The charm of Ayra Khairunnisa

The charm of Ayra Khairunnisa
233 Ammar's Heart is Still Hard

Morning at the residence of Kyai Rohim. Umi Laila and Ayra have been busy preparing some breakfast menu. Qiya and Ammar ran into the kitchen. They were looking for the figure of their Mbah Kakung. Kyai Rohim who after the prayer at the mosque was picked up by a neighbor next to his village. So Ammar and Qiya did not find the figure they were looking for, those who were happy to be with Kyai Rohim. They will get their Mama's childhood story from Kyai Rohim.

Ammar asked Umi Laila, "Mbah Uti, Mbah Kung where?"

"Bah Kung was picked up this morning. Maybe I'll be home soon." Answer Umi Laila.

"Isn't Mbah Kung unhealthy anymore Mbah?"

Ayra who just put Sop's vegetables on the table. He answered Qiya's question.

"That Kung could not answer 'no' when people asked for his help. Not healthy anymore."

Qiya stared at the menu that had been available. He will just take tempe bacem which aroma makes his stomach sound. Ammar quickly held his sister's arm.

"Wash your hands first."

"God...."

Ayra raised her index finger towards Ammar and she moved. A sign that one sentence his son spoke is inappropriate.

"Sorry Ma."

"Can't call like that."

"Yes Ma. Sorry Qiya. My beautiful and cute sister,"

Qiya who was already pouting because she was called the kingpin did not answer. The hand he folds because it's in front of his chest. Ayra approached her daughter. He rubbed his son's head.

"Come on.... If anyone apologizes. How should we?"

"But big brother always repeats the taunts. I don't like Mama."

"I was just kidding Qiya. You've now taken sanad to be the grumpy guy from Papa?"

Umi Laila heard Ammar laugh.

"Ammar... Ammar. Lah kok ngerti sanad. I'm sure I'll go get you, son."

"No Mbah. Ammar doesn't want to go in."

"Loh .. loh. Why won't you?"

"Ammar don't want to be away from Mom. The cottage is not good." said Ammar lirih.

"Alhamdulilah Mbah's grandson dear parents. Ta-"

"Assynolt...."

Suddenly Kyai Rohim and Bram heard from the front. Umi Laila quickly walked towards the front room. Qiya who saw Kyai Rohim and his Papa. Quickly approach Grandpa.

"Where is Kung from?"

Umi Laila pulled one seat. Kyai Rohim sat on the chair made of teak wood.

Kyai Rohim answers Qiya's question, "Mbah Kung from the hospital."

"What is Mbah Kung doctor? If anyone is sick, Mbah Kung is called?" Ammar protested because early in the morning his Mbah Kung had been picked up by people and turned out to swipe the sick.

Kyai Rohim was asked to pray for someone who is elderly and has been critical for almost a week. The old man, tired of enduring the endless pain, asked his children to read the Qur'an.

None of his sons and daughters-in-law could read the Koran. So some neighbors suggested asking Kyai Rohim and his santri to recite prayers and the Qur'an for the old man. And Kyai Rohim took some of his disciples to the old man's house. Bram takes Kyai Rohim and some of his students. Because the one who picked up Kyai Rohim was only wearing a motorcycle.

"Rubber," Qiya co-opted Ammar's comments.

Kyai Rohim sips the coffee that Umi Laila just put on the table. Then Furqon's father opened his black skullcap, and he placed it next to his coffee cup.

"So Look Ammar, Qiya. When someone asks for our help. And we can, we have to help the guy."

"Indeed Mbah Kung asked for help what is Kung? he said he was sick." Ask Ammar curious.

Umi Laila who was preparing dishes to eat with Ayra smiled at Ammar who felt her curiosity was so similar as Ayra when she was a child. There are always questions, 'why? Hows it? When's? What's?'. Sometimes Umi Laila fuss answered the curiosity of Nuaima's daughter.

Now Ayra's baby has the same curiosity as when Ayra was the age of Ammar and Qiya.

Kyai Rohim sees a fried banana on the table. He took one and enjoyed it. And after finishing one fried banana, Kyai Rohim again enjoyed the bitter thick coffee that he had just shaved.

Kyai Rohim answered Ammar's question, "So the sick man wanted to listen to his grandson read the Quran but none of his children could read it so he asked Mbah Kung for help with his santri kang to read it."

"Didn't they teach when Kung was little?"

"Yes Mbah Kung doesn't know."

"Meaning that teaching is useful also yes Kung to help others." Qiya asked curiously.

"Ows. Not only to help others but to ourselves and our parents when they are dead and we are still alive in the world."

Ammar is seen approaching Kyai Rohim. He came back curious.

"Bah Uti this can tell for you. Try Mbah Uti the same story of Ammar and Qiya."

Umi Laila Quickly wiped her hands and sat down at Qiya's side. The middle-aged woman gently rubbed Qiya's head before answering Ammar's question.

