrived, which is the Han Empire Tournament held once every 5 years!" the host began to deliver words of welcome.

"Alright, before I explain the rules of the tournament, let's first welcome the elders and participants from the Sky Sword Sect, Blue Dragon Sect, Milky Way Sect, to the world, Sacred Mountain Sect and of course the Han Imperial Family!"

Everyone turned their eyes towards the special stage, where there began to come out the elders from the famous Sects and the Imperial Family.

Xiang Yang noticed that all of the Sect Elders were at the 5th level of the Sky Spiritual Stage, the same as Sha Qi.

One of the most powerful among them was the person from the Sky Sword Sect, an old man with no mustache but a long beard.

All the elders brought each of their two younger generations sitting next to them.

Xiang Yang's gaze was suddenly stunned from looking on the stage for the Imperial Family, seen someone Xiang Yang knew.

Xiang Yang did not pay attention to the middle-aged man who was Emperor Han Luo, nor did he pay attention to the empress and crown prince. Xiang Yang's gaze led to the figure of the girl sitting beside the empress with a flat face.

That girl was the murderous girl that Xiang Yang met that night.
