Till The End Of Time [Inuyasha Fanfiction ]
Chapter 47's

The night where the moon had appeared in place of the sun, Kohaku stood up and walked here and there without knowing what to do in front of the east pavilion of the western land Palace. In his hand, he was idling tightly around a golden bracelet. He wants to present the bracelet to Rin as a birthday present, however, he himself does not know how to present it either.

Rin's.

Sighing, Kohaku ruffled his black hair. His ears could hear clearly the sound of laughter from the direction of the park, and he knew, all the inhabitants of this western land palace and the guests were still partying, including Rin. Standing alone where he was right now, he felt completely useless. Why is he so cowardly? He did not have the courage to give the bracelet directly to Rin. Then, in his heart, he also realized, the gift was not a luxurious gift that could defeat the various gifts that the girl had received. But, at least this was the single most luxurious gift she could afford, and she was very hopeful that the human girl would like it.

"Kohaku?"

The soft sound of the clanking of bells calling out to him made Kohaku come to his senses from his mind. Staring at the source of the voice, the young taijiya's face instantly turned crimson, as Rin, the girl he liked was standing looking at him full of smiles.

"What's wrong? Why didn't Kohaku join the others at the party? Kenpa Kohaku is here alone?" tanya Rin bertubi approached Kohaku.

Rin's question made Kohaku's already flushed face even more red. Stuttering, he immediately hid the bracelet in his hand and asked himself. "N-it's okay, what. Yep! I-I'll join the others!"

Not waiting for Rin to reply, Kohaku quickly left the confused girl behind. Various expletives pronounced the young taijiya on him. He's a coward and a fool, he admits it now.

Rin who was confused by Kohaku's attitude only he looked at the young man until he completely disappeared from his sight. Shaking his head, Rin decided to enter the eastern pavilion towards his room. Kohaku's face was flushed red, probably because the young man was also already drunk like the others.

Passing through the dark corridor with moonlight above the night sky towards his room. Rin could only laugh. It seems, the residents had indeed forgotten and dissolved in their intoxicating party, until the corridor lantern lights had forgotten they turned on. However, he would not reprimand them, because he knew, they also needed to rest, and most importantly, seeing their smiling and laughing faces, he would let it go. Especially today, because today is a special day, and even, Sesshoumaru as the owner of this palace may not mind.

Entering his room, Rin turns on the lantern lights himself to light up his room. Opening up her luxurious kimono, she replaced it with a silk white yukata which was her nightgown. Breaking off to sleep even though the night was still not so late, Rin's ear then caught a knock on the door of his room.

"Who?" ryn asked confusedly.

"May I come in, Rin-sama." A woman's soft voice sounded.

Rin was confused to hear the soft voice, because he did not know who the owner of the voice was. However, without a second thought, he let her in. "Yes, please."

Dining on the open shoji door, a smile flashed across Rin's face. Rin's big brown eyes can see who's coming in, a haired and red-eyed youkai woman, Tsubasa, the Consort of the Southern Land Ruler.

"Tsubasa-sama, please come in," greeted Rin with a laugh, "Can Rin help you?"

Tsubasa smiled at Rin's welcome. Stepping foot in slowly, his red eyes looked at the human girl. "There's something I want to give you, Rin-sama."

"Eh?" rin was surprised.

With a smile still on her face, Tsubasa then pulled out a small bottle from under her kimono arm and handed it to Rin. "From the South to you, Happy Birthday Rin-sama."

Rin smiled widely and looked at the youkai in front of him. "Thank you for giving Rin a gift, even if it's not necessary. Rin is already happy and honored that Tsubasa-sama himself has been willing to wish Rin a happy birthday in person."

Tsubasa shook her head. "No, Rin-sama, the honor belongs to the servant," again giving up the gift in his hand, he smiled once more. "Therefore, accept this gift."

Unable to refuse the gift given again, Rin then accepts it. "Thank you, Tsubasa-sama." Staring for a moment at the gift in his hand, Rin then looked at Tsubasa again. "Tsubasa-sama, may Rin ask, what is this?"

Rin nodded his head with an increasingly wide smile. Not wasting any time, he immediately uncapped the small bottle and inhaled it. The smell of various flowers immediately kissed Rin's nose, a fresh smell that made her feel like spring had arrived. However, a moment later, all of a sudden, his mind went blank. His whole body lost energy, his eyes became heavy, and he fell into the embrace of darkness.

Tsubasa who sees Rin losing energy immediately catches the human girl's body. Smiling smirked he looked at the unconscious face of the human girl. Feeling safe, she then called out the name of her trusted lady. "Himiko."

Rin's room's shoji door opened, and Himiko, Tsubasa's lady-in-waiting, walked in with a large piece of black cloth in her hand. "Yes, Tsubasa-sama."

