Chapter 104's

"Have you heard?" asked a man with a black kimono to his friend.

"Sound what?" asked his friend again in confusion.

"The western land youkai's kisaki is pregnant." The man in black said quickly.

"containing? Means her son is hanyou, right? I heard kisaki youkai is a man's western land." Reply to his friend quickly.

"Yes, hanyou," the man in black kimono replied and nodded his head. His face then turned very serious. "And you know what that means?"

"You mean?" ask a confused friend. But, the expression on the face of the man in black kimono made him feel worried.

"That means, she must be willing to give birth to her half-youkai half-human son to master the youkai and humans together–hakannya threat to us humans."

Inuyasha did not say anything as he saw Sesshoumaru walking past him and left his room and Rin. The Huanyou was wasting face regardless of the cold nature as well as the terrifying aura that the ruler of the western land emitted. Lowering his gaze down, he then tried to calm Shiro, Mamoru, Aya and Maya who were hiding behind him in fear because of his half-brother.

Rin did not say anything seeing Sesshoumaru walking away. A small smile filled his face. Until now, the inuyoukai still did not allow her to give birth to their child. But, at least, the inuyoukai did not force him to drink the potion to abort their child again.

Therefore, the condition between them now, Rin had already shaved it off. Sesshoumaru still accompanied him every day, although he was always silent, even though his face was still full of chaos. For his choice–Rin can not do anything.

Rin then turned his head to look at the children. "Shiro-chan, Mamoru-chan, Aya-chan and Maya-chan," she called out quietly with a smile. "Come here.."

The children immediately ran away leaving Inuyasha towards Rin who was sitting on the futon. The beautiful and gentle smile of the western earth's kisaki immediately made them forget the fear of Sesshoumaru who had left the room.

"Rin-chan!!"

"Lin-chan!!"

"Mother-in-law!!"

The sound of the children's calls immediately filled the room, making the Kagome who was at the side sigh and shake her head. "Don't run and don't make a fuss."

Aya and Maya immediately stopped running hearing Kagome's words. Silently silent, they immediately nodded their heads. However, not for Shiro and Mamoru, the two of them still ran to Rin's side.

Shiro's eyes looked at Rin's enlarged stomach. She was actually looking forward to the baby of her beloved aunt, moreover, everyone told her that the baby would be the same as her; an inuanyou.

Frightened, Shiro then raised his small hand to touch Rin's stomach. A smile filled her face as she managed to touch that belly, turning to Rin who was laughing with her behavior, the little inuhanyou asked quietly. "When was the baby's sister born?"

"It's still about five months, Shiro," Mamoru replied as he looked seriously at Shiro. "She's Mamoru–'s future wifeyou can't take her from me, okay?"

"Dad told you, baby Rin-chan is a boy," Aya cut off with a grinning smile at Mamoru. "She won't be your wife."

"No!" push Mamoru hard. He looked back at Aya full of annoyance. "Female. That baby is Mamoru's future wife."

"Dad is never wrong" Maya said with a laugh. "So she's not your wife! Your wife somewhere else, just look for yourself when you grow up."

"Already, don't fight," Kagome's relay looked at the children's behavior. Two days have passed since Miroku and Sango left the western land palace and handed over the supervision of their three children to Inuyasha and himself. Slowly, the black eyes of the future miko were then directed at the inuhanyou who was sitting with his hands folded on the chest not far from them. "Inuyasha, it's your job to look after the kids, right? Say something."

"Cih," clucked in dislike, Inuyasha threw away his face. "That's not my job."

Rin laughed with her weak voice. "It's okay, Kagome-sama. Rin likes the noise. The mood is alive."

Kagome sighed and said nothing more. Sitting still he can only stare at Rin who is laughing and joking with Shiro, Mamoru, Aya and Maya.

Today, Kagome comes and asks Sesshoumaru out so that Rin can interact with the children. This pregnant woman needs to change the surrounding atmosphere for a while. The existence of an inuyoukai that continued to emit a frightening aura beside him, was definitely not something good for the health of this weak human woman.

Sesshoumaru did not reject Kagome's request. Immediately, he exited the room after making sure Rin was okay. The future Miko knew, for now, that inuyoukai was willing to do anything for the good of the woman she loved.

Kagome's gaze then falls on Rin's stomach. Her gestational age was only two months, but her stomach looked like five months. Then, no matter how he, Jinenji and Inukimi checked, the child in the womb was undetectable, as if he had disappeared.

Slowly Kagome's eyes rose and directed at the red stone on Rin's chest that was beating quietly. In fact, both himself and everyone have the idea that the state of the child in the womb is now the act of meido seki. But, they also did not dare to carelessly find their opinions.

