One day, Sudarman's co-worker comes home. They brought their two children who were about 7-8 years old. One boy and the other girl.
Ayuni served food to the table. They had dinner together.
"Mas Dodi, Ma'am Mayang, have a good meal" Ayuni said.
"Well, thank you, Ms. Ayu," said Dodi.
"Lita, Azka, eat a lot, yes," Sudarman said.
"Thank you, Om."
"Well, Madam Ayuni is really cooking. This delicious," said Mayang while eating Ayuni cuisine.
"Emm. yes."
Ayuni just smiled.
"I love my wife and her cooking. That's why I don't hire servants or housekeepers" Sudarman said.
"You two are left?" ask Dodi.
"Yes" answered Sudarman.
Ayuni.
Meanwhile, Nino was drawing in her room as usual. In the paper was seen a picture of a man in a suit holding a birthday cake. Below the picture is a saying, "Happy Birthday, Papa."
"Papa, I'm going to pee" said Lita.
"Where's the bathroom, Mas?" ask Dodi.
"Near the family room. Just turn the stairs" said Sudarman.
Lita nyelonong go.
"Hey, wait for Papa, Lita. Papa will take you," grumbled Dodi.
"Lita is big, Lita wants to go alone," said Lita then she went in the direction indicated by Sudarman.
"He was very brave" Sudarman said.
"He's still sleeping in the room with us" Mayang said.
They laugh.
After she finished urinating, Lita came out of the bathroom, but she slipped and fell. Nino from her room peeked. The door to his room was not locked.
Nino saw a burning-faced female figure standing behind Lita. Nino looked worried. He immediately came out of his room and helped Lita stand up and took her out of there.
"Who are you?" ask Lita.
Nino's confused as to what to answer. He wanted to go to his room for fear of being discovered by his father. The boy immediately went to his room, but Lita held his hand.
"Why not go to dinner? Come on, let's have dinner together," take Lita.
"Why so long, Lita?" Dodi is coming. The man was surprised to see his daughter with a child who appeared to be younger than his children.
"Hello?" Dodi greets Nino. However, the boy did not answer.
"Whose name are you?" ask Dodi.
Nino shook her head while retreating in fear.
"What's up, Mom?" mayang asked as he approached them. Sudarman and Ayuni also came. They are shocked to see Nino with Lita.
Mayang pinched Nino's cheek. "Oohhh, this kid is so sweet. She who?"
Ayuni did not answer, because she did not know what to answer.
Sudarman replied, "We intend to adopt a child from an orphanage. Parents say it's for the lure to have children."
Sudarman looked at Nino with a gaze full of anger.
Ayuni immediately hugged Nino. "He's very shy. He's scared when he talks to strangers."
Dodi and Mayang nodded in understanding.
"Why wasn't he invited to dinner with us so he could blend in?" ask Mayang.
Sudarman looked annoyed. He no longer wants to answer anything. He is currently in anger.
Ayuni immediately replied, "We invited her, but she didn't want to."
The next day, news of Sudarman adopting orphans had already spread throughout the company.
"Well, besides being handsome, Mr. Sudarman is also good. He adopted an orphan for his wife."
"Peace of Mr. Sudarman. He wanted to have a child, but his wife was barren."
"Anything is Ma'am Ayuni Mandul?"
"If it's not barren, why haven't you had children yet?"
"Yes too, yeah."
Returning home from the office, Sudarman was furious. He went to Nino's room. Ayuni and Nino looked over.
"Get out!" Sudarman pulled Ayuni's arm and dragged her out.
Nino did nothing. He was terrified to see his angry father.
"Mas! My mother!" Ayuni saw Sudarman lock the door to the room.
"Better he's locked inside forever! I'm sick of it!" bentak Sudarman's.
"Mas, it's my fault. I'm sorry, I beg you not to lock Nino inside" cried Ayuni.
Sudarman doesn't care. He passed by while putting the key in his pants pocket.
"Mas! Sudarman!" Ayuni cried in front of Nino's room. He knocked on the door. "Nil."
A small knock came from inside the room. Nino was also crying behind the door. He knocked on the door.
Ayuni is only allowed to open the door when she delivers food and clothing that has been washed and ironed. It was Sudarman who opened the door, because Sudarman held the key.
Inside the room, Nino stared at the picture of her father on the paper he made. Water drops dripped onto the paper. Nino's crying. He saw a red crayon on his desk. The boy got up from his seat and he picked up the crayon and wrote on the wall.
MAMA, PAPA, I'M SORRY, PLEASE GET ME OUT OF HERE.
Until Nino fell asleep wrote it on the wall.
Every night, Nino is haunted by the old house's waiter. He was so scared. He made more writing on the wall with a red crayon hoping his parents would come and get him out of the room, which was getting colder and colder.
There's nothing he can do. He can scream, but not too loudly. He can't ask for help. When the ghost comes to her, she can only hide under the bed or under the covers.
MAMA PLEASE DON'T LOCK ME IN HERE!! I'M SCARED!!
PAPA FORGIVE ME!!
I BEG YOU TO GET ME OUT OF HERE!! IT IS COLD AND SCARY!!!
MAMA, PAPA, I'M SORRY, PLEASE GET ME OUT OF HERE!!!
The walls of Nino's room were filled with such writings. When Sudarman found out, he was very angry and covered the walls of Nino's room with wallpaper. Not only in Nino's room, Sudarman also installed wallpaper throughout the room in the house.
Even though it had been plastered with wallpaper, Nino still wrote with red crayons on the wallpaper.
Ayuni quietly made a square hole under the door to make it easier for her to communicate with Nino. He would insert paper into the hole under the door to ask about Nino's condition. Nino will pay it back.
Because the door hole was so narrow that the floor of the room was higher than the door, Nino had to push it from inside so that the paper could get out through there.
NINO, HOW ARE YOU? Ayuni put the paper in.
Shortly after, Nino took out another piece of paper.
IT'S COLD, I'M GOING OUT.
Ayuni looked sad when she read it. "Nino, I'm sorry Mama."
At night, Nino still writes on the wall with her red crayons. Even now the room is all red because of the crayon. The writing can no longer be read.
The red crayon in Nino's hand was already small the size of a peanut. He saw the crayon container, but his red crayon supply was exhausted. Other crayons can not stick to the wall, but the red color can, because the material is different.
Nino looked under her bed. There's a red crayon inside. The boy stretched out his hand trying to reach the crayon.
Nino hissed softly as she felt her hand scratch something. He pulled his hand and looked at the blood on his wrist. The fresh blood flowed and poured onto the floor.
It turned out that under the bed there was the end of a nail that was sticking out and very pointed.
