Chapter 52's

"Koga-sama, welcome! You're going to war this time?" the laughter of a youkai bear looked at the wolf youkai in front of him.

Koga, a wolf youkai with blue eyes and black hair tied in a ponytail, laughed back at the youkai question in front of him. "Yes, I'll come along, so, this." glancing back, he pulled the rope in his hand.

Youkai the bear looked towards the rope that Koga pulled, a satisfied smile adorning his face. Three humans, a hanyou and a youkai tied to his hands, walked in rows following Koga. Their faces dropped down. No one could clearly see their appearance because the robe with the black veil covered the entire head as well as the body.

"It's a gift from me to Akihiko-sama," Koga smiled. "She would definitely love it. They are humans, hanyou and youkai from the west. Their blood could be our war opener."

Youkai the bear laughed loudly at Koga's reply. Not asking much more, he let them into the forest beside the southern earthen palace.

Walking in, once safe from the sight of all the youkai, Koga opened one of the ropes that tied the two human hands together. "It's safe for Kagome." she smiled as she opened the black veil of the future miko.

"Thank you, Koga." Kagome replied with a smile.

"Get away from my wife, you son of a bitch!!" inuyasha shouted beside Kagome. With his own strength, he pulled apart the rope that tied his hands together. His sharp nails immediately aimed at the wolf youkai; attacked.

Koga jumped back, but Inuyasha didn't care. Opening the black robe he was wearing, he chased.

"Haiss," Kagome sighed at Inuyasha and Koga. Reversing his body, he opened the rope that bound Miroku, Sango and Kenji. "Why don't they ever change?"

Miroku and Sango did not say anything, they just laughed in concern. However, Kenji laughed happily. "At least our journey has become faster."

Kagome, Miroku and Sango smile at Kenji's words. Inevitably they really had to thank Koga for this.

"What?? You are a distant relative of Akihiko, the lord of the southern lands??!"

Koga nodded his head. "Don't you know that Akihiko is a wolf youkai?"

Inuyasha, Kagome, Miroku and Sango were silent. However, then Miroku laughed, "At least now that I know, the south is smarter at naming his son than the west."

"What do you mean, Miroku?" inuyasha asked confusedly. Kagome, Sango and Kenji also looked at the monk with the same confusion.

"The name Koga which means steel fangs and Akhiko which means prince cermelang, is much more normal than the name Inuyasha which means demon dog and Sesshoumaru which means destroyer of life." Clearly Miroku while laughing.

Kagome and Sango were stunned to hear Miroku's explanation. Inevitably, they had to admit what the monk had said, even more so Kagome. The future Miko thought, it was fortunate that Inuyasha asked Rin to name their son. She could not imagine the name her husband gave her.

"What's wrong with our names??" hardik Inuyasha then, turning his head back to Koga, he finished off Tessaiga. "So you came here to kill us, right?"

"What do you mean?" ask Koga confused.

"You're here because you want to join the south, attack the west, right?" inuyasha asked again, not caring about Koga's question.

"Huh?? You mean what's a mutt??" pasak Koga is getting confused.

Swinging the Tessaiga, Inuyasha leapt upwards attacking the wolf youkai. "No need to explain I also already know—"

"Osuvari." Kagome's words stopped Inuyasha.

The lordship fell to the ground due to the pressure of gravity. Looking furiously at Kagome she protested loudly. "What are you, Kagome?? You want to protect this wolf??!!"

"Osuwari," said Kagome again not caring about Inuyasha who again shouted in pain. Looking over at Koga, she smiled again. "Why are you here, Koga?"

Koga smiled at Kagome, despite having a wife, Miko in front of him was the woman he liked first. "You yourself? Why is it here?"

Kagome silently silently listened to Koga's question. The wolf youkai said he was a distant relative of the southern land lord, most likely, he was indeed here to help Akihiko.

"Are you here to help Akihiko from the south, Koga?" interrupted Miroku suddenly, he smiled, but vigilance was clearly on his face.

Sango and Kenji did not say anything, but slowly, they held their respective weapons, anticipating Koga's every move.

Koga could clearly feel their vigilance, and also, he could also guess what was on their minds. Sighing, he smiled a little. "I didn't come to help Akihiko."

"So?" ask Miroku again.

"I want to ask Akihiko to stop this war," Koga continued quietly. "I and my clan belong to the youkai clan from the south. This war, inevitably, we will get involved in it. And I can't let Ayame who's pregnant with our child be in danger."

