Chapter 123

Akihiko did not care about Inuyasha nor Kiri who looked at him with anger. Standing silently silent within the garden, her sky blue eyes looked at Rin who was shocked by her sudden presence.

"Akihiko-sama?" call Rin confused. This was the second time the ruler of the southern land had appeared in front of his room suddenly like this.

Sesshoumaru did not say anything. Flat with no expression, his two golden eyes stared intently at Akihiko. From the very beginning he did not have a good relationship with the wolf youkai, moreover, he knew clearly his feelings for Rin. Therefore, his arrival here must not be a good thing.

Inuyasha who was staring at Akihiko could not help but hold back the anger. Looking at Sesshoumaru, he shouted loudly. "Sesshoumaru," he called. "That damn white eye once, and this damn wolf twice already! Why is this richness in your palace so weak???"

Kagome who heard Inuyasha's question could only sigh. In fact, it was not the kekkai of this palace that was weak. This Kekkai palace was extremely powerful, only, the daiyoukai with an incredible destructive power was stronger. That kekkai won't be able to stop them.

"Ale???" inuyasha shouted with anger. His two golden eyes stared dislikefully at Akihiko. "Do you wolves not know what that word is; surrender??"

Akihiko did not care about Inuyasha, as if that innuanyou and the others did not exist. In his eyes there was only Rin. "Leave the dog, come with me to the land of the south."

Sesshoumaru growled furiously at Akihiko's words. His golden eyes turned blood red. However, Rin who was beside him, immediately touched his arm; calming him down.

Smiling gently at Akihiko, Rin shook her head and returned the gaze of the wolf youkai's eyes straight. "Rin will never leave the western lands, Akihiko-sama. Once again, Rin answers your question; in this world, Rin just wants to be next to Sesshoumaru-sama alone, there is nothing else."

There was relief and happiness filling Sesshoumaru's heart hearing Rin's answer. Only he's a—Rin just wants to be next to him, not the others.

Rin's reply made Akihiko feel pain in her heart. But, he had also guessed and prepared himself for an answer like this.

Rin never changed. The woman of man is forever; stupid. Despite knowing all the consequences, he still did not want to change his mind in the slightest his love for Sesshoumaru had blinded him.

"I understand. You're such a fool." Closing his eyes, he took a breath. Then, as he opened his eyes again, he shot out with incredible speed towards Rin while unsheathing the kazakiri no kiba sword in hand.

Akihiko's quick movements made Inuyasha and Kiri who were standing at the door also immediately pull out their swords to resist the attack. However, moving his sword, the ruler of the southern land easily pushed and threw the two of them backwards.

Not lowering even the slightest bit of his speed, Akihiko continued running towards Sesshoumaru and Rin. Raising his sword, he pointed it at the inuyoukai who was looking at him sharply.

"Sesshoumaru-sama!!" rin shouted in fear seeing what was happening quickly.

Sesshoumaru raised his left hand holding back Akihiko's sword aimed at him. The bakusaiga and tensaiga swords were not on him right now, the two swords were at the back. Red blood immediately flowed down his right arm.

Moving his right hand against Akihiko, a green light filled Sesshoumaru's palm. "Dokkas."

Akihiko quickly leapt back dodging Sesshoumaru's attack.

"Sister!!" the sound of Kagome's cry sounded in the chaos that existed.

Looking at the source of the sound, Sesshoumaru's eyes found Kagome who had no idea since when it had been beside the bakusaiga and tensaiga swords. With all his might, the future miko picked up and threw the two swords at the owner. "Catch her!!"

Sesshoumaru swiftly caught the two swords and slipped them around his waist. Not wasting any time either, the inuyoukai ran forward while finishing the bakusaiga attacking Akihiko. "Left! Protect Rin!"

Following Sesshoumaru's orders, Kiri quickly ran towards Rin. Using his body, he hugged tightly and made his back as a shield for the western earth kisaki who was still unconscious from his shocked feelings.

Inuyasha also moved quickly. Just like Kiri, the innuanyou jumped up and opened both of his hands to tightly hug Kagome.

Bakusaiga and kazakiri no kiba.

The two daiyoukai swords in the hands of their respective masters rang out, creating a tremendous impact. A strong wind blew, the floor on which they stood cracked and shattered.

Clutching his hand at Bakusaiga, Sesshoumaru then moved forward, prompting Akihiko to move away from the place where they were or rather away from Rin.

Akihiko realized what Sesshoumaru was doing, therefore, he happily followed the plan. He did not care that even though his body hit the room door to the point of being broken, a smile filled his handsome face.

With their clashing eyes; gold and sky blue. When the foot stepped on the park, the two daiyoukai did not waste the opportunity again. Moving the sword at a speed that normal eyes could not catch, they again attacked each other.

"Sesshoumaru-sama! Akihiko-yama! Stop that!" shouted Rin. He who was still weak tried to get up, however, the left who was still hugging him held him back.

"You must not carelessly move, Rin-small." Inukimi's voice suddenly sounded in chaos.

Looking at the source of the voice, Rin's brown eyes found Inukimi who had no idea since when she had been next to him. The two golden eyes of the former lord of the western lands looked at him seriously not expecting a rejection of what he had just said. "Remember Shura."

Rin was silent a thousand languages heard Inukimi's words. But, even so, how could he allow Sesshoumaru and Akihiko to fight continuously like this?

The sound of commotion immediately attracted the attention of the palace residents. Instantly, the soldiers who came, as well as Miroku.

"Kagome, Rin," called Miroku quickly as soon as he set foot into the room that had been destroyed. His face was full of worry. "Are you both okay?"

