Reincarnation of the Hero
Ch.152 - Regrets Always Come Late

"Tu'er, it doesn't matter if you really want to kill me, but can I ask for one thing?" emperor Ming Qin.

"I'll listen!"

"I know you hate me so much, you must also hate Yuan Ran so much.but.Can you let go of Xue'er?"

Ming Tu narrowed his eyes "Older brother, you have no intention of letting you live, then what makes you think I will let Ming Xue go?"

Ming Xue was the son of Yuan Ran who had made his mother suffer, naturally Ming Tu would not let go. Instead of being allowed to stay alive who will even take revenge for his mother who died by him, better to be killed alone.

"I know you guys were close when you were little, you even thought of Xue'er as your real sister back then!" Emperor Ming Tu smiled modestly "Tu'er, it doesn't matter if you really want to take revenge, but remember, don't let revenge cover your conscience, don't let that grudge control you and make you regret it in the future!..

Never repeat the same mistake your useless father did! Just because of my trust and love for Yuan Ran, I darkened my eyes and chased you away until all this happened!..

Remember Tu'er, regret always comes too late, lest you even regret your actions later! So think carefully if you want to act!"

Emperor Ming Qin's words really entered Ming Tu's heart, for some reason he became doubtful of what he wanted. Did killing his father really want him? Or is it just the desire for revenge and anger? Ming Tu did not understand that.

"Why do you want me to let go of Ming Xue?"

"Although Xue'er does tend to be selfish, she is a good girl! All this time I was able to stay alive because of the help from Xue'er who had secretly always given me an antidote to the poison that could suppress the poison in my body, even though all the bidders Xue'er gave me could not cure me, it was able to suppress the poison in my body! If not then I would have died long ago!"

Emperor Ming Qin closed his eyes, he involuntarily shed tears, regretting not giving too much attention to Ming Xue.

"Every time Xue'er gave me an antidote to poison, she always grumbled why she cared so much about me when I was such a stupid and lame father who never even paid any attention to her!" Emperor Ming Qin smiled bitterly.

Back when he was a child, Ming Tu had been close to Ming Xue, often playing together that Ming Tu had already considered Ming Xue as his own younger brother.

But over time, Ming Tu became increasingly busy with many lessons as a prospective Crown Prince of the Ming Empire, until he increasingly rarely played or even met Ming Xue.

When Ming Xue was 8 years old, due to a small mistake, Ming Xue was beaten by her mother so hard that her head hit an iron pole, causing bleeding on Ming Xue's brain, this caused the girl to lose her memory.

Emperor Ming Qin certainly learned of that after conducting an investigation despite Yuan Ran's attempts to cover up the incident.

However Emperor Ming Qin was ignorant of the incident because Ming Xue was still alive, so he thought it did not matter.

Now that he saw how good Ming Xue was to him, Emperor Ming Qin deeply regretted having neglected his daughter.

Regrets always come too late.

***

Ming Tu came out of Emperor Ming Qin's room wearing his black mask.

"How is my husband, Mr Alchemist?" Yuan Ran immediately asked.

Ming Tu was utterly disgusted to see the woman's face in front of him, eager to slap her face to the point of destroying her head.

Ming Tu sighed heavily "Please go in and see for yourself!"

"Heheh! Judging from his lethargic carrier, it seemed like the old man could not be cured!" Yuan Ran muttered in his heart before hurriedly entering followed by Ming Xue and Wang Duo.

***

The first thing Yuan Ran saw was Emperor Ming Qin who was still lying unconscious on the bed. Yuan Ran naturally immediately breathed a sigh of relief thinking Emperor Ming Qin was still incurable.

But Yuan Ran did not show his relief, the woman looked even more sad with tears growing louder.

"My husband.." said Yuan Ran softly.

"Stop letting out those fake tears..Yuan Ran!"

Yuan Ran immediately stared at the voice, his gaze directed at the face of Emperor Ming Qin who had now opened his eyes, looking at him sharply.

"You..." Yuan Ran was speechless, he hurriedly turned his head towards the two mysterious alchemists who were now unmasking him.

Yuan Ran's eyes instantly widened as he recognized one of the mysterious alchemists.

Yuan Ran reflexively took a step back as he had already started to feel depressed by this situation.

"Your Majesty, thank goodness you can come back to your senses!" Wang Duo was really happy to see his lord who had re-opened his eyes after such a long time.

While Ming Xue herself was also surprised to see who the two mysterious alchemists really were, whom she knew both of them.

"Xiang Yang!" Ming Xue could not help but stare at Xiang Yang's face.

"General Wang! What the hell are you doing?! Why did you even shut up to see these rebels enter the Imperial Palace?! Quickly catch him!" Yuan Ran pointed towards Ming Tu.

Wang Duo was silent, he did not respond to Yuan Ran's orders at all.

"General Wang! Do you also want to rebel against the Ming Empire?!" Yuan Ran stared furiously at Wang Duo.

"It's enough here rotten woman, you're over!" Ming Tu stared coldly at Yuan Ran.

Yuan Ran took a step back, he finally understood that he had lost, there was no way to escape, all his efforts in this dive had ended.

A moment later, Yuan Ran thought of one way.

Suddenly Yuan Ran grabbed Ming Xue's arm, pulled it and locked Ming Xue's movements from behind and then pulled out a knife aimed at the girl's neck.

"I-mom..what are you doing..?" Ming Xue was very surprised by the sudden action of her mother, of course she understood the purpose of her mother who wanted to make herself a hostage.

Not only was Ming Xue shocked, but everyone else there, including Xiang Yang.

Xiang Yang did not expect that there would be a mother who would actually do this to her own child.

"YOU'RE SILENT USELESS CHILD!" the sharp edge of Yuan Ran's blade slightly pierced Ming Xue's neck to the point of dripping blood.
