LTI 15 - Jiaran Capital

The Suxue Mountains were filled with snow and strong storms. Chi Rong had arrived at the Blue Moon Palace residence.

The sect that occupied the Suxue Mountains was named the Blue Moon Palace. This sect made the Suxue Mountains their headquarters or residence for hundreds of years.

The arrival of Chi Rong back to the Blue Moon Palace greeted many female warriors. The news that Chi Rong went on a journey to avenge her sister's death made the Elders worried, especially the Blue Moon Palace Matriarch who was Chi Rong's grandmother.

After arriving at the Blue Moon Palace, Chi Rong immediately fell asleep from feeling so exhausted. When his eyes closed, Shen Lao's shadow always appeared in his eyes. That young man who had made him completely helpless. Never had he felt this tired before.

After all Chi Rong was one of the two most genius women in the Jia Empire, but Shen Lao truly rendered her helpless. Luckily he received the resources Shen Lao gave him to recover his strength little by little.

Chi Rong held the Flower Goddess Pendant given by Shen Lao. When she checked it well, the pendant was a very expensive piece of jewelry if it was sold. Even the light blue jade emitted a warm energy that protected Chi Rong's body like an heirloom treasure.

“R onward, are you okay? Grandma saw your body look exhausted. Tell me who made you like this?” The female voice from outside the room door was heard.

Chi Rong was aware that the Blue Moon Palace would not be able to fight against the Sin Sword Sect or the Single Demon Lantern. If the two powers were to merge, then the Blue Moon Palace would perish. Therefore, Chi Rong chose to avenge his sister's death without involving his sect.

Although all the warriors from the Blue Moon Palace had known what happened to his sister. Chi Rong did not want anyone to have the same fate. During the revenge attack, many warriors died in vain. Dan Chi Rong preferred to be silent because she could not tell her grandmother what had happened to her while wading through the night for five days and five nights with Shen Lao at the Honeymoon Inn in Qudong City.

“Nothing. I'm just exhausted.” Chi Rong held onto her stomach before falling asleep on the warm bed.

After leaving the Suxue Mountains, Shen Lao was now in a wilderness far from the city.

Shen Lao read some documents he had taken from the headquarters of the Black Water Organization. In the Jia Empire there were four noble families, the Jia Family, the Zhong Family, the Ling Family and the Lu Family.

In the past the Jia Empire had five great families that controlled every region in the Jia Empire. But as time went on since the Shen Family was destroyed, there were only four large families left.

Of the four families, Shen Lao had only learned that lately the Zhong Noble Family was eyeing the Ling Family's wealth.

“Lucky I snatched all these documents. The Black Water Organization assisted in the usurpation of the head of the family within the Ling Nobles.” The head of the Ling Family named Ling Han was locked up in the residence of Royal Zhong in Zhongdu City.

While in the Ling Family itself there was a coup. Ironically, this happened about five years ago. From the documents Shen Lao took, it was noted that the remaining Ling Family was Ling Han with his wife and child, while the rest of his family had been wiped out by the Black Water Organization.

What was even more shocking was that the person who was working with Noble Zhong was a person surnamed Ling and named Ling Shan.

Shen Lao shook his head, “Until anytime humans will kill each other just because of matters of treasure and inheritance.”

Among them was a largest resource-providing organization in the Jia Empire under the name of the Nine Treasures Phoenix.

“I can do business with them..” Shen Lao muttered softly before continuing his journey towards the Jia Empire Capital, Jiaran Capital.

It didn't feel like it had been three days for Shen Lao to run non-stop. On the way he only met a few robbers and the Beast, after which everything went smoothly without a hitch.

Within the Unbounded Space Seal were resources and hundreds of Beast and Demonic Beasts' mountainous flesh. Shen Lao wanted to do business by selling all the resources he had obtained in the Eternal Gorge.

From far away, the shadow of a magnificent city stretches as far as the eye can see. Shen Lao felt nostalgic because he had come to the Jiaran Capital in the past.

“The Shen family is still not wiped out. Just look, I will raise my family and manifest the will of the Spirit of God!” Shen Lao smiled widely when he saw the shadow of the majestic city in front of him.

His current goal was to forge a cooperation with the Nine Treasures Phoenix. Because Shen Lao snatched away the important documents of the Black Water Organization which was a black flow group that was part of the alliance of the Sin Sword Sect and the Single Demon Lantern, then he realized that many parties wanted the treasures of the Nine Phoenix Treasures.

Shen Lao no longer flies. Slowly he came down and walked towards the approaching Jiaran Capital. The queue line entering the Jiaran Capital was very long. It took time for Shen Lao who had no papers to enter the Jiaran Capital.

After a while, Shen Lao entered the Jiaran Capital. As much as possible Shen Lao did not want to show excessive admiration. But the grandeur of the capital of Jiaran can not stem its amazement.

The capital city of Jiaran is a very crowded city because almost the streets are crowded with residents and visitors who pass by.

Shen Lao examined the floor plan of the location of the Jiaran Capital that he had taken from the headquarters of the Black Water Organization. Something shocking happened because Shen Lao did not expect that sooner or later there would be a seizure of the throne in the Jia Empire.

Shen Lao clicked his tongue, “They always just act as they please!” Shen Lao was about to put back the location plan and documents he had just read.

But after looking at the important note that was on the back of the paper, Shen Lao's eyes widened.

Nobles Zhong will be involved in assisting one of the princes in the seizure of the throne. This provoked Shen Lao to deepen the matter.

‘Lord Zhong. I will make sure you perish in great pain! I will not forget that night. The night you took my life!’ Soon Shen Lao came to one of the inns to refresh his body before going to the place where the Nine Phoenix Treasures were.

It is not difficult to find lodging because along the main road there are luxurious upscale lodging. Shen Lao stayed at the inn that had two floors.

Inside the inn room, Shen Lao felt a sense of warmth recalling as he and Chi Rong looked at the dusk sinking together.

“I think we're looking at the same sight. Did you see this beautiful twilight from there, Flower Fairy?” Shen Lao muttered softly as he stared meaningfully at the sinking sun.