"We're fine" replied Kagome who walked up to Rin with Inuyasha. There was a little panic in his eyes. "Kids?"

"Silent. Sango took care of them," Miroku replied with a smile to calm the future miko. "They're far from this commotion."

Kagome breathed a sigh of relief at Miroku's reply. Squatting down, he immediately examined Rin's pulse.

"Rin, relax." Said Kagome slowly seeing the panic on Rin's face, although in her heart she also knew, how could this human woman be calm. But, it is not good for pregnant women to be surprised and panic like this, especially if their health from the beginning is not healthy.

"Inuyasha-sama!" call Rin. Both of his hands immediately caught Kagome's hand, while his eyes looked at Inuyasha. "Rin please, stop Sesshoumaru-sama and Akihiko-sama!"

Rin's request made Inuyasha sigh. To be honest he did not want to stop the two daiyoukai at all, but, seeing the facial expression of the human woman who was begging him, he also did not have the heart.

"Let me stop them both." Cut Inukimi out of the blue.

"Eh??" simultaneously Rin, Kagome, Imuyasha and Miroku stare at Inukimi.

Inukimi turned her face back to the eyes of everyone and laughed. "Let this old me stop them."

"Mother?" call Rin in disbelief, wasn't Inukimi holding her back who wanted to stop Sesshoumaru and Akihiko?

"I told you not to move my daughter," Inukimi replied with a laugh. He could clearly see the question on Rin's face. "I didn't say I didn't want to stop them."

Inukimi's words made Rin's brown eyes sparkle with joy. "Pardon Rin who misunderstood, Mother," his smile was wide. "Then, Rin will trouble you to stop Sesshoumaru-sama and Akihiko-sama."

Inukimi laughed at Rin's smile. Stepping forward calmly, his golden eyes looked at the figures of Sesshoumaru and Akihiko fighting in the garden.

The beautiful garden has now been destroyed. Both Sesshoumaru and Akihiko were completely indifferent to their surroundings. Destroyed soil, fallen trees—Inukimi is grateful it is winter so no flowers grow. Otherwise, Rin would have been sad to see it.

In fact, even though Sesshoumaru and Akihiko were fighting with their terrifying strength, Inukimi knew, they were not really killing each other. Rin immediately moved her hand pulling Sesshoumaru's right hand. Both of his eyes stared worriedly at the wound on the inuyoukai hand that was holding back Akihiko's attack just now. "You okay, Sesshoumaru-sama?" tanyanya slow.

The wound on Sesshoumaru's hand was not severe. For a daiyoukai it seems, the wound will heal in a few hours. Moreover, he knew, Akihiko's attack from the start didn't really target his life.

"The dog was injured," Akihiko's voice suddenly sounded. The wolf youkai looked straight at Rin who was now looking at him in confusion. "You can see for yourself, can't you, Rin?"

Akihiko's question confused Rin, as did the others. They did not understand the meaning of the question of the ruler of the southern land.

The left growled furiously at Akihiko's remark that the western lands would lose. Inukimi did not move, but she stared dislikefully at the wolf youkai.

Rin's facial expression was very peaceful, his two clear brown eyes shining quietly. A smile filled his face. "The West will not lose."

A small smile filled Sesshoumaru's handsome face hearing what Rin said. Kisaki the honorable and confident western lands—there was not the slightest doubt in his eyes when answering the question addressed to him.

Akihiko laughed at the answer Rin gave. "You are stupid, Rin. You still believe in that dog!"

"Hey, motherfucker!!" inuyasha shouted cutting, he could no longer bear to be yelled at like that by Akihiko. "So this is what you mean here?? You came just for all your bullshit talk???!"

Stop laughing, Akihiko looked at Rin. "Rin," he called her softly. "I will say it one last time; leave the land of the west, come with me to the south. Be my child, and I will protect you and your child."

"You said something funny, Akihiko-san," interrupted Miroku suddenly. He looked at Akihiko with a smile on his face. If this conversation continues, Sesshoumaru and Akihiko may fight again—he does not want it to happen, because the children are still in this palace

"Rin-chan becomes a kisaki land west or kisaki land south—it all makes no difference. If Sesshoumaru can't protect her, how can you possibly protect her?"

Akihiko laughed again, his sky blue eyes staring at Miroku. A smile filled his handsome face. "Of course it's different. Being a southern land kisaki is very different from being a western land kisaki."

"Humans who become youkai kisaki are actually not a problem" explained Akihiko slowly. "If that Kisaki isn't the only woman beside the ruler."

"Huh??"

"What??"

All those who were staring in disbelief with the unexpected answer that Akihiko gave.

"You're crazy, huh??" hardik Inuyasha's. He really doesn't understand Akihiko anymore. As stupid as a woman, where would anyone want to share her own husband with another woman?

"Left-sama," call Rin slowly. With a smile still on his face, he looked at the Left who was carrying him. "Let Rin down."

Kiri hesitates to hear Rin's orders, but sees Sesshoumaru and Inukimi saying nothing, and finally lowers the human woman in her arms.

Standing upright while touching her big belly, Rin took a slow three-step step forward. Sighing, he returned a friendly smile at Akihiko. "Thank you, Akihiko-sama. Rin understands what you mean."

Closing his eyes, Rin knew, although Akihiko's attitude and speech greatly shocked everyone here, the purpose of the wolf youkai was to make sure of his kindness. The wolf youkai gave him a solution to solve the problem.

Then, not far from the garden where everything happened, on the roof of one of the eastern pavilions of the western earthen palace, Tsubasa stood majestically looking at everything.

A smile filled his face, his eyes twinkling happily at Akihiko. However, it was also undeniable, how much his heart ache felt.
