Note From Tarim: Habib Ali Al-Habsy and the Power of a Mother's Prayer.

When this record was written, I had just come from Seiwun to follow one of Haul Akbar Al-Habib Ali Bin Muhammad Al-Habsy series whose peak will be held tomorrow afternoon at 16:30 Hadhramaut time. In the event Khotm + Manaqib Shohibul Haul Reading in the Dome of the tomb of Imam Al-Habsy earlier, I heard a statement, I heard a statement, that one of the uniqueness and privilege of Habib Ali Al-Habsy is the fragrance of his name and fame which is even more widespread after his death, even though when he was alive he had become a famous guardian figure everywhere. Haul he is one of the proofs in fact, he is one of the few guardians of God whose Haul is not only commemorated at one point only. Uniquely, the anniversary of his death every year (both in Seiwun or Haul Solo) is always crowded with Muslims from all directions. His haul in Seiwun could be the largest and most lively Haul in Hadhramaut or even se-Antero Yemen. Haul is he in solo? Don't ask anymore.. Even those from outside Indonesia are many who come to take the blessings of Haul Habib Ali Solo every year. Not to mention the works of his special letter Maulid Simtuddhuror which is read and echoed in various parts of the world..

Which we need to look at.. What would make Habib Ali achieve all that glory? Which makes his name always called, hailed and never timeless until this moment?

Although it is certainly God who knows the secret of glory, I believe that the key to the glory of Habib Ali Al-Habsy is the power of a Mother's prayer, Plus his devotion to the Mother is very sincere and extraordinary

Since childhood Habib Ali has been left by Habib Muhammad Bin Hussein's father who was assigned by Habib Abdullah Bin Husain Bin Thohir to teach in the City of Mecca. At that time the mother, Hubabah Alawiah Bint Husein Al-Jufri who bore the responsibility to care for and educate Habib Ali. One of his habits when he was a child, every time he met a cleric, he would immediately go to his mother and say :

“Ummah.. pray for me to be like him”.

The mother happily prayed and agreed. Even when Habib Ali became a great scholar with thousands of students and followers, every time he finished teaching in a ceremony at his home, he always asked the Mother (who was sitting in the house) to close the ceremony with prayer and Fatihah.

Habib Ali's extraordinary devotion and love for his mother he once expressed in a speech :

ما أحسب أن معي شيئ أو أملك شيئ و أمي في قيد الحياة.. فما أملك كله حقه.. و لو إدعت أمي رقي و خرجت و باعتنا في السوق ما بأنكر

A mother's heartfelt words do have tremendous power. It is said that when Habib Umar was a baby, his mother Hubabah Zahro always repeated the word:

“Day.. Dai.. Dai..” while holding and cuddling Habib Umar.

Likewise when he carried and took his son, Habib Ali Masyhur Habib Umar's brother who served as Mufti of Tarim now. He always repeats the word:

“Mufti.. The mufti.. Mufti.”

Again, never underestimate the words and prayers of a mother, the sincere prayers of a mother can even penetrate the seven veils of the sky as described by the scholars. Habib Ali Al-Habsy who tomorrow we will attend his haul and many other great figures are part of the real evidence..
