LTI 29 - Road Warrior Leader

“Nona Qiuyu your cooking is delicious. This way I don't have to worry about food anymore.” Shen Lao had Ling Qiuyu make a dish from the flesh of the Sky Stage Beast.

Five days had passed since the incident in Zhongdu City. Currently Shen Lao was having breakfast with the Ling Family.

After breakfast, as usual Shen Lao told the former prisoners who were now warriors to look for the location of some holy warriors who were not bound to the sect.

Thanks to Grandpa Nue who had acquaintances with some of his old friends, now the Nine Treasures Phoenix was already on par with a middle sect.

Any swordsman who wants to work must enter the process of touching the Stone of Honesty. Shen Lao took the Stone of Honesty in the Eternal Gorge. If anyone had bad intentions, then the Stone of Honesty would emit a black colored light. Instead a person who had good intentions working in the Nine Treasures Phoenix would emit a white-colored light.

“Has your ribcage healed?” Ling Qiuyu stood in front of Shen Lao who was looking at the members of the Nine Treasures Phoenix growing.

Shen Lao smiled mischievously and whispered softly, “Didn't my ribs that this one is fine..”.

Instantly Ling Qiuyu's face was red extinguished, “Don't say anything embarrassing. I'm older than you..”

Shen Lao smiled seeing Ling Qiuyu misbehaving, “It has been cured thanks to your cooking. The meat of the Beast you are cooking helps the healing process. Thank you, Miss Qiuyu.”

Ling Qiuyu looked at Shen Lao's face with a reddened face, “I should be the one to thank..”.

“Young Master, are we going to leave now?” Grandfather Nue and some Nine Treasures Phoenix warriors saluted Shen Lao who was conversing with Ling Qiuyu.

“The place of the exiles who became the headquarters of the swordsman. Grandpa Nue, we're leaving now. Because I want to have dinner with Miss Qiuyu's cooking.” Shen Lao smiled faintly seeing Ling Qiuyu return misbehaved. As his feet stepped, Ling Qiuyu held his hand.

“Be careful on the road..”

Shen Lao liked when Ling Qiuyu was like this, “I'll be home tonight. I go first Miss Qiuyu..”.

After Shen Lao went away from the residence of the Nine Treasures Phoenix, Ling Qiuyu held onto his chest. His heart rate skipped a beat as his relationship with Shen Lao drew closer.

The area where the exiles live is in the valley which takes about eight hours if walking from the Jiaran Capital.

But for Shen Lao, it didn't take him long to reach the valley.

“Young Master, this valley is inhabited by Street Warriors. They are not tied to the sect. If Young Master can defeat the leader of this group who has reached the peak stage of the holy warrior and opened eight gates, then the members of the Road Warrior will consider you as the new leader.” Obviously Grandpa Nue was long.

Shen Lao smiled and entered the valley inhabited by dozens of highly capable warriors. Their gazes did not like the look of Shen Lao who was a noble.

“Who is this stupid young man?! Do you intend to challenge me?” The leader of the Street Swordsman who was drinking wine came out of the house whose roof was made of banana leaves.

“You must be mocking my hiding place, right?!” The man looked angry even though Shen Lao had not commented anything.

“Quite bases! If you are the leader of this group, quickly fight with me!” Shen Lao deliberately suppressed his ability so that the Street Swordsmen could not figure it out.

“What's in it for me if you lose?” The man immediately drew his sword and walked over to Shen Lao.

“Head. You can cut off my head.”

“Good. I'll cut your head off if you lose. And if I lose, then we Street Swordsmen will be your followers.”

Shen Lao looked softly at the man's words, ‘Oi, your way of thinking is too extreme.’

When the wind around the valley blows. Shen Lao formed an invisible sword and said, “Can we start?”

The Road Warrior Leader grinned and moved forward, without further ado he gave Shen Lao consecutive attacks. The deep power that flowed on his sword blade caused great damage.

A short while after Shen Lao simply jumped up and dodged, the Street Swordsman Leader released a deadly slash forming a sharp tiger head.

“Hairmau Valley Street!”

Shen Lao held back a laugh at the name of the moves that the man shouted. His hand fended off the slash with the sword blade that was fed with aura.

“How is it possible?!” The Street Swordsman leader gasped in shock when his sword came into contact with something invisible.

“Do not rely solely on emotions. And remember, never judge a person by his or her appearance. Focus your eyes with aura, then look at what I'm holding.” Shen Lao swung a streak of slashes that made the leader of the Street Swordsman instantly retreat into a corner.

Everyone who saw Shen Lao's hand swinging just held their breath. The science that Shen Lao possessed was high. Despite having a handsome face and exuding an aura of nobility, Shen Lao actually looks very enjoying the fight like he is not a noble.

Shen Lao defeated the Street Swordsman Leader after a short exchange of attacks. Today Shen Lao again gained new powers for the Nine Treasures Phoenix.

“Leader, my name is Feng En. We of the Street Swordsman amounted to fifty people willing to become your followers.”

Grandfather Nue and the Nine Treasures Phoenix swordsman could only be stunned by Shen Lao's authority.

“Greet Senior Feng En. Since you guys have become my followers, you can listen to the explanation from Grandpa Nue..” Shen Lao stared at the entire Street Swordsman before jumping into the air, “Grandfather Nue took them to the Jiaran Capital. I'm first.”

Grandpa Nue shook his head, “This Young Master is in love with Young Miss.”.

Then Grandpa Nue immediately gave an explanation of the Nine Treasures Phoenix to the Street Swordsman.

Night arrived at the Jiaran Capital. The moon shone softly. A strong wind carried a wind filled with cold.

“News...” Shen Lao returned late back to the Nine Treasures Phoenix. He is now taking a shower and washing his body.

Then Shen Lao opened the exit of his bathroom and was surprised to see Ling Qiuyu sleeping on her bed.

Shen Lao approached Ling Qiuyu and woke her up, “Nona Qiuyu.

Ling Qiuyu opened his eyes slowly and looked at Shen Lao. Instantly his face was red from seeing the shape of Shen Lao's upper body that made his heart beat fast.

“Why are you here?” Ling Qiuyu panicked.

“I should have asked you that question, Miss Qiuyu Shen Lao looked at Ling Qiuyu meaningfully.
