Till The End Of Time [Inuyasha Fanfiction ]
Chapter 6's

"Come, Ah-Un, fly higher." Shura's orders while staring at the human village below him from above a two-headed dragon that was flying in the blue sky. His golden eyes could see the humans of the villagers who were screaming in fear and hiding. What a foolish and cowardly creature, why should they shout and hide when they see it? There was not the slightest intention in him to serve beings like them.

Ah-Un, the two-headed dragon that Shura was riding on immediately obeyed the orders of his young master and flew higher up through the clouds, missing from the sight of the humans.

The trip to the western palace was quite far away, and Shura took about a week to reach it. This western land heir was quite grateful when he learned that his companion to the southern land palace was Ah-Un. He would be greatly tormented if the one who followed him was Jaken, the cowardly, chatty and useless frog youkai who always followed his father. He actually often wondered inwardly, why could his father bear it and let Jaken by his side? The question was probably a question that no one could answer except his own father.

Letting an heir who was only eight years old towards the southern lands accompanied only by a dragon, was actually something unreasonable. The chances that his father's enemies would kidnap or kill him were high. But that's what happened, a reality that can't be lied to.

Shura could understand him, because for his Father and Mother, he must not be something valuable and meaningful. In fact, when the western land heir left the western land palace, neither did his parents escort him, only the nannies and servants escorted him.

Youkai are the most superior creatures in the world. There's no point feeling. Feelings will only make you weak. Feelings will only make you disappear. Youkai are creatures that can live alone.

The words he always heard were re-energized in Shura's head, and he slowly closed his two golden eyes. Yep. He is a youkai, he doesn't have to think about it all. He would not expect affection from his parents, it would only make him weak. She is a strong youkai despite being very small—she can live alone.

When the blue sky had been replaced by the black sky, when the sun had been replaced by the moon and stars, Shura's eyes caught the figure of the southern land palace located at the top of a high mountain. The palace was surrounded by huge trees hundreds of years old and hidden from human eyes. The size is quite large, but still smaller than the western land palace where he lived all this time.

With her flexible and nimble movements, Ah-Un flew down towards the southern earthen palace grounds. The guards who saw the two-headed dragon flying over just stood still, as they had all heard that the heir to the western lands would stay where they were for a while.

Shura immediately jumped down from Ah-Un's back as the dragon had landed successfully within the garden of the southern land palace. The bodyguards directly bowed their heads to him to salute him. However, the heir of the western land did not care about it, his golden eyes looked straight at Akihiko-sama, the ruler of the southern land that was in front of him with an expressionless face.

Akihiko is a wolf youkai. In his human form, he had bluish-white hair cut short, eyes as color with blue sky, a pointed nose, pointed ears and two dark blue lines on his cheeks. Overall, he's very handsome. However, just one look, all there will know, he is a dangerous youkai and should be avoided like his father, Sesshoumaru, the ruler of the western lands.

"Welcome to my little palace, Shura." Akihiko said softly in a lazy tone. He did not move in the slightest from a leisurely chair where he lay. However, his two sky blue eyes stared fixedly at the heir of the western land from top to bottom.

Shura did not return Akihiko's greeting, she simply nodded her head. This was their first meeting, but the heirs of the western lands did not show the slightest courtesy.

Seeing Shura's attitude, a smile flashed across Akihiko's face. "You do look like that dog, you don't look like your mother at all."

"Of course," Shura replied with her flat tone, and made Akihiko look at her in confusion. "While the woman was the daughter of the ruler of the eastern lands and also the woman who gave birth to me, I am grateful not to resemble her." Shura again.

Shura did not reply to Akihiko's words, she just silently looked at him with a face that remained expressionless, letting the ruler of the southern land laugh as much. After a few minutes, the ruler of the southern land finally stopped laughing. "You're tired, right? Rest, your room is ready." He said softly as he flicked his finger calling the maid to show the location of the room Shura had prepared for her.

A servant directly approached the western land heir respectfully to escort him to the prepared room. Not asking anything more, Shura immediately turned her back to follow the maid. However, he could clearly feel that both of the sky blue eyes of the southern land lord continued to stare at him who were walking away.

When he arrived at his new room, Shura could see the room was not much different from his room in the western palace. Spacious, clean tatami floors, beautiful paintings on the walls, and luxurious beautiful furniture.

The heiress of the western land immediately ordered the servants who were there to leave her alone as she set foot into her new room. He wanted to be alone and not be bothered by anyone right now.

The servants asked nothing. Respectfully, they immediately left the western land heir alone. With a slow step, Shura walked up to the futon that had been prepared and threw down the body on it. His eyes closed and he breathed. This was his room now, he had to familiarize himself with this new palace, as he still did not know when he could just return to the western land palace.

As Shura opened her golden eyes again, her right hand moved to the chest of the haori she was wearing and took out a pink cloth from inside —an obi.

Obi belongs to the human girl in the painting.

Obi was taken secretly from the room the morning before he left for the southern palace. Shura only hoped that anyone who always came to clean the room would never realize the disappearance of the obi. He had removed the smell left in the room, so he was quite sure, no one would ever find out that he had ever set foot there.

Shura actually did not know why he could do something like this, taking the obi. The moment he had to leave the room, his legs felt extremely heavy, as well as his heart. He did not want to leave the western land palace, leaving behind the painting more precisely. However, he had no choice. And in his deepest heart, he felt fear. Afraid of what he found, what he saw in the eastern pavilion of the western land palace would disappear. Afraid of the girl's spring smile she saw was just a dream, something unreal —an illusion.

Even though he knew it was wrong, knowing it was a foolish act, the heir to the western land could not stop his intention to take the obi, because, for him now, it was not, obi is the only proof he can hold that what he sees is reality, not an illusion.

Shura then brought the obi closer to her nose, kissing her. There's no smell. No matter how he tried to smell her, he still could not find the slightest smell of the girl. There was no pleasant smell like the one he had kissed in the first night's dream he found the painting. However, he doesn't care. For the heir of the western land, the obi did not have the smell that he kissed in a dream, but, the obi always felt warm in his hand. Holding the obi, keeping it behind her hair, she could feel a warmth enveloping her.

Slowly, Shura closed her golden eyes while clutching the obi on her chest tightly. He felt very comfortable and also sleepy. Warmth enveloped him. A peaceful smile was painted on his handsome face. This was the girl's obi, the warmth she felt was the warmth of the girl.
