Eps. 104 Pair of Rings
“Please ladies and gentlemen this gift from us for you. May you be a happy couple.” The waiter handed Nathan a pair of rings.
“Thanks, miss. It is an honor we can get this beautiful gift from this restaurant.” Nathan received the gift of a pair of rings after a long silence.
Nathan stared at the pair of rings in his hand.
“How is this Jovi do you want to take this gift ?” Nathan showed me a pair of rings he got. “It just so happens that we do not get a gift at this restaurant.” smile then wear one ring on his ring finger.
“Ha... I did not expect it turns out we are the lucky ones this time and get the prize.” Jovi smiles. “Moreover the waiter thought we were a couple.” took the ring from Nathan's hand.
He looked at the design while turning the ring.
“The design is not bad either.” Jovi likes a ring design that looks simple but looks good. She tried it and put it on her ring finger. “The ring is fast on your finger.” Nathan praised when Jovi wore it.
On Jovi's fingers look clean, not a single ring adorns his fingers. After his marriage to Deon.
Flashbacks
The night after her marriage to Deon and seeing the man betray her by sleeping with another woman on her first night.
“Basic guy shit ! Crocodile !” Jovi who felt upset, angry, resentful and also sad who mixed into one sitting in a chair in front of his room. “pluk.” without a doubt he took off the wedding ring from his hand and threw it just like that into the trash can that was near the seat where he was sitting at the moment.
“What is this ring I just wear to decorate my fingers plain even though the material of this ring is just ordinary. No one will notice this ring.” Jovi gave a small smile staring at the ring on his finger.
The next morning
Jovi leaves for the office as usual and he still uses the gift ring from Hindi Resto last night.
“For miss Jovi.” Rani greets him as he walks into Jovi's room to submit a routine report every day. “This month was yesterday.” Rani handed over some documents and put them to the table.
“This document is done.” Jovi retrieved some completed documents from another drawer. “Bring and archive this document.” submit the document to Rani.
“Tumben once miss wears her wedding ring.” Rani stared at the sparkling ring on Jovi's ring finger as the girl handed the documents to her. “Good, miss.” Rani immediately took the document away and returned to the secretary's room.
Daytime as usual. Because in Nathan's office he was happy and there was no meeting schedule today so he decided to have lunch with Jovi after 5 minutes ago he called him to pick him up there.
“Excuse me is Miss Jovi there?” Nathan asks Rani as she arrives at Jovi's office. “Oh... A-there sir.” replied Rani glued to staring at the ring that Nathan was wearing.
"Good God that ring why is it similar to having a miss ? Is that a pair ?” Rani still clearly remembers the design of the ring worn by Jovi which is similar to the ring worn by Nathan.
“Thank you.” Nathan too leaves Rani and heads to Jovi's room.
“What really happened between master and miss ? What is their relationship ?” Rani assumed it herself then after leaving there and went into her room again.
