THE PROMISE
CHAPTERS 103. KIDS TRAPPED

Anastasya looked surprised at Kenneth's words. He looked at the man confusedly and wondered if he was joking or serious. 'Is he crazy, huh? Give all the money to me? What the hell is Kenneth?' whispered Anastasya's heart.

When they reached the stairs, he suddenly remembered something. Anastasya recalled that he had not opened the secret compartment that was in the CEO's office! And now there's definitely no one on the top floor. If he goes back there now then he can avoid everyone's sight and find what he wants.

Anastasya's footsteps soon stopped. Then he turned to Kenneth and said, "You just go down dualuan. I'll catch up with you soon! There's something important I need to do first."

Kenneth frowned suspiciously and replied, "The door is open, what else do you want to do here?"

Oh that, I forgot there was still something left above and I had to go get it! You get out first and I'll be down in five minutes." Anastasya said. He had to go upstairs before the fire burned down the whole building.

Kenneth certainly disagrees with him. He grabbed Anastasya's arm and said, "No! You should come with me! Who knows, this place will explode again. What if the whole building collapses? You come with me now! Forget whatever it is you want to take."

Then Kenneth grabbed Anastasya's hand and walked towards the emergency exit. Anastasya grabbed the door of the emergency staircase and his other hand broke out of Kenneth's grip and said tenaciously, I won't leave before I take the item! If I don't get that thing I will most likely never get it again either! That thing is very important to me! Please go first, I'll be right down."

Before Kenneth could react quickly Anastasya stepped back as soon as he finished talking then closed the door of the emergency staircase and locked it quickly.

"Anastasiya! Have you gone crazy? You're looking to die, aren't you?" kenneth shouted at the other side of the door. Kenneth banged on the door hard but it was locked and could not be opened again.

"You go first! I'll be down as soon as I get my stuff. Don't worry about me, I promise you that I won't die here!" anastasya shouted from behind the door.

Anastasya paid no heed to Kenneth who kept banging on the door and shouting his name. He immediately turned around and ran towards the upper floor of the middle staircase. Smoke began to billow thickly throughout the building.

Not long after, the firemen and police arrived there. Kenneth was found by the fire department. "Sir, this building could explode at any time. Please come with us immediately!"

Kenneth loudly refused and said, "No! I'll stay here! My friend is still upstairs."

The fireman's eyes instantly widened in astonishment, "What? There's someone else in this building?"

And it was at that moment that the firefighters rushed towards the corridor. "Captain, there's bad news! They say that there's still a bunch of kids upstairs!"

"What?" the firefighter called the captain put on his hat and said to Kenneth, "Master, please go with them. I'll go upstairs and bring your friend down."

"I'm coming with you, open the door first!" kenneth.

"But sir, it's too dangerous for you to go upstairs with us. Somebody...please take her away!" the captain called his men to take Kenneth away from there.

Several firefighters dragged Kenneth out. At the same time, a fourth explosion occurred. When the loud sound of the explosion rang out, the entire building shook.

Hearing the words of his men, the fire captain began to look hesitant. Rise or not? But upstairs there are still people who are all children.

Meanwhile outside the building, all female employees carrying children thought their children had been taken by the person assigned to care for the children. But once they ask about their children, then they find the employee is not concerned with the children at all.

Besides being annoyed and shocked, they immediately turned to return to the office building. But before they reached the door of the building, they were all stopped by firefighters.

"The building is about to collapse! You can't go upstairs." said the fireman.

"Please, let us inside! Save our children. I can't lose my son..huhuhuhuhuhuhuhu........"

"Surge! Let me in!" The cries of the female employees mixed into one another and the situation was so chaotic.

Right at this moment, on the top floor of the office building, while Anastasua was running upstairs. The air in the corridor was thick smoky with a very low oxygen content making it difficult to pronounce. Then he ripped a piece of cloth from his body and found a bottle of mineral water and wet the cloth and bent down he walked toward the CEO's office.

Just halfway through, he suddenly heard the sound of children crying so loudly. Anastasya's steps immediately stopped. Why is there a sound of crying there? Is there anyone on the upper floor? Hasn't everyone escaped?

Anastasya thought she had misheard but upon closer hearing, she found that the crying was really there. And the crying children were also more than one person. What the hell happened back there? Why are those kids still there?

Anastasya immediately followed the sound of crying and finally stopped in the children's room. He opened the door and was surprised to see that all the children were still in the room. The employees assigned to guard them had long since disappeared.

"Damn it!" Anastasya gritted her teeth bitterly.  Not so happy if the person assigned to take care of the children usually does not care about them. But now there was an explosion in this building and he just ran away without caring about the children. That person is truly not human anymore!

But now is not the time to curse that man. The safety of children is much more important. Anastasya could not imagine the fate of the children in a room filled with smoke. Then Anastasya quickly walked in and said to the older child.

"Little sister, quickly bring them all down. There's a fire going on here, you can't stay here much longer!"

The boy sobbed and said, "Mama......."

Patiently Anastasya said, "Your mother is waiting for you on the first floor. You can find your mama when you walk in front of the door."

After being persuaded by Anastasya, finally the rather big boy tried to calm himself and invite some other children to come out together. But some of the younger children are still inside and even some of them are unable to walk.

And older children seem confused because older children can only hold two children in both of their hands.  Anastasya had planned to return to the CEO's office to become hesitant and change his mind.

He was very confident that the secret compartment should have what he wanted.  But these children are lifeless humans and at this moment the vibration of the building is getting stronger and Anastasya has a premonition that this entire building is about to collapse.
