Eps. 107 Pair of Sandals
Jovi just nodded in response to Nathan's words. To get rid of the tension between the two of them Jovi also began to invite Nathan to chat.
“Kak, apparently still wearing the gift ring..?” Jovi sees the ring from Hindi Resto still wrapped around Nathan's ring finger.
“Ah yes, although this is a regular ring I like it.” Nathan turned to his left side looking at Jovi. “You yourself are still wearing the ring.” looked at Jovi's fingers and saw the gift ring was also still wrapped there.
“Yes, somehow I also like this simple ring design, sak.” reply Jovi see the ring on his ring finger.
The two of them continued their conversation and the two of them took turns asking each other.
A few days later they arrived in Bogor.
“klak.” Nathan stopped his car at a large plantation that looked fresh green from a distance.
“We're here.” Nathan gets off the car and Jovi follows him down. “Do you want to rest first after a long trip ?” Jovi stood next to the man and offered him to take a short break.
“No Jovi we're here to work later just rest it after finished driving around and checking.” Nathan refused even though he felt a bit sore after driving non-stop.
“Alright, if brother is not tired we just go around now.” Jovi agreed and did not force the man to rest. “If later tired, brother just say it and we will rest for a while.” added Jovi.
Nathan just nodded in response to the words of Jovi. He immediately walked down the plantation that stretched green like emerald.
“Be careful, here it seems like it was raining yesterday because the ground still looks wet, some parts there are inundated water.” Nathan glimpsed at the ground he was treading while walking. “Yes, brother I will be careful.” Jovi who initially walked normally and did not pay attention to the road so pay attention to his steps and see the land he stepped on so as not to step on the puddle.
“What's Jovi ?” Nathan who was walking beside him turned his head towards him. “This is my brother, my shoes are dirty because they accidentally stepped on a waterhole.” Jovi shows her dirty shoes. “How is this ?” he looked confused because he didn't bring a change of shoes.
Nathan settled around. He saw two meters from where he was standing at this time there was one of his workers who was working.
“You just wait here I will find sandals or other shoes you can wear.” Nathan asks Jovi to wait for him for a while.
The man then approached a female worker there who was collecting oil palm.
“Mr Nathan, good morning.” greet the worker when he sees his boss coming. “Ya, morning. Sorry can you find me footwear for women?” Nathan made his point direct. “My client is a woman whose shoes are dirty and don't bring change, can you lend or find something that my client can wear?” he pointed at Jovi who was looking east.
“Good, sir. I'll find it for you.” the female worker then went to a small house that had a garden. “Master, sorry there are only sandals in the warehouse.” come back and bring you a pair of sandals.
“What's wrong, thank you.” Nathan picks up the slipper then turns around and returns to where Jovi is waiting for him.
“Sorry, there's only this pair of sandals. You can wear it temporarily while waiting for your shoes to dry.” Nathan hands Jovi a pair of sandals.
“Thanks kak.” Jovi took off his shoes and changed into sandals given by Nathan.
Nathan is back with Jovi. He left Jovi's shoes on to the female worker to dry them, while he and Jovi went back around to look and check on the harvested palm material.