All of them can only be grateful, Rin's state does not deteriorate even though meido seki shows his strength. Grateful though they also do not know what the future will be like, because Rin's pregnancy is an unpredictable pregnancy.

Inuyasha who was silent, slowly, he then set his eyes on Rin who was laughing with the children. To him, since Shiro's birthday, the human woman was one of the people important to him– his family; someone who was like his little sister. Therefore, Rin's situation is really very worried about him.

Her pregnancy is now, Inuyasha knows, no one supports her. Rin is alone now, with no one on her side, not for friends, family, and even; her husband. Everything that exists until now is still trying to ask Rin to abort the child in his womb. However, he remained on the stance of giving birth to it. His determination, his courage–Inuyasha asked inwardly, is the woman not afraid?

Not to mention, rumors were circulating in the human world. Kohaku had explained everything in full, and Inuyasha really did not understand why the rumors could exist. The union between youkai and man, a daiyoukai and a human woman–is that an unwinnable union?

Sesshoumaru and Rin, a daiyoukai and human woman–Inuyasha, inevitably think of both parents; Inu No Taisho and Izayoi.

Inuyasha never knew the story of his parents. He only knew his mother loved his father, and his father died protecting his mother as well as his newborn self. Was the state of the mother who conceived her back then like this? Humiliated, reviled and demeaned by men because their son is a hanyou?

Looking at Rin now, Inuyasha can always see the shadow of his mother. Mother who always looked lovingly at and hugged him despite being insulted by their relatives–his tender mother. Did he ever regret the choice he made?

Then, his father–does he know his mother's condition? If only his father knew what his mother would go through after he was gone, would his father still dare to be with his mother? Would they think of giving birth to her?

Inuyasha knows, the story of Sesshoumaru and Rin is indeed different from the story of Inu No Taisho and Izayoi, but their story is both the story of a daiyoukai ruler of the western land and an ordinary woman their–anak. Is the child going to experience everything that he or she is going through? Suffering of a hanyou, only you are the most understanding. Rejection, isolation, humiliation and–loneliness.

As Hanyou, Inuyasha is aware, he is a very lucky hanyou, as he meets; kagome. The human woman who accepts herself as she is, never rejects or alienates her, always appreciates and is with her.

But for Sesshoumaru and Rin's son, will there be a second Kagome? Will the child find someone who is like Kagome and accept her for who she is?–will the child be happy in her future? Maybe indeed, for a better future–that child was never born..

"Rin." call Inuyasha then. His voice was slow, his golden eyes staring straight at the human woman who immediately turned her head to look at him.

"What's up, Inuyasha-sama?" ask Rin slowly. A gentle smile spread across his face.

"Why?" ask Inuyasha slowly. The smile on Rin's face right now, how that gentle smile reminded her of her mother who was gone. "Why did you give birth to her?"

"Brava!!" cut Kagome in a panic with Inuyasha's sudden question. The birth of her child is now the most sensitive issue to discuss. What if Rin panics again?

But Inuyasha didn't care. He continued his words. His golden eyes shone full of sadness, his voice rising. "Maybe that child and you would be happier if you had never been born!!"

Kagome fell silent, as did Shiro, Mamoru, Aya and Maya who laughed. They all turned their faces at Inuyasha who looked very sad.

"M-maybe if it could choose, the child would prefer not to be born..."

Rin did not reply to Inuyasha's words. Stunned, he simply stared at inuhanyou in silence. But, a moment later, he smiled.

Why did you give birth to her? The child and himself may be happier if the child is not born. If he could choose, maybe his son would prefer not to be born–inquiry and Inuyasha's speech, Rin understood.

Opening the blanket that covered his legs, Rin then stood up, surprising Kagome and Inuyasha together.

"Rin-chan!!" call Kagome surprised. Both of his hands immediately moved to help the still extremely weak human woman. However, Rin's hand stopped him. With a face that was still smiling, he shook his head.

Slowly, in the gazes of everything in the room, Rin then walked up to the bewildered Inuyasha. Sitting in front of that innuanyou, his clear brown eyes stared at the gentle Inuyasha. "Because you are happy, Inuyasha-sama.."

"Eh?" Inuyasha was stunned to hear Rin's reply.

Rin knew, Inuyasha's question was not directed at him, nor was it his son's choice–that question, that choice, was directed at Izayoi and himself.

The story of Inu No Taisho and Izayoi is a very famous story in the west. He who grew up in the palace of the western lands often heard that beautiful and sad love story. The love of a daiyoukai ruler and a human princess that ends tragically.

