THE FIGHT TO BE KING
CHAPTER 203: COMPLICATED CIRCUMSTANCES
In the 5th division army of the Kingdom of Azeroth which besieged the City of Rayde, they had built an encampment located next to the army of General Torte.
A 40-year-old man with short black hair and sharp eyes was observing the walls of Rayde City, he wore a silver armor with the coat of arms of the Kingdom of Azeroth on the armor which showed he was a loyal follower of the Kingdom of Azeroth.
Suddenly a young man of about 20 years old approached the man "General Pube, is it okay for us to attack Rayde City without permission from the king? As long as the news of our assault reaches the ears of the king, we must be severely punished and even put to death. However we are the ones leading this army, all the mistakes made by Division 5 will be our responsibility".
Pube did not stare at the man behind him but instead continued to observe Rayde City "Ronvar, are you afraid? If you are afraid, then immediately return to the royal capital and report all of my actions to your majesty. If you say that I acted alone with nothing to do with you, your Majesty will not punish you but only I will be punished. Besides, when I was arrested, you might be able to rise in rank in place of my current position".
Ronvar's face changed, he shouted "General, how could I do that to you? I wouldn't be able to be in the position of deputy general of the division without your help. Not only that, I owe you a lot of kindness. Although I should be put to death though, I don't mind paying back all the good you've given me. I asked like this just because I was confused by the general's choice, I knew the general's loyalty to King Azeroth V was beyond doubt, but why did the general decide to attack Rayde City like the 7th prince said?".
"I have no other choice" Pube said sighing.
Pube was a 5th division general who commanded 100,000 troops, his loyalty to King Azeroth V was beyond doubt.
The problem is that he has a secret that is unknown to others, his daughter who guarded 100 5th Division troops every day suddenly disappeared in the Royal Capital of Azeroth.
Considering her daughter to be the most precious jewel, Pube also sought the king's help to have her son found.
But after a 1-year search, her son was never found. Pube who had lost his wife a few years ago while giving birth to the child was devastated, he lost the child who became his wife's last hope to always keep Pube.
King Azeroth V stopped the search which lasted for a year, suggesting Pube find a new wife and have another child.
But Pube could not do that, he was a person who cared deeply for his family, others could not replace his family.
In the midst of despair, the 7th prince tells Puba that his daughter is in the hands of the 7th prince.
At first Pube did not believe, but after seeing his son directly then he could only believe.
Pube understood the 7th prince trapped him using the daughter he had, but what could Pube do? His life and death were in the hands of the 7th prince.
The 7th Prince made a requirement that he should not report this incident to King Azeroth V, otherwise his son would have died.
Then Pube only needs to do 1 task before the 7th prince releases his son, which is attacking Grand Duke Rayde.
Pube was not a fool, he understood the 7th prince's purpose.
But the 4th division did not move as the 4th division on the assault this time but rather they were disguised as normal troops, he said, they also removed their uniforms, which left no evidence of the kingdom trying to restrain them for acting without the king's permission.
Although others recognized them as the 4th division, without direct evidence the king could not punish them unless the general or representative of the 4th division was captured.
While Pube was given the task by the 7th prince to attack Rayde City directly and then kill Carla, but Pube knew the 7th prince's true purpose was not that.
The 7th prince's goal was to weaken King Azeroth V, however the power in the king's hands was too terrifying.
So when the 5th Division and Grand Duke Rayde fought each other, the 2 parties must have been injured or even disappeared completely.
No matter whether it lost the 5th division or Grand Duke Rayde, perhaps his 2nd was equally defeated, the king was definitely weakened.
The loss of division 5 means the king lost 1 of his 5 divisions, while the loss of Grand Duke Rayde also harmed the king because all the nobles must suspect King Azeroth V who did it because the group that attacked Rayde City was the 5th division of the king.
It could be said that the 7th prince's plan was amazing, no matter who won, the king must have lost while others would not know all of it was the 7th prince's act.
Although some people were suspicious, they could not do to the 7th prince anything without proof.
What can Pube do? The life of his son whom he considered to be the most precious gem was in the hands of the 7th prince, there was no other choice but to follow the duties given by the prince. He also must not report to the king or anyone else, otherwise his son must have been killed by the 7th prince.
Pube looked at the sky before sighing and muttering in a small voice "I don't care what happens to me, as long as my son stays alive then I don't mind having to die on the battlefield though!".

Myro and Carla rushed to the city wall, where they found Kartaz busy preparing the defense forces.
Kartaz seemed to see them as well, therefore he immediately knelt in front of Carla "Miss Carla, the defense is ready! As long as the enemy dares to attack, we can repel them at any time".
"Good job, Kartaz! You can stop kneeling, after all you have to prepare a defense here" said Carla who helped Kartaz stand up "How long do you think you've been able to defend the walls of Rayde City?".
"2 days" Kartaz said without hesitation "But if Torte's forces and the 5th division don't cooperate with each other, I might be able to survive for more than 7 days without any problems".
"7 days huh? I hope help will arrive during that time!", said Carla gazing towards the distance. Without help, it was impossible for him to win this war.
