THE FIGHT TO BE KING

THE FIGHT TO BE KING
CHAPTER 44: THE REAL TRAITOR

Before Myro could say anything, Ren had already opened his folding fan "Isn't that a very stupid question, General Limo? Why would a real traitor bother asking about who the traitor is?".

Limo's face froze when she heard Ren's words, but she immediately laughed as she said "Are Miss Ren joking? If that's true then I suggest you stop because the joke you said just now is not funny at all, it will only cause misunderstanding if the 4th prince hears it".

"Misunderstanding? General Limo, are you interested to hear the reason why I consider you a traitor?", said Ren slightly smiling behind his folding fan.

"Alright, since Miss Ren doesn't seem to be jokingly treating me as her traitor, Miss Ren can tell you why she thinks that. Even if all that would be useless because I am not the traitor" said Limo confidently.

Ren did not waste any more time, he immediately said "General Limo, is there nothing strange today? You've been waiting for a letter from King Cavalry II, haven't you? But until now, the letter from him had not arrived yet".

Hearing Ren's words, Limo's face became increasingly gloomy, but she continued to try to maintain her smile while saying "What are you saying? Why do I not understand at all? Miss Ren, it's better not to carelessly speak without evidence".

Ren stared intently at Limo before shaking his head "I hope you admit it in the first place so we don't have to waste any more time, but you don't seem to be planning to admit it unless there's clear evidence. Then there's no other choice, I just need to show you the evidence so you can no longer avoid it".

Under the shocked gazes of Limo and Myro, Ren took out 2 scrolls that he had hidden in his pocket "General Limo, do you know what these 2 things are?".

This time Limo's face completely changed, her entire body trembling frantically "How is it possible? Why are those 2 scrolls in your hands?".

Myro looked at the 2 scrolls to find that a scroll had the military insignia of General Limo which meant that the letter was from Limo while the other letter seemed to be the insignia of the Cavalry Kingdom, the symbol on this letter is unique to each person because it is made using special tools, therefore it is very difficult to make a false symbol.

Every noble or great general must have their own emblem like a flag, this is done so that people can more easily recognize something. For example, if there is a horse carriage with a certain noble emblem then people will definitely not disturb the horse carriage carelessly so as not to have problems with nobles.

Limo stepped forward to retrieve the letter, but Ren moved back to avoid it while saying "General, you better give up, you won't be able to take this letter out of my hands".

Seeing Ren's movements that could avoid his hands easily, Limo knew that Ren was quite well-trained, at least not everyone could avoid his movements easily.

Limo took a breath and suppressed her panic, he already knew that 2 letters in Ren's hands were enough as proof because the letter that had the Limo symbol was a letter he sent yesterday to King Cavalry II. As long as the 4th prince saw the letter, he must have realized it was actually written by Limo either in terms of his handwriting or the symbol on the letter, another letter was likely a reply from King Cavalry II, whom he had been waiting for this morning. The reason the letter did not come was not because King Cavalry II did not send any more letters but that the letter was in Ren's hands.

"Why are the 2 letters in your hands?" said Limo confusedly, but he was quite sure that they could not fall into the hands of others.

Myro also looked at Ren curiously.

"Then when King Cavalry II's reply was sent, the tamed pigeon did not return to your place but went into the hands of Lord Myro's troops who had the ability to tame the animal. Now, do you understand why these 2 letters are in my hands?".

Myro was a little surprised, in the Falka army there was indeed a Mongol Cavalry who had the ability to tame animals. However, the Mongol cavalry had to wear horses that needed to be cared for every day, so the existence of this animal tamer was urgently needed to care for the horses so as not to get sick and be able to fight the most effective circumstances.

But who would have thought that Ren used animal tamers in charge of caring for the horse in order to catch the pigeons that Limo sent to King Cavalry II.

Limo smiled bitterly "Where did you know I would betray? After all you must not have sent all the beast tamers to all the tents of the higher-ups, why did you think from the beginning that I was the one who betrayed?".

"I found out when we moved from the camp to the Trock Fortress. When your troops brought all the stuff in your tent, I coincidentally discovered that you had a pigeon in your tent that was very strange. If you're happy raising animals, why are you taking them to the middle of the battlefield? From that point on, I've been suspicious of your purpose in keeping the pigeons handy to carry the message" Ren said.

Limo shook her head "You don't suspect me for that reason, do you?".

"That reason is more than enough to suspect you, even I asked Jerat and the soldiers who knew you whether you were happy to see the pigeons, they all answered no which made me even more suspicious", said Ren.

"Hahahahaha, it turns out that's just that reason, that little mistake that made me lose to you. You are very scary, Miss Ren. I admit that I lost, I betrayed the 4th prince because I hated him" Limo said shaking her head, she already knew that she had now lost to Ren.

"No, you didn't do it because you hated the 4th prince" Ren said.

Myro who was at the side could not help but ask curiously "Then what was the reason Limo betrayed the 4th prince and tried to kill him by using the Cavalry Kingdom army? Is this another prince's plan?".

Ren shook his head "Limo is the general under the 4th prince's grandfather, his loyalty cannot be doubted so he cannot possibly follow another prince".

"Then why did he do all this?", asked Myro.

"General Limo did this because the one who gave him the task of killing the 4th prince was the one he could not refuse, the master he gave his loyalty to, he said, the lord who was far more important than the grandfather of the 4th prince who had taken care of him since he was in the military to become a general, the one who gave General Limo the task of killing the 4th prince, King Azeroth V, the one who had given him the task of killing the 4th prince, the leader of the entire Azeroth Kingdom right now!", said Ren closing his folding fan while smiling confidently.

Myro was now completely shocked because he could never think that the current King of Azeroth Kingdom was the main culprit behind the Limo treachery.