In the past, when he first heard the story, he also felt it was a sad story. But, when he realized the presence of his son and Sesshoumaru in the stomach, when he saw Inuyasha–he knew, the story was not a sad story.

Their story that is said to be sad by all is the beginning story of the boundless happiness of a named inuhanyou; Inuyasha, their beloved son.

When you become a mother, when you become a parent, you will know, there is nothing more important in this world than your child. For the happiness of your child, all the suffering and pain you go through, it will be sweet when you see his smile.

Raising her hand, Rin then hugged Inuyasha, burying her face on her chest. "Rin is not Izayoi-sama, but Rin understands him. He loves you very much, Inuyasha-sama."

Rin's embrace and gentle speech made Inuyasha unable to move.

"Izayoi-sama is happy with her choice, Inuyasha-sama," Rin continued softly. "Seeing his only son was happy, he was also happy. With Kagome-sama and Shiro, are you happy, Inuyasha-sama?"

Inuyasha's tears flowed down without realizing it as he felt the warmth of Rin's embrace, as well as her gentle speech. Closing his eyes, he was silent. This hug, he knew despite years gone by–hugs his mother.

Her mother's loving face, her gentle voice and laughter, her peaceful embrace her sincere love.

Slowly, Inuyasha raised his hand back to Rin's embrace. His heart was very sick, yet at the same time; happy. Why did he almost forget about it? In this world, there are people who always love him. The one who will always pray and hope for his happiness, is willing to suffer for his happiness.

Laughing, Rin let Inuyasha hold her tightly in her slow sobs. "Don't worry, Inuyasha-sama," he muttered softly and patted the back of the inuhanyou slowly. "Rin's son will also be happy as you are happy. Rin's choice was the right choice..."

Kagome stood motionless looking at Rin and Inuyasha, but, she understood now. Question Inuyasha–he sees the shadow of his mother and himself on Rin.

"I-mom, what's wrong? Dad why?" shiro asked puzzledly while pulling the edge of Kagome's shirt.

Kagome smiled and then hugged Shiro. "Dad's okay, he just remembered your grandmother..."

Shiro still did not understand, but he did not ask again. Slowly, Kagome's gaze fell on Sango and Miroku's children who were also silent in confusion.

Child anak.

Rin was right, a mother would be happy if their child was happy. The happiness of a child is what is most important to a mother–the wishes and prayers of a woman called 'Mother'.

Removing her tears, Inuyasha then let go of her embrace. Staring at the gently smiling Rin, she felt the woman in front of her was truly extraordinary. Under these circumstances, he could still comfort others. She did not change, and smiled peacefully–the smile of a strong mother.

"Rin," call Inuyasha again. "Are you not afraid?"

Inuyasha's question made Rin stunned. Scared?–was he scared? This question, there is only one answer. Slowly stroking his stomach, Rin smiled which then turned into a gentle laugh. "Rin can't be afraid."

In her present state, Rin knew, she had to throw away her fear. For his son–he is not allowed to be afraid.

Inuyasha is a person who is insensitive to anything. But not this time. Rin's answer, he understood, because he was also a parent; a father.

Standing up, Inuyasha then smiled and laughed. "I understand Rin."

Rin's decision, Rin's choice, his bet–what should be done and what shouldn't be? Inuyasha knows now. For Rin to be so precious, she has to do what she should.

Reversing her body, Inuyasha then opened the door of the room and ran away from the room, not caring about Kagome who was panicking and shouting calling her name.

Sesshounaru wants to get back to Rin soon, wanting to be next to the human women as well as their–anak. He always wanted to make sure they were okay.

Love will make you weak and perish; love is weakness.

Sesshoumaru closed his golden eyes. Now, how much has he weakened? The word was indeed true, her love for Rin and their child had really weakened her. He had fallen from the top to the bottom of the deepest–fall without knowing again how to crawl up.

The sound of loud footsteps suddenly caught Sesshoumaru's ears. The sound of footsteps headed for his study, and he also knew who it was from the aura he felt.

"Shoumaru!!!" a loud Inuyasha screaming voice suddenly rang out, along with the sound of shoji doors opening.

Opening his eyes, Sesshoumaru turned his head around staring at Inuyasha who was standing looking at him full of anger. His gaze instantly turned very sharp as he smelled the very strong smell of Rin from the body of the innuanyou. Why does Rin smell stick to that hanyou?

However, Sesshoumaru had not had time to say anything, Inuyasha suddenly ran over to him. Raising his hand, he punched the face of his half-brother very strongly.