"Ayama-san is pregnant?" ask Kagome happily. "Happy Koga, you'll be a father soon."

Koga laughed happily at Kagome's words. Scratching his head that was not itchy, he felt happy that the word 'Father' would be on him soon.

"Are you sure you can stop him?" asked Kenji who had been silent all of a sudden. From now on, he had been observing Koga, and from the story he heard, indeed the wolf youkai in front of him was a relative of Akihiko, but their relationship was also not a very close relationship.

Koga's smile disappears hearing Kenji's question. To be honest she knew, she would not be able to stop Akihiko, but for the sake of Ayame and her son, she wanted to try. What's more, Akihiko and Sesshomaru? The two daiyoukai were strong, extremely strong. However, Sesshoumaru possessed the Tenseiga, the sword of life. To be honest in this war, the west was superior.

"That means you're just as useless!" yell inuyasha happy. Standing up he put on a contemptuous face, however, Kagome again muttered softly, "Osuwari."

"Kagome!!" yelled Inuyasha who was back pressed down.

Kagome, Miroku, Sango even Kenji doesn't care about that innuanyou at all.

Kenji thought for a moment, an idea flashed inside his head. Their goal with Koga was more or less the same, it seemed like they could work together. "I think we can help each other" she smiled.

That was the reason they were able to reach the forest beside the southern land palace so quickly. Koga who was willing to help them play the show as prisoners clearly helped them through the southern youkai-youkai without a fight. However, that doesn't mean that their goal of saving Rin has been achieved, and it's only just begun.

"Now we just have to find the existence and save Rin-chan." Smile Miroku then. Although they did not have a good plan, he was quite optimistic what their goal would be.

Akihiko looked straight at Kurokiba who was in front of him. Sitting on his throne chair, he said nothing, even his face looked bored.

"Me and my clan will join the south in this war" Kurokiba said. He is a giant black spider youkai. His human form was a black-haired middle-aged man.

Akihiko said nothing. He was not really interested in Korukiba's statement. However, not with Tsubasa as well as Akihiko's subordinates who were also in the room, even though they were all silent, a smile full of satisfaction adorned the face.

Kurokiba is the head of the black spider youkai that has been in neutral territory. The clan was not big, but it could not be said to be small, joining them to the south would obviously help the southern forces.

"But, Akihiko-sama, I have a condition." Kurokiba continued again with a smile.

Akihiko remained silent with an expression full of boredom, until what was the condition of Kurokiba heard. "I want Hime from the west. I've heard he's in your hands now. Give him to me, and I'll join the south."

An expression full of boredom disappeared from Akihiko's face. Smiling, he opened his mouth for the first time after meeting the spider youkai. "Why do you want it?"

Akihiko's smile made Kurokiba's smile widen, the shadow of the human girl known as the hime of the west appeared in his mind. His eyes turned lustful red, while licking his lips he laughed. "I want him to be my slave. I've seen it in the west, and I want to enjoy tu—"

What happened happened happened, happened very quickly. In one blink of an eye, the ruler of the southern land was beside Kurokiba with his hands piercing through the chest of the youkai; pulling out his heart.

"W-what.." Kurokiba could not finish his words, his eyes wide open staring not understanding the ruler of the southern land. The last one he saw was a pair of bloodthirsty red eyes filled with anger.

Kurokiba's body that had lost its life immediately collapsed onto the floor as Akihiko took out a hand from the body of the youkai he killed.

Akihiko's actions shocked everyone including Tsubasa. However, the ruler of the land of the seatan did not care, with eyes that were still red full of anger he ruled over his subordinates who were there. "Destroy the Kurokiba Clan, I don't want them breathing this world"

No matter what else, Akihiko shook her blood-filled hand and walked out of the room. His eyes were still blood-red, proof that he was angry, yet, no one understood the cause of the ruler's anger.

Tsubasa who was staring at Akihiko in silence, hid the unpleasant feeling that filled her heart now. The smiling face of a human girl flashed in his mind, without hesitation he stepped foot out of the room looking for the ruler of the southern land.

Stepping quickly, Tsubasa found Akihiko who was inside the hallway of the southern land palace. He knew the direction of this passageway was the path to the wolf youkai sword training ground, however, it was also where the human girl was now.

"Akihiko-sama." Call Tsubasa slowly.

