The Treaty of Invisibility

The Treaty of Invisibility
NEW POWER 2

3 Days ahead of the attack,

After dawn, the air still feels cold but presents a cool nuance enveloping the Sukadami countryside. The sounds of roosters clamming together in the distance as if greeting each other and and waking up Sukadami villagers to activity.

Dewi, wife of Mahmud and Arin, his sister-in-law after performing the congregational dawn prayer immediately occupied themselves in the kitchen.

While Mahmud was ready to do his routine in the chili garden.

Mahmud's house now feels very loose after Kosim and Dede leave them. If Mahmud would usually coffee before leaving for the fields accompanied by Kosim, he would no longer do so.

Mahmud's life is like returning to his home where his sister-in-law and nephew were staying. It felt bland, lonely and there was no other nuance that he felt.

“If..” there is a feeling that continues to be stuck but not a feeling of regret married to the Goddess.

Had crossed the mind of Mahmud thought about the condition of his family that has not been given offspring at the age of his marriage which stepped on 6 years running. Mahmud imagined, if the Goddess could give offspring...

But hurriedly Mahmud dismissed his wishful thoughts, then stepped into the kitchen to meet his wife and sister-in-law.

“Wi, Rin.. I say goodbye to going to the garden yes,” Mahmud said to Dewi and Arin who were busy in the kitchen.

“Iya mas, be careful..” sahut Dewi and Arin.

In the dimness of that morning, Mahmud set foot leaving the house to his chili garden after previously saying goodbye to Dewi and Arin.

On Mahmud's left shoulder hung a hoe, in his left hand carrying a kettle complete with a glass placed on the muzzle of the kettle. While in his right hand carrying a sword to clean the weeds.

A breeze of cool sepoy directly hit his sturdy body when walking in the yard.

About 10 meters Mahmud walked away from the house, suddenly the wind that was initially sepoy-sepoy suddenly turned fierce to hit Mahmud's body from the front.

The wind that hit Mahmud's body then turned vertically swirling. Mahmud saw it from the dry leaves that were flying in circles before him.

Mahmud gasped for a moment, he was stunned to stop his steps. Both of his eyes just stared at the dry leaves that were flying around and round forming the letter ‘O’ with a gaping mouth.

Over time the wind that rotates to form a circle seems to be getting louder spinning. Mahmud was pushed back a little, his clothes fluttering by the wind.

“Astagfirullahal ‘azim!” pekik Mahmud spontaneous.

Not yet out of his shock, Mahmud suddenly felt the wind currents swirling like pulling it hard.

By reflex Mahmud released a hoe hanging on his shoulder and threw a sword and kettles in both hands.

Without a second thought, Mahmud dropped his body so as not to be sucked in by the whirlwind. Both hands fumbled the ground looking for a grip, but nothing could be held.

The whirlwind pulled Mahmud's body. Mahmud felt like his body was being violently vacuumed forcing him into the vortex.

Mahmud's fingers were thrust into the ground strongly, but still his body moved towards the whirlwind. Mahmud turned his body as both hands reached for the ground to resist the whirlwind.

But his efforts seemed to be in vain, his body continued to move dragged towards the wind vortex.

In desperation, Mahmud just resigned and shouted loudly; “Allahu akbar!”

Simultaneously with the scream, Mahmud's body hurtled into the whirlwind.

Blass...!

After Mahmud's body entered the vortex of wind, immediately Mahmud's body disappeared along with the disappearance of the whirlwind anyway.

Elsewhere, somewhere else,

Abah Dul stood stunned staring at his surroundings. His forehead was furrowing deeply filled with question marks looking at a scene that was very unfamiliar to him.

Abah Dul looked up at the sky. His face grew increasingly astonished to find the sky in the distance that looked dim. The sky was bright, but there was no sunlight.

The next second, Abah Dul immediately lowered his head looking at his feet on his feet.

“Subhanallah.!” pekik Abah Dul was shocked.

Abah Dul's eyes were wide-eyed to see under his footrest instead of the ground. His body was instantly shaken because he was afraid of falling, because the footrest was not the ground but his feet only rested on a cloud.

“What is this place?! What nature is this?!” abah Dul sat in his place.

When dropping his body, Abah Dul's face was suddenly stunned to realize it was just a cloud. He felt his body would fall through the clouds.

Abah Dul just resigned because it had already thrown his body. His eyes closed tightly, his feelings waiting for what would happen.

But a second later Abah Dul was astonished, he fumbled his body and turned to fumbling under his seat.

Abah Dul was amazed that he did not fall when his massage was only the support of the clouds.

While Abah Dul was still confused by his condition, there was suddenly the voice of a middle-aged man.

“Assalamualaikum warohmatullahi wabarokatuh.”.

The figure of the middle-aged man sounded very authoritative and heart-stirring yet very soothing in the ears.

“Wa’ wa, wa’ alaikum greetings warohmatullahi wabarokatuh..” replied Abah Dul stammered.

Abah Dul slowly loosened his head in search of the source of the sound coming from the front. At first he only saw a black cloth fluttering over a white cloud.

Full of curiosity as well as with his chest pounding, Abah Dul continued his gaze upwards looking at the black-clad figure in front of him.

The longer he watched the black cloth, the clearer Abah Dul's vision was that it was a flickering cloth of cloak clothes.

Abah Dul was increasingly curious, while holding back the rumbling pounding on his chest he ventured to raise his head even higher to see the appearance of the black-robed figure before him.

For a moment Abah Dul narrowed his eyes while his gaze was directed at the part of the face of the black-robed figure in front of him.

At first the face was not so clearly visible because it was covered by a white light that emanated. But after Abah Dul looked more carefully by putting his palms on his eyes, then he could see it even though it was still in the faint.

The figure appears to be wearing a cloth covering his head like a head covering cloth typical of national hero Pangeran Diponegoro, but the difference in color is black in harmony with the color of his robe.

The black cloth covers the entire head so that only the face is visible and looks to give off a dazzling light.

Abah Dul further narrowed his eyes without changing the position of his palm above his head to be able to see the face of the black-robed figure. But still the face of the figure can not be seen clearly.

Abah Dul was still sitting but did not try to get up. He felt that the black-robed figure before him was currently a holy figure and had a higher caste than himself.

"I know what a natural ananda is." said the black-robed figure.

Abah Dul was stunned in place, his eyes unblinkingly looking at the black-robed figure. His tongue seemed too faint just to answer "yes".

"Now sit cross-legged, set your breath until Nanda is calm. Then close your eyes." said the figure again.

Abah Dul was still speechless, he just obeyed what the black-robed figure commanded.

Several times Abah Dul did breathing. Inhaled by deep air, then in the seat for a moment in his chest. Then he slowly took out the land.

Abah Dul did that many times until he really felt calm. Then Abah Dul nodded his head in lieu of his words, telling the black-robed figure that he was calm.