Inuyasha's sudden attack makes Sesshoumaru fall on the tatami floor. Anger instantly filled his heart, but he had not had time to do anything, the inuhanyou had sat on top of his body and punched him back in the face.

"Shoppers!! Fuck you!!" inuyasha shouted with anger.

The Sesshoumaru that Inuyasha kept punching then caught the fist of the inuanyou. His golden eyes had turned red, both ends of his lips raised revealing a grin of anger.

Inuyasha did not care about Sesshounaru's anger. Moving his head strongly, he hit the inuyoukai's head.

Inuyasha's unexpected attack made Sesshoumaru's hand that held the inuanyou's hand loose. In his confusion, suddenly, his half-brother clutched tightly the collar of the kimono he was wearing.

"You know!! Everyone can ask Rin to abort your child!!! But, you're the only one who can't, asshole!!!!"

Inuyasha's shout instantly made Sesshoumaru stunned. His blood-red eyes turned golden again.

"Rin's decision, his wish, the danger he wants to go through for your son–you should have respected him!!!!"

Anger again filled Sesshoumaru's heart. Staring at Inuyasha, he shouted loudly. "How does this Sesshoumaru respect his decision?? What should this Sesshoumaru do if it loses Rin? Rin can't be turned on again!!"

"You're scared, aren't you?" muttered Inuyasha quietly. He stared at Sesshoumaru with their identical eyes. "What about Rin? Do you think he's not afraid of his decision?"

Sesshoumaru fell silent, again stunned by Inuyasha's question.

"You let him go through all this fear alone? Is that true? What husband are you?"

Rin who always smiles, Rin who always laughs, Rin who is strong and always optimistic, Rin who believes himself and his son will survive–is he not afraid?

No, behind all that, behind his smile of laughter and optimism, behind his strength and his trustworthiness, maybe he is actually the one who is most afraid.

But, for his son, he forced himself to strong–to smile and laugh as if everything was fine in front of everyone who was against his decision. She is only fifteen years old, but, she has to face this reality alone - why Rin is actually scared, but no one realizes it.

"You won't be able to change his decision, but, you can accompany him, can you? Give him strength and support–don't let him be scared alone."

All of Inuyasha's words deeply pierced Sesshoumaru's heart, yet also awakened him. Rin, Rinya–she never thought about her fear, she never thought about what the woman felt like, because–she had been caught up in her own fear.

He was always by her side and found her, making sure the human woman was okay. But, silent to him, the desire to abort their never-changing son–Sesshoumaru first came to his senses; what he had done to Rin.

"You will soon become a father, Sesshoumaru, "Inuyasha continued. He did not let go of the clutches of the collar of Sesshoumaru's kimono in the slightest. "Your situation right now, you need to be stronger than Rin.."

Sesshoumaru's feelings, Inuyasha actually understood. Fearful of losing his wife and child, he once felt it when the situation of Kagome containing Shiro became heavy. Therefore he knew, as a husband, it was the time he had to be stronger.

"I made it through, and you who are stronger than me, you who are my half-brother, will also be able to get through this..."

Sesshoumaru's eyes widened at Inuyasha's words. Can you get through all this?

Rin's face called out her name with a sweet smile.

Do you think our son is a boy or a girl, Sesshoumaru-sama?

Rin gently stroked his queen's stomach with a smile of affection.

S-sesshoumaru-sama, Rin begs you, let Rin give birth to our child.

Rin's teary-eyed face and kneeling begged him.

Sesshoumaru-sama, we are fine, don't worry...

The hand that stroked her cheek was soft and a smile that kept trying to calm her down.

Sesshoumaru really realized, what had he done? Letting the only woman he loves through this all by herself, what husband is she? How does he deserve the human woman's sincere love?

Inuyasha could see, there was a glimmer of emotion in Sesshoumaru's golden eyes. Releasing the grip of his hand, he then stood up and moved beside that inuyoukai. "Go, Rin needs you, brother.."

His foolish half-brother, his more insensitive half-brother, their similar fears; they were indeed the children of the same father.

Sesshoumaru got up to his feet, he did not look at Inuyasha one bit more. Moving all her strength, she ran towards her room and Rin. It did not matter the slightest existence of Kagome who did not know since when it was outside the open door of her study.

Silence after Sesshoumaru's departure, Kagome then stepped inside the workroom of the western earthen palace and smiled. "You're being wise, Inuyasha."

"Curtainly," said Inuyasha. He looked at Kagome not caring. "Where are the kids?"

"I asked them to go back to the room first" Kagome replied and moved to hug Inuyasha. "And you're right, Rin and Big Brother can definitely get through this like us..."