"The train is ready?" tsubasa asked without even turning her face away from Rin, who she now laid on the tatami floor.

"Of course it's ready, Tsubasa-sama." Reply to Himiko with a smile approaching Tsubasa.

Tsubasa then pulled out another small bottle from behind the arm of her kimono. Uncapped the bottle, Tsubasa pulls out a strand of Rin's hair and puts it inside. White smoke suddenly emerged from the bottle and spread to the room where they were. Taking the black cloth in Himiko's hand, the Southern Land Ruler's Concubine then opened it and covered Rin's entire body.

This plan had been well drawn up by Tsubasa. As he saw how the west was watching the human girl, the Southern Land Ruler's Concubine was aware, the girl could be one of the weapons for the south intent on conquering the west. Then, when he saw the party that was held and attended by all the palace residents and made the palace guard very weak, he knew, he could not waste the opportunity and had to act immediately.

None of them would have realized Himiko had put in a potion that would have made the entire palace drunk until tomorrow morning. Then, in reality, Sesshoumaru who was still in his study on the West side of the palace and had not returned to his room which was right next to Rin's room, made his chances of success even higher. The plan would fall apart if Sesshoumaru realized what he was doing, because Tsubasa knew, he along with all the soldiers and maids who had come with him from the south would no longer be able to leave the Western Land Palace alive.

Inuyoukai is a youkai with a keen sense of smell, let alone inuyoukai as level as Sesshoumaru. Where Rin is, he may always be aware of it. Therefore, by utilizing the advantages of the Western Land Ruler, he would trick her. Mixing Rin's hair with the potion in her bottle just now, she has created a distinctive Rin smell that will be permanent in this room until tomorrow morning, then with a black cloth that now covers Rin, he had made the smell of the human girl vanish from anyone's sense of smell. Sesshoumaru would not notice in the least until tomorrow morning, that the human girl so precious to him had actually disappeared from his palace.

Not saying anything, Himiko then lifted Rin's body which had been covered in cloth slowly over her shoulder. Reversing her body, she then follows Tsubasa who has now walked out of the human girl room known as hime-sama from the west.

Entering the back garden of the eastern pavilion avoiding the palace occupants who were partying, Tsubasa and Himiko walked towards the carriage where the maids and soldiers from the south had been waiting. However, suddenly a flying scythe attacked Tsubasa and Himiko.

Jumping away from the scythe, the two youkai eyes stared at the direction of the attack. Under the moonlight not far from where they were standing, they saw a human youth standing idly staring at them with the sickle sword chain he had drawn back. Despite not knowing what his name was, Tsubasa and Himiko soon discover that the young man is taijiya one of Inuyasha's friend's invited guests, Sesshoumaru's half-blood brother.

"Let go of Rin." Kohaku orders a gentle look at the two youkai in front of him. He didn't expect to experience something like this now. As she decides to go back and embolden Rin to give her a birthday present, she sees Tsubasa and Himiko walking out the east pavilion door to the back garden. Seeing something that was on Himiko's shoulder. The young Taijiya instantly knew that the large mound covered in cloth was definitely Rin, because only the girl was the one who was now in the eastern pavilion.

Tsubasa and Himiko said nothing. They just stared fixedly at Kohaku, until finally, Tsubasa chuckled. His long and sharp clawed hands moved to touch Rin who was on Himiko's shoulders. "Let go of Rin-sama and let you take her away? Letting you ruin my plan?"

A second too, suddenly, Himiko had been in front of Kohaku with Rin still on her shoulder. His clawed hands quickly lifted to attack the young taijiya. Kohaku jumps back dodging, with Rin on Himiko's shoulder, he does not dare to recklessly attack, because, what happens if it turns out that youkai make Rin as a shield to protect themselves. However, unexpectedly from behind him, Tsubasa suddenly appeared. Using his hand, he directly hit the back of the young taijiya's neck firmly.

Tsubasa's powerful punch made Kohaku instantly fall to the ground. His sight immediately darkened and he lost his strength. The one Tsubasa struck was one of the points of human weakness, the point at which humans would soon lose consciousness if struck.

"When I want to kill you, but, the smell of blood and death will surely immediately attract the attention of Sesshoumaru who has a very sharp sense of smell." Tsubasa's smile looks at the helpless Kohaku.

Kohaku desperately tries to keep his consciousness, as he doesn't dare to imagine what would happen if he doesn't succeed in helping Rin. However, no matter how hard he tried, darkness quickly began to take over him, and among the dwindling consciousness, he could hear clearly what Tsubasa was saying.

"Tell Sesshoumaru, the Lord of the West. We, the South declare war on the West."