Akihiko did not return Tsubasa's call, he kept walking as if he had not heard her beloved concubine.

"Akihiko-sama, why did you kill Kurokiba?" ask Tsubasa.

Akihiko remained unanswered, his feet steadily stepping.

"Is it because of that human girl??" Tsubasa could not stop his raging thoughts. Kurokiba who will join the south and only wants the human girl he kidnapped from the west, isn't that human girl finally useful?

Tsubasa's question makes Akihiko's footsteps stop.

"Do you also want that human girl?"

Akihiko remained unanswered, yet, a moment later, he stepped back.

Tsubasa did not know what else to say. Silently silent, she stared at the figure of Akihiko disappearing from her sight. The uneasy feeling that appeared in his heart grew bigger, he had known the ruler of that southern land long ago, and never had he seen it like this; wanting a human.

Akihiko continued walking, the anger in his heart did not disappear. He remembered what Kurokiba had said before dying in his hands, and he also remembered what Tsubasa had just asked; did you want that human girl?

The ruler of the southern land did not know why he killed Kurokiba. When he heard the youkai saying that he wanted the human girl from the west, anger suddenly filled his heart, making him dark in the eyes, and when he came to his senses, Kurokiba had died in his hands. Then, want that human girl?? He couldn't possibly want it. But, why didn't he answer, why was he stunned.

A soft singing voice rang out, like the clanking of bells. Instantly, the anger in Akihiko's heart disappeared. He knew the owner of the voice, and he could not be stopped, his feet running to the source of the sound.

What Akihiko saw then once again, made him stunned. How many times, the human girl had stunned her since they met.

In that arid field, the human girl was dancing alone. In the blue sky of winter, while singing, she raised her hands up, closed her eyes, turned around and moved her body.

Like a flower blooming in the arid land, the dance is so beautiful, making Akihiko unable to take her eyes off. Then, as he watched the girl jump up with open arms, as he saw a single smile on that charming face, his heart once again beat fast.

Akihiko was surprised, he silently mute a thousand languages. In his entire life, he had never experienced such a situation. However, not yet lost his shock, he felt the warm little fingers touch his chin.

"You're okay, Akihiko-sama? Lt hurts? Sorry, Rin was completely unintentional."

The calming smell of spring filled Akihiko's sense of smell. The warmth of the little hand that touched her grabbed all her attention, and as she stared at the human girl's face in front of her, time seemed to come to a standstill for her.

In her long life, Akihiko had never come across a living being that was truly not afraid of her like this girl in front of her. This girl was just an ordinary human being with no strength whatsoever, but there was no fear or disgust towards her who was a youkai. With great courage, innocence and warmth he approached her.

The big brown eyes that were so clear as a spring reflected his shadow. A strange warmth enveloped the recesses of Akihiko's heart, he could see clearly, there was worry in those pair of eyes; worry for him.

Raising her right hand slowly, Akihiko clasped the warm fingers on her chin. Staring at the expression on the face of the human girl who was still full of worry, inevitably she laughed out loud. "Maha."

Stupid human girl, didn't she realize, if she was a youkai, the impact of her head just now meant nothing to her. Even if the human girl really wanted to worry, wouldn't worrying about herself be truer? Perhaps in that pair of brown eyes, he was indeed a nobody.

Akihiko's laughter stunned Rin. He did not understand why the youkai in front of him laughed, but seeing the laughter, he knew, the ruler of the southern land was okay. Unstoppable, a soft bell-like laughter also slid out of Rin's mouth. "Maha."

Rin's laughter made Akihiko's sky blue eyes soften. He had to admit, the human girl's laughter was so good to hear, it could calm him down. Tsubasa's question came to his mind, do you also want the human girl?—the answer was; yes. He also wanted this human girl, he wanted to have her.

Tsubasa's red eyes turned red like blood. His fingers clenched tightly, until blood flowed down as sharp nails pierced the skin. An overwhelming anger filled his heart.

From afar, he could see, Akihiko and Rin were laughing loosely. For hundreds of years accompanying Akihiko, never had she seen the ruler of the southern land laugh like this, never had the youkai she loved laughed like that to her. Wh why? Why not himself? Why should it be that girl?

Anger with unanswered questions, and for the first time, accompanied by anger, a feeling of fear also filled his heart. He did not need to ask the ruler of the southern land any more, the answer was before his eyes; akihiko wanted the human girl.