Inuyasha's words just now, made him aware. Rin's decision, they should have respected her and supported her–they shouldn't have made the decision for Rin and her son.

Laughing, Kagome tightened her embrace. Ironic once, it turns out that who can see the current situation calmly and correctly is–Inuyasha

Inuyasha did not reply to Kagome's words anymore. But, he returned the embrace of his wife equally tightly. His gaze was then directed at the open door. There was a strange but warm feeling that filled his heart. Run–come back to Rin, Sesshoumaru.

Like their families who are fine, the Sesshoumaru family will also definitely be fine.

Rin stroked her stomach slowly, there was worry and uneasiness she felt. He did not understand why Inuaysha had suddenly run out of this room earlier, and he could only resign as Kagome and the children then went out to check things out.

Did he make a mistake? But, Inuyasha's face did not look angry at all–Rin was really confused by what happened. However, the sound of the door opening loudly suddenly shocked him.

Looking at the door, Rin, who was sitting on the futon, found Sesshoumaru walking in. A sense of surprise filled his heart, upon seeing the wound on that inuyoukai face.

"Sesshoumaru-sama, what's wrong with your face?" ask Rin in panic. He immediately tried to get up. But, a pair of sturdy hands suddenly tightly hugged him.

"Sesshoumaru-sama.." call Rin confused.

Sesshoumaru buried his face in Rin's neck. "Rin." call him slow. "Sesshoumaru is there for you.."

"Eh?" rin is getting confused.

"Don't bear it all alone anymore," closing his eyes, Sesshoumaru tightened his embrace. "Your pain, your fear, let Sesshoumaru bear it with you.."

Spousal.

Sesshoumaru is conscious now. That bond isn't just me loving you and you loving me. In the course of a married couple, disagreements and disagreements are bound to exist, and that is when, the bond that is established will be tested. Whether you can get through it together or you will get caught up in each other's egos.

Inuyasha's right, what husband is he? He is caught up in his fear, in his ego to lead. Sesshoumaru on the day he married Rin, he said the woman was his kisaki, someone on par with him. But, he did not want to listen and understand his choice. She leaves Rin alone against the world, against everyone including herself because she wants to give birth to their child.

Sadness and fear, Sesshoumaru lets Rin face it alone. Rin's choice, though very painful, she should have understood, respected, supported and encouraged me because Rin was his wife.

"This Jesshoumaru believes in you, give birth to our child and live..."

Rin's eyes widened to hear what Sesshoumaru said. That inuyoukai remark was barely even Rin's trust. His body trembled, a sense of tightness filled his heart, and– tears flowed down his face.

Sad and scared–won it together.

Those words, how much that word meant to him. His sorrow and fear that he did not dare to show, Sesshoumaru was willing to endure it together?

then–believe, be born and live.

Rin could not hold back everything in her heart anymore, she cried loudly.

"Yes, yes, yes, yes" Rin repeated in her tears. With trembling hands he returned Sesshoumaru's embrace. "Rin will give birth to her, our son will live!! Rin will live!!"

Her broken cry and her falling tears, it was like bringing out all the sadness and fear in her heart.

Rin had no idea what really happened, but he knew, Sesshoumaru finally understood. He finally believed and allowed their child to be born–it was what he really needed most.

Sesshoumaru will accompany him. Rin knows, he is not alone anymore, for their son, for the future there–Sesshoumaru is finally willing to face it all along with himself.

"We will live!!"

Akiko smiled looking at Asano, her real father. Sitting in one of the rooms in the eastern earthen palace, the two father-son were playing chess go.

"Had you heard the rumors circulating in the human world?" ask Akiko slowly. His hand placed a white go chess piece on the go board.

"Hmm, good move. You can reverse your desperate situation" praised Asano, the ruler of the eastern lands with a smile. Taking the black pawn, he again changed the state of the chessboard that was not in his favor anymore. A smile spread across his face. "What rumor, I don't know?"

Akiko laughed at Asano's words. He put a white chess piece on the go board. "It's okay if you don't know, Daddy."

"Any rumor in the human world, it has nothing to do with us, the east," moved his hand, Asano thought for a moment before finally deciding what step he should take on the go board. "But, have you heard any rumors of a western kisaki pregnancy?"

Akiko's smile grew wider at her father's question. His blue eyes gleamed happily in a room that was only lit by an oil lamp.  "Of course, Daddy."

"Then go, go," Asano laughed happily. Both of his eyes were delighted. "Show Sesshoumaru that you're the only one who can give him a strong, pure-blood heir."
