SURREPTITIOUS

SURREPTITIOUS
The Part 29

Irma knocked on the door, but there was no answer. Greeta and Alinda looked at each other. Zahra still looks worried.

"Excuse me? Dhea?" Irma knocked back on the door, but there was still no answer.

"Dhea?" call Alinda.

There's no answer.

"We'll just go in, yeah, Auntie. Fear Dhea why-nothing," said Greeta.

Irma nodded then turned the doorknob and pushed it. "It's unlocked!"

As the door opened, they were shocked to see Amadhea lying on the floor.

Greeta closed her gaping mouth.

"Astagfirullahaladzim!" Irma touched her chest in shock.

"Dhea!" Alinda came to the body. He checked the pulse on his neck.

Zahra patted Amadhea's clothes stained by the dry soil. "Astagfirullahaladzim, what happened to Dhea?"

They took Dhea to the room.

As PMR, Alinda took care of Amadhea painstakingly. Greeta becomes Alinda's helper while caring for Amadhea. While Irma cooks in the kitchen assisted by Zahra.

"The temperature is high" said Alinda, holding Amadhea's cheek. While his forehead is compressed.

Greeta looked sad. "The love of Amadhea lived alone in her house. When I was sick no one knew."

Alinda breathed heavily. "We pray, may Dhea get well soon."

Greeta nodded.

Suddenly a running sound was heard accompanied by a child's laughter. Alinda and Greeta looked at each other.

"You hear that?" ask Alinda.

Greeta nodded her head. "Is there a child in this house? Dhea has a sister?"

Alinda put her shoulder down. "I know he's an only child."

Greeta touched her goosebumps.

"Ah, stop. It was probably a neighbor's child" Alinda said.

Sraaasshhhhh!

Irma sauteing seasoning.

Zahra prepared the plate to the table. He looked at Irma. "Aunty? Can we eat like this? We even got to take it, yeah. Aunty to bring groceries from home."

"It's okay, Zahra. Aunt Seneng, really, Dhea has many friends," Irma argued.

Zahra smile.

"Dhea don't be given vegetables. He can only eat porridge, boiled eggs, and vegetables" Irma said.

"Okay, Auntie." Zahra placed a bowl of porridge, a vegetable bowl, and boiled eggs onto the tray.

"Be careful on the stairs, yes," said Irma.

"Yes, Aunt." Zahra. As he climbed the stairs, Zahra saw a shadow passing by the stairs.

Zahra's steps stopped. He looked around. "Alin's? Greeta?"

There's no answer.

Zahra continued her steps up the stairs. He entered Amadhea's room and saw Alinda changing Amadhea's compress. Greeta was there too.

Greeta was immediately hungry when she saw Zahra carrying a tray. "Well, is that food?"

"It's porridge and vegetables for Dhea. We eat other foods" Zahra said.

"Oh? I should have smelled the aroma of sauteed spices." Greeta moved from her seat.

"Where are you going?" ask Alinda.

"I want to eat" said Greeta. He disappeared behind the door.

Zahra put the tray to the table. Then he looked at Amadhea. "He hasn't woken up yet?"

Alinda shakes. "If you're hungry, eat first. I'm gonna wait for Dhea to wake up."

"I'll wait for him too." Zahra sat down beside Alinda.

"Greeta has an eating disorder, she cannot stop eating. She must be ashamed to eat alone. You must accompany him" Alinda asked.

"Why am I living alone?" ask Zahra.

"I'm a PMR. I have to take care of Dhea" said Alinda.

Alinda sat down and pulled out a map from her bag. It was the DNA test Amadhea wanted.

The laughter of the little boy was heard again. Alinda looked at the wall clock that showed at 9 p.m.

Is there a kid playing at this hour? Their parents must be angry, inner Alinda.

Kreeaaaak!

Alinda looked at the door. There's a little boy peeking. Alinda could not see clearly the child's face, as the room was rather dark.

"Who are you?" ask Alinda.

There's no answer. The little boy was still standing there. Alinda took her phone and turned on the flashlight and panned to the slightly open door. There's nothing there. When his HP flashlight was turned off, the silhouette of the little boy's body was still there.

With trembling hands, Alinda turned on her HP flashlight again and panned in the same direction. There's nothing there.

The deg!

This time the sound of the child's laughter was clearly heard behind him. Alinda was trembling with fear. The little white-eyed boy was standing behind him, right across the bed.

Alinda swallows saliva. He dared to turn around to look behind him. However, there was nothing behind him. The laughter of the little boy slowly disappeared.

Grdrkrk!!

Alinda was shocked to hear a bang from the closet. He went to bed and slept beside Amadhea and covered her body with a blanket.

What is that sound? Why does it feel so connected here? Does this house have ghosts? Alinda looked so scared under the covers.

Amadhea's fingers are moving. His eyes slowly opened. He turned to his side and saw a mound wrapped in a blanket.

What else is this? Amadhea looked terrified.

The mound seemed to be twitching like someone who was trembling in fear.

Slowly Amadhea's hand moved to touch the blanket and then pulled it.

"Yeah!!!!" Alinda and Amadhea shouted at the same time.

"Alin?!" Amadhea was shocked to learn that the person hiding under her blanket was Alinda.

"Dhea? Are you awake?" Alinda forgot what happened. He seemed happy to see Amadhea had regained consciousness.

"This you? Is this really you, Alinda?" amadhea asked, holding Alinda's hand and face.

Alinda nodded. "Yes, it's me."

"You came to my house?" Amadhea seemed to be in disbelief.

"It wasn't just me, Zahra and Greeta came too. We want to stay for a red date tomorrow" Alinda said.

"stay? But...." Amadhea did not continue her words.

"Why?" ask Alinda.

Amadhea thought, wouldn't it be a problem if they were here? I'm afraid the ghosts are bothering them.

Alinda rubbed Amadhea's shoulder. "Dhea, don't daydream."

Amadhea reindeer.

"Tante Irma cooks porridge, vegetables, and boiled eggs for you. Eat first, yes," said Alinda.

Amadhea saw the tray on the table. "Auntie Irma is here too?"

Alinda nodded. He took a bowl of porridge and thrust the spoonful of porridge on Amadhea.

Amadhea. "I'm a little nauseous, I don't want to eat."

"Eat just a little, yes," persuaded Alinda.

Amadhea did not refuse any more. Alinda fed him painstakingly.

Amadhea's gaze was fixed on the map at the table near the tray. "That's what?"

"Oh, yeah. It's the DNA you need." Alinda handed the map to Amadhea.

Amadhea accepted. "How much? I'll tell my relatives."

Alinda looked at Amadhea seriously. Being stared at intensely, Amadhea became groggy.

"Why look at me like that?" amadhea asked half a grumble.

"That's your sample, right?"
