A large bright full moon dotted the night sky. The buildings piled high as if reaching the sky. The noise of the night, the sound of speech, laughter, shouting, footsteps and vehicles; make Tokyo as if it does not know its name night.
A fireball flies through the night sky of Tokyo without anyone noticing. Flying high up into the sky, through the clouds, through a visible wealth that the human eye cannot see.
The fireball continued to fly until it finally reached a large palace building that floated above the sky.
Entering the palace, the fireball then transformed into a man-like figure. The light of the full moon shone on the figure a long silver hair tied with a red ribbon, pointed ears, white skin, a pair of golden-colored eyes, a pair of lines on the cheeks and a crescent moon on the forehead. Once seen, anyone will realize he is not a human, but a youkai, although the concerned prefer to be called hanyou.
Tallly strapping, she wore a white kimono with her family's coat of arms behind her back. His footsteps slowly walked down the dark and silent hallway of the palace, while his handsome face was flat with no expression.
Entering a large garden, his sharp eyes caught dozens of well-embedded cherry blossom trees and bloomed beautifully in the spring night.
His sense of smell then caught the smell he was looking for. Continuing to step towards the source of the smell, those golden eyes found the figure he was looking for.
In the moonlight, within the huge garden of the palace above the desolate sky, a giant dog sat lying down with its eyes closed.
The dog is very large, its size if standing will reach the buildings that win high in the human world. The fur is silvery white with overtime light, two pairs of blue lines on the cheeks and a large crescent moon on the forehead. The dog is an inudaiyoukai.
Walking up to the dog quietly without a sound, slowly, the giant dog then opened his eyes—a pair of blood red eyes with blue chlorae. A pair of eyes identical to her in her original form.
"Shora." Calling the dog quietly, his voice echoed filled the empty gardens and palaces.
"Yahuj." Reply to the youkai.
"Shora." Call that giant dog again.
Shura, the youkai did not reply anymore, his golden eyes looking straight at the giant dog who was his own real father; Sesshoumaru, the Inudayoukai from the west. His eyes were full of respect, because the figure in front of him was forever his pride and role model.
Sesshoumaru no longer called out the name of his only son, his golden eyes staring at the adult figure of the child who was completely similar to himself in silence.
A son will surpass his father. Like her who surpassed Inu No Taisho, her father, Shura her son had also surpassed her.
The pride filled Sesshoumaru's heart. The only son who was very proud, the son who united all the youkai in Japan in his hands; the revered king of the youkai.
He saw with his own eyes the growth of his son, from a little baby to a man, from a youkai to the King of youkai. Seeing her big, married to the little hanyou she loved, had children, had a family and was happy.
Times have changed, the world has changed. The world of humans and youkai has come together. No more youkai wandering around like his youth, now youkai lives quietly with humans in the kingdom of his son unknown to man.
Once upon a time, many told him, the human blood in his son's veins would weaken his son. He would never be the ruler of the western lands in his place. They were right, his son proved not to be the ruler of the western lands, his son to be the king of all youkai kings; the only absolute ruler of all youkai.
The woman's blood never weakens her son, who is, it strengthens him, the blood of living things that used to be seen as low as human blood.
That lady...
Turning into his long life, Sesshoumaru thought, how many years have passed, a hundred? Five hundred or a thousand?—not more than a thousand. How long had it been since he lost that woman? He no longer knew, he had forgotten to count.
She was the only woman he loved. What does it look like? Year after year passed, in her long life, in her memory, the appearance of the woman increasingly disappeared eroded by time. But, in these thousands of years as well, she still vividly remembered the warmth and happiness her heartfelt love gave her.
Staring at Shura again, Sesshoumaru tried to find what the woman had passed on to their son. He knows, not that eye, not that nose, not that face, but....
"Smile, Shura."
The father's sudden and unexpected orders inevitably stunned Shura. However, a moment later he smiled as he wanted the figure he respected the most.
Sesshoumaru's golden eyes were stunned at the smile of the child.
Yep.
That smile. The smile on his son's face now was that woman's smile. The spring smile she always loved—the smile Rin etched eternally in her heart
Closing his golden eyes slowly, Seshoumaru smiled. "Shura, he loves you.."
Shura was stunned to hear his father's words.
"Rin loves you, always loves you..."
Shura smiled. How Rin; how much his birth mother loved him, the youkai King knew. Without being told anyone he knew, for his existence had proved the love of the mother; his anomalous existence as a true youkai with half-human blood.
Then, in the stillness that existed, in the darkness of the night, Shura could clearly hear the sound of the father's heart beating that was getting weaker.
"We always love you..."
The father's voice stopped as well as the beating of his heart. Shura knew, she had lost her respected and proud father for good. Sesshoumaru, the ruler of the western land in the sengoku period has closed his age calmly.
But, Shura did not cry, she smiled, because she knew, her father would meet his mother in the flower garden of a million colors. "Shura has always loved you too, Father, Mother..."
He was standing in a place that was no stranger to him. Blue sky with a million colors adorn the view. He had returned to the field of flowers that stretched out as far as the eye could see.
With his tall stout body, he stood in the flower field with his young figure. The same figure in the days when he had everything.
Name no naka
Mori no naka
His ears caught clearly the melodious singing voice of a woman from a distance.
Kaze no naka
Yume no naka's
Stepping his feet slowly, he headed towards the source of the voice. A voice that was familiar to him, a voice that was part of the most precious memory pieces in his existence
Sesshoumaru-sama doko ni iru
Jakken - sama wo shita naete
That's where the woman is. Again, he saw her sitting in a flower garden. Like the flower itself, she sat in a necklace and crown with her tiny hands singing.
The sky-black hair without stars, snow-white skin, rose-colored cheeks and lips, innocent eyes as clear as a lake, then that smile—an eternal spring smile etched eternally in his heart.
That face, he could remember it again. The face that never changed, the face of the only woman he loved in his long life.
Watashi wa hitori de machimashou
Sesshoumaru - samomodori wo
The woman stopped singing when she realized her presence. Lifting his face, that wide smile widened due to happiness. Then, when their eyes met, the woman immediately stood up and ran towards him—jumped in her arms full of laughter of happiness.
He hugged back and put a face in the slit of the woman's neck, smelling the smell of the eternal spring that he had longed for. Warmth filled every niche of his heart.
"Okaeri, Sesshoumaru-sama." The woman said slowly.
He smiled and tightened his embrace. "Accept, Rin."
She was happy–because she finally came home. Go home to where she was supposed to be, and this time, she knew, she would never part with this woman again. He was finally able to keep his promise to the woman; forever and always, together until the end of time.
..."How long can you love me?"...
..."Forever. No matter my breath has stopped, no matter my body has gone, as long as my soul is still there—no. Even if my soul is gone, my love for you will never change. I'll always love you, until the end of time."...
...How long can you love Rin, Sesshoumaru-sama?"...
..."Forever. No matter your breath has stopped, no matter your body is gone, as long as your soul is still there—no. Even if your soul is gone, my love for you will never change. This Sesshoumaru will always love you, Rin, until the end of time..."...
