CHAPTER 163: MEETING AGAIN
Everything went according to Myro's plan, after he gained Taredo's loyalty Myro and the others returned to Fort Rulfes again.
The problem was that now Loir had not returned to his grandfather Herfu at all, he still remained in the Rulfes Fortress so Myro could not let Taredo train the Orc Goblin warriors in the fortress.
However, Taredo is secretly transported by Myro through Herfu prison, if Loir sees Taredo here, he must know Myro is the one who took Taredo away from prison. So he could only wait until Loir left.
Then according to the plan that had been made before, Myro brought his troops to seize 5 cities belonging to the Orc-Goblin Kingdom without waiting for the arrival of Herfu.
At first Myro was able to capture the 5 cities without any problems, but when he captured the last city, he fell into an enemy trap that made Myro lose 4 of his precious prisoners.
Knowing this, Herfu went to the Myro region as quickly as possible. But it was too late, with Guliger returning to the Orc-Goblin Kingdom, the enemy had already rebuilt their defenses.
Myro now stands in front of the Gate of Herisen City which was the 5th city he captured from the Orc-Goblin Kingdom after obtaining the Rulfes Fortress and defeating a combined army of 3 cities.
In Herisen City as well, Myro lost 4 prisoners due to enemy traps. Myro and Albert's movements were very careful, therefore no one would realize they were working together.
Although some people are suspicious, what is the point if they do not have evidence? So, Myro is confident his cooperation and Albert will not be seen.
The wooden city gate slowly opened, the figure of Herfu carrying its 40,000 warriors visible.
"General Herfu, thank you for coming all the way to this small region to help!", Myro said respectfully, however Herfu's position in the Kingdom of Azeroth was much higher than his "I'm also prepared to accept any punishment for the wrongdoing I've made up to the loss of 4 valuable prisoners".
Looking at Myro who lowered his head like he felt guilty, Herfu smiled bitterly.
Based on the secret letter sent by his grandson, the loss of 4 prisoners belonging to Myro as contrived. Moreover, Myro capturing 5 additional cities belonging to the Orc-Goblin Kingdom was also too easy.
For that reason, Loir believes Myro is cooperating with King Albert of the Orc-Goblin Kingdom. The problem was that there was not the slightest evidence of their cooperation, neither Herfu nor Loir could blame Myro for not a single bit of evidence.
But Herfu was not angry because of Myro's actions, even he was amazed.
Myro was able to make an act that would deceive the entire Kingdom of Azeroth without anyone else knowing except his followers and King Albert himself, not everyone could do such a thing unnoticed.
"How can I punish Baron Myro who has worked so hard? Baron Myro's own efforts have made us control 1 fortress and 9 cities of the Orc-Goblin Kingdom, half of the enemy's territory is already in our hands, losing 4 prisoners is only a small matter", said Herfu smiling kindly on his old face "Now we just need to wait for a noble decision whether Baron Myro will be punished or not, but I think that your Majesty must not punish you but reward you for your hard work so far".
"It was only a small matter, as a noble of the Orc-Goblin Kingdom, then I should have worked for the kingdom" Myro said "In retrospect I have prepared a feast to welcome General Herfu and his troops in the city, let's go before the food gets cold".
Herfu nodded, after all Myro still had to politely greet him as a difference in status.
While Myro and the others continued to be in the largest house in Herisen City until night.
When the party ended, Myro offered Herfu a stay at the mansion.
But Herfu refused, deciding to rest with his soldiers.
As a general, how could he sleep in a mansion while his soldiers slept in tents? Therefore, Herfu rejected Myro's invitation.
After the party was over and everyone was about to leave, a surprising person came to see Myro, his father, Baron Aras.
Behind Baron Aras, there is a man who has a face very similar to Baron Aras except he looks younger which is about 30 years old. The man was none other than the eldest son of Baron Aras, Koris Aras.
When Myro was young, Koris was old enough to accompany his father to the battlefield which made Myro not see him often.
Although not often met, Myro knew very clearly the nature of Koris, he was almost like Baron Aras.
Be it Coris or Baron Aras, they are both people who do not seek their own interests but prioritize family interests.
Like Baron Aras who dumped Myro before, he did it for the benefit of the family.
