THE PROMISE
CHAPTER 99. TRAPPED FIRE

Floors vibrate. The group of people were already getting more agitated and frightened.

"earthquake....Quakes.... Is this the earthquake?"

"It doesn't seem like an earthquake. But it looks like this vibration is coming from upstairs." said the others.

"Yes right.this is an explosion! I smell smoke! Let's all run out!"

No one knows if anyone is in the dressing room. Anastasya who was in the dressing room with the makeup artist was calm. "Maybe the director was planning something different so he added some firecrackers" the makeup artist said.

But after the makeup artist finished talking suddenly the locker room door was kicked open in a loud voice.

Anastasya stood in shock, "You....."

"There was an explosion on the top floor! Quick run!" Kenneth grabbed his hand and ran out.

The people in the changing room were stunned for two seconds before running out. Anastasya was immediately pulled out by Kenneth from the dressing room. He found the outside of the room was already very messy and the fire had also grabbed onto the stairs.

"Gasoline! Someone spilled gasoline here." shouted someone as they ran through the locker room. While running towards the gate with Kenneth, Anastasya asked.

"Why did it happen like this? Is there someone who intentionally does it?"

Just as Kenneth was just about to talk, suddenly the phone in his pocket rang and it was a call from his friend. He immediately pressed the button to answer the call. There was a voice across the phone that sounded anxious.

"Kenneth! Where are you now? The man had been saved by someone and he left a message on a piece of paper. The contents of the message said that today you will definitely die. He's asking us not to waste our energy anymore."

"I know! Immediately the police report, there was an explosion here at the Hilam Group company building" Kenneth said.

"What's? The explosion? Damnit damnit! The man who saved that man must have known you were there. Are you all right? We'll be there soon."

"Don't worry.I'm fine for a while. I'll close the phone first." Kenneth hung up the phone and while running he said to Anastasya.

"This was not intentionally done by a prankster! But this is a cruel attack. Fast lari1"

Anastasya did not ask further but grabbed Kenneth's hand and accelerated his steps towards the gate. But when they were about ten meters from the gate, they found that the group of people had all stopped in front of the gate.

"What's wrong? Why not get out?" kenneth asked coldly.

The young assistant ran over to them and shouted with a breath of breath, "The door is locked. Everyone can't get out! The fire spread throughout the area. I don't know if there will be another explosion....Mr. Archilless, Miss Tasya are we going to die here?"

Anastasya let go of Kenneth's hand and grabbed the assistant's hand and calmed him down, "Don't worry. We're not gonna die here. If the door is locked, just smash it open."

Some security guards tried to break the door. They hurriedly lifted the bench and slammed it against the glass door. But Anastasya looked surprised when he saw how hard and strong the people were trying but still the glass door was completely indestructible.

One of the security guards threw the device in his hand desperately. He shook his head helplessly and said, "It's no use..Since there's been an attack****** last year, last year, all the door and window glass in this company is replaced with hard and strong A grade glass. Let alone the chair, even by detonating the bomb the glass will not break."

Anastasya stepped up and approached the security guard and said coldly, "Don't despair first! What is this door locked to? If using a padlock, just open it with the key."

The guard looked at him and lowered his head, "How can it possibly be that simple? This door is a smart door. I've tried it many times in CCTV and security rooms. The system's smart door is broken and can't be opened at all."

Anastasya was just about to speak when Kenneth asked, "Where is the CCTV room and its security?"

The security guard looked disinclined to Kenneth. He did not dare to speak then he pointed up and said, "In the first room on the second floor....."

Kenneth nodded and said to Anastasya, "The system must have been changed.  I'm going upstairs to check it out. You stay here."

"No! I'll go with you." said Anastasya who didn't want Kenneth to go alone.

"Don't take any chances! For now it's best for you to keep waiting here. Let me just go upstairs to check" Kenneth said.

Anastasya said firmly, "I won't trouble you! I know a little about programming. Maybe I can help you. Believe me!"

Kenneth stared fixedly at Anastasya, his eyes bright, clear and icy. Kenneth knew that he could not stop him, so he was forced to agree. "Okay, you're coming with me."

The two stared at each other and ran to the second floor against the direction of the crowd. The elevator is no longer usable. So the two carefully avoided the fire caused by the gasoline spilled earlier and ran towards the second floor.

But no matter how careful they were, when the two of them reached the second floor, their legs were both already injured. Kenneth did not care about himself and then he glimpsed Anastasya's burned ankle. Suddenly he stopped and said, "Your feet....."

"Don't mind this, open the door first" said Anastasya, who did not care about her injuries. He ran into the CCTV and security room. Kenneth had no other choice but to follow the girl quickly after him.

Quickly the two of them had arrived before the door of the CCTV room and security. Unfortunately the door of the room was locked with a large padlock,

"You back off a little!" kenneth said then he took two steps back and quickly ran to kick the door of the room. The door shook twice and still stood firm. And by this time the entire room had been filled with smoke making them have trouble breathing.

"Uhukkk....." Anastasya covered his mouth and coughed a few times. He suddenly remembered that there was an emergency box at the corner of the stairs. His eyes lit up, "There's an axe there! I'll take it." he shouted.

He rushed to the emergency box and sure enough there was an axe. Anastasya kicked the emergency glass box and pulled out the axe inside. But when he pulled out the axe, he accidentally injured the back of his hand exposed to broken glass so that fresh blood seeped out.

"Damn it.." lamented in a low voice. But he was standing there not long. He just wants to open the door immediately. He wiped the blood from the back of his hand with his clothes and then quickly ran back to the CCTV room and security it was.

"Sir.I've brought it...." Anastasya gasped for breath, the smoke was sucked into his lungs so he coughed loudly. And the smoke forged was getting thicker making their eyes also blurred.
