SURREPTITIOUS

SURREPTITIOUS
Part 08's

"So the doctor came to check on you and gave you some prescription drugs." Irma pointed at some medicinal plastic on the table.

"What did the doctor say?" ask Amadhea.

"The doctor said, you're exhausted and stressed. Your health is declining because you often eat late" explained Irma.

Amadhea listen.

"Tante will cook for you, yes," persuaded Irma.

"But, Aunt...."

"Don't refuse, son. You're alone and you're sick" Irma said.

Meanwhile, at the main door, it appears 2 men are repairing a door that was damaged by being broken by Burhan.

Burhan himself was in the kitchen. He moved his eyes to every corner of the room. The man's gaze was fixed on the invitation paper of the old man's meeting at the dining table. He took it and read it.

"Mas" his wife called.

The middle-aged man looked over. "Amadhea is awake?"

Irma nodded. "I just cooked chicken soup for her. He had also taken the medicine as recommended by the doctor."

Burhan nodded. "Alhamdulillah."

Irma's gaze was fixed on the letter in her husband's hands. "What letter is that, Mas?"

"This is a meeting invitation letter from the school for the parents of the students in order to take the report" Burhan replied while showing you to Irma.

Irma read the letter. "Who will take Amadhea's report? His parents are dead, we don't know who his relatives are either."

Burhan seemed to think.

After the door was fixed, Burhan and Irma said goodbye to Amadhea.

"If you need anything, just call us" Burhan said.

Amadhea smiled. "Thank you, Om."

"We're leaving, yeah."

Amadhea nodded.

Burhan passed followed Irma, but the middle-aged woman's steps came to a halt. He came back to Amadhea.

"Not aunty presumptuous, but earlier Aunt saw the invitation letter of the parents meeting at the dinner table. If you don't mind, Auntie will be bringing you a report tomorrow" Irma said.

Clear circles pooled in Amadhea's eye patch. The girl could not help but hold back her cries.

Irma approached the girl and hugged her. The middle-aged woman also cried in silence. He rubbed Amadhea's hair.

Without them noticing, the white-clothed female ghost stood in the doorway of the room. He saw them both hugging. A sweet smile was engraved on his lips.

Amadhea was aware of the presence of someone. He looked up at the ghost. Amadhea was shocked and only realized that the ghost was Aulia who also had seen before unconscious.

Aulia waved her hand then her glowing body melted into a grain of white sand then flew away carried away by the wind and disappeared.

Amadhea smiled softly. Thank you, Aulia.

The next day, Amadhea went to school with a cheerful expression. He went to the cafeteria as usual. Instead of buying bread, Amadhea bought a plate of yellow rice. He sat on one of the benches and then took it.

The chair beside him shifted. Amadhea turned her head, saying Greeta with two dishes of rice. For a moment Amadhea fell silent and remembered the events of yesterday.

"Yellow rice tubers, Dhea?" greeta asked with a look fixed on Amadhea's plate.

Instead of answering, Amadhea looked at Greeta.

Feeling stared at like that, Greeta asked, "Is there anything strange?"

Amadhea. "No."

Greeta blushed. "I know I'm pretty."

Amadhea smiled. "Yes, you're always beautiful. Tumben come in the morning?"

"I'm afraid I won't get into the rice. Yesterday the cafeteria mother said she wanted to prepare the rice, so I hurried to go to school" said Greeta.

They both ate the food that they had bought so badly. Alinda and Zahra entered the canteen. Amadhea's gaze was fixed on Greeta. He narrowed his eyes in case Greeta disappeared, meaning that Greeta sitting next to him was a ghost.

"Amadhea" said Alinda and Zahra together.

Both of Amadhea's eyebrows were raised to hear Alinda and Zahra who were just greeting her.

Greeta smiled and laughed. He suddenly turned to Amadhea with his face smashed with burns. His eyes melted and his mouth let out maggots, worms, and centipedes. The rice sitting on his plate was not the rice sitting, but the creatures that were in his mouth now.

Amadhea creeps in fear. He squeezed the spoon in his hand.

Alinda and Zahra who were already in front of Amadhea looked confused. They both look at each other.

"Dhea?" reprimand Zahra.

Amadhea's views were diverted to Zahra and Alinda. "Yes?"

"Sit up!" Greeta came and stormed into the cafeteria.

"The morning routinities with the cry of Greeta" Alinda sat opposite Amadhea, while Zahra sat beside Amadhea. The ghost disappeared.

Zahra nudged Amadhea's arm. "Why didn't you answer my phone yesterday? Just panic."

"My phone is broken, the screen is cracked" Amadhea replied.

"Well, what a pity." Alinda and Zahra looked sad.

"Well, it looks so good." Greeta sat down next to Alinda.

After all the parents were present, the distribution of reports was carried out in their respective classes. This time all the disciples from sessions 1 and 2 were present with their parents.

Irma was also present to present the Amadhea report.

"Well, before I share the report of the students, I want to announce the top 3 in the XI-IPA-B class" said Bu Rita.

All the disciples seemed to be praying that their names would be on the top 3 list. Getting into the top 10 is good enough.

"The first rank with the sum of 4211 was occupied by Amadhea Claresza."

Amadhea was surprised to hear that. A moment ago he was ranked second and is now ranked first. Irma looked proud. He clapped his hands, as did the other students and parents.

Zahra who had previously ranked first clapped and congratulated Amadhea.

"Please parents or guardians of Amadhea Claresza in the future to take the charter" said Bu Rita.

Irma went ahead.

"The second rank was won by Zahra Annisa Ramadanna with a score of 4091."

Everyone applauded and congratulated Zahra. Mr. Ahmad came forward and stood beside Irma.

"Students who get the third rank with a score of 3988 is Gerald Aditya Sumarno."

His mother Gerald was welcome to come forward and stand beside Mr. Ahmad. Everyone applauded. The three outstanding student parents received their child's rank certificate from Bu Rita.

After the report distribution meeting was over, Irma took Amadhea home with her. The woman held Amadhea's arm. "Aunty is proud of you."

Amadhea smiled. "Thank you, Auntie. Auntie's gonna bother coming to get my report."

Irma rubbed Amadhea's hair.

When passing through the XI-IPA-A class, Amadhea's gaze was fixed into the superior class. It seems that the parents and students in the class have not disbanded. The classroom guardian still calls out the student's name and shares the report.

He saw one of the students staring at him. Amadhea frowned in confusion, for the man stared intently at her as if the man had a grudge against Amadhea. Though he did not know the man at all even though their class was next to each other.

Uncomfortable with the man's gaze, Amadhea chose to break eye contact first.

The man still continued to stare at Amadhea even after the girl disappeared from his sight.