"So later in the afterlife. Some will be surprised at one practice that is not done but makes the person get the reward. There is a person who feels shocked because he cannot read the Quran but when in the afterlife gets the reward of reading the Quran a lot. So he asked the angel. 'Whose reward is this angel? I can't read the Quran."

Kyai Rohim answers Umi Laila's question. This is a very pleasant moment for Ammar and Qiya when in Kali Bening. They will listen to stories from Kyai Rohim and Umi Laila who are impressed like storytelling. But get into their hearts.

Kyai Rohim answers Umi Laila's question.

"Your head."

Umi Laila asked again, "Lah wong I can not read the Quran Loh Angel."

"That's your son who reads the Qur'an every day."

Umi Laila put on a serious mimicry while continuing her story.

"Then the person was suddenly startled again. He again asked about the reward of tahajud prayer when the person never prayed tahajud. 'Yes angels. Whose reward is this?"

Kyai Rohim replied, "Your father."

"Why can it? I never prayed tahajud loh angel." Umi Laila replied with a confused expression.

Kyai Rohim answered again, "That's your son's daughter who is diligent every night praying tahajud. So you got the reward."

Suddenly Ammar scratching his eyebrows, he asked Umi Laila, "Then if for example his grandchildren sin? That person can sin too Mbah Uti? or just Pahala?"

"Yes, so not only reward but sin also flows for our dead parents. If we sin."

Ayra who sat by Bram's side. He waited for a moment like this, a moment where so that his two children understood if studying and teaching at the cottage was important.

"That means Umi, the point is to be a child of Sholeh who can read the Quran, diligently pray Sunnah prayers that must have knowledge dong Mi?"

Ayra smiled as she glanced towards Ammar. Umi Laila understood Ayra's intentions, her daughter had told her that Ammar and Qiya did not want to go to school at the boarding school.

"He must have science. And that science must be learned." Umi Laila answered Ayra's question.

Qiya who was lulled in the chatter spontaneously asked.

"Do you have to go to Mbah Uti, to learn it? Qiya doesn't want to go to school at the boarding school."

"Ammar too" said Ammar.

"Well, why don't you go for a mole?"

Kyai Rohim looked at his two grandchildren in turn.

"His words in the hut were delicious," Qiya answered innocent Kyai Rohim's question.

Bram quickly answered.

"Now Papa asked. Same mom Papa is smart who reads his Qur'an?"

"Mama." Answer Ammar and Qiya compact.

"Mama Hapal the Qur'an. That's because your mom is studying at the cottage. While Papa is not. So Papa who does not go to school in the boarding school is clearly losing his knowledge if it is about the Science of Religion compared to Mama. Then you said Mama is the best. It's because Mama's a mole. So do you want to make Papa happy tomorrow in the Hereafter because Papa who does not memorize the Qur'an gets the reward of the children of Papa who are Clever and can read the Quran let alone memorize the Qur'an like Mama."

"Mau Qiya! Qiya dear Papa!"

Bram's daughter quickly kissed Bram's cheek. Bram also replied to his daughter's sincere words.

"People love Qiya and Ammar."

Ammar was not satisfied with his thoughts. He asked back.

"But Papa and Mama are not dead. Ammar does not want to go. If Qiya wants to go, you're on your own. Brother does not want. Sister can study on YouTube, sister can still diligently pray so that papa and mama can be happy reward from Ammar without having to go to the house."

"Yes, it's okay to continue to be a child of Sholeh and study diligently ya."

Kyai Rohim saw the look on Ammar's face began to look riled up.

"The character is like Bram. May Allah soften the heart of my grandson Ammar, that he may wish to enter happily. Aamiin's."

Umi Laila told Bram and Ayra to have breakfast because they were going to the residence of Mr. Erlangga. Breakfast was started with Ammar leading the meal prayer. In Bram's heart he looked at his son while praying for his son.

"May Ammar be a child who loves his mother, and he be kept away from evil. Aamiin's."

That morning after breakfast. Bram and his small family headed to the house of Mr. Erlangga who had attended Liona and Beni. Beni's wife was cooking Qiya's favorite Brownies. As for Ammar, he had bought his nephew's favorite vanilla ice cream. Liona loves Ayra or Rani's child. So no wonder if his nephew will be very enthusiastic if he will meet with him.

Moreover, Ammar and Qiya know that his aunt has not had children. One thing that makes the love of the children of Ayra was present for Liona, because Ayra never told the ugliness in her brother-in-law. If Qiya and Ammar knew how the aunt treated their mother, then surely the two Ayra's children would not love Liona sincerely.

There would be no good relationship between his aunt and nephew because the stories were then passed on to the children. Luckily Ayra understood that telling the ugliness of her nephew's aunt in the past would always create seeds of hatred in her son's heart. So that the story of Liona's ugliness towards Ayra never reached the ears of her two children. A story that only became memories had even been forgotten for Ayra.
