"Well, I'm sorry Kendra let you down." Kendra sat on her mother's lap.
Ajeng almost fainted when Amanda's parents contacted her to ask for accountability for their daughter's pregnancy, not only did Amanda's parents contact her, fay's parents contacted him to break his daughter's engagement to Kendra and said they would immediately return the offerings and jewelry Kendra gave at the engagement yesterday.
Therefore Ajeng asked his son to return to Jogja, he wanted to hear firsthand what was really happening.
"For God's sake, Kendra didn't touch Amanda at all" Kendra said confidently. "Kendra just drove Amanda to her friend's birthday party, it was Bude Jum who asked and with Fay's permission."
Ajeng looked at his son's eyes fixedly, as a mother of course he knew that his son was not lying or making up stories, only... "Kendra, mama wants to ask you a few things," said Ajeng gently.
"Do you have any evidence that you didn't do that? For example hotel CCTV footage or hotel review data?" ask Ajeng.
Kendra shakes. "Since the beginning of the incident I have asked, but the hotel said on that night the ground floor CCTV is under repair so they do not have the footage. And somehow my identity card was at the reception, when I was sure I never gave it to anyone" Kendra reassured her mother.
Ajeng nodded, then asked his son again. "What was the night you drank?"
Kendra was silent for a moment, she remembered that she had promised her mother never to drink alcohol again. "Yes," he nodded weakly. "But two glasses of mah, and I'm sure I wouldn't get drunk just because of the two glasses of alcohol I drank if nobody added anything to my drink."
"Do you have proof?"
Kendra shook her head, she had absolutely no evidence. All he said was a belief in himself.
Ajeng tightly grasped Kendra's hand which was still bowed in his lap. "That's what you meant yesterday, why you're so mad at you. But instead you ignored your message and promise," he asked his son to look at him. "Mad..."
"Be the man in charge."
"But mah, Kendra doesn't.." she said.
"Facts are there, you drink champagne and you're in bed with Amanda without clothes. So take responsibility!!" pinta Ajeng's.
Kendra shook her head. "It's not fair, ma'am, I don't want to lose Fay" she couldn't imagine when Fay heard this news, really Kendra didn't want the woman she loved so much to be sad and disappointed in him.
"Fay's parents already knew. His mother called his mother this morning, they broke off your engagement" Ajeng said, clenching his hands. Indeed, not only Kendra who grieves over the breakup of her son's engagement to Fay, Ajeng also felt the same sadness, he had already fallen in love with the figure of Fay, Fay, many wishes that he had arranged when later Fay had officially become his son-in-law, he wanted Fay to stay with him as long as Fay finished his studies, he wanted to teach Fay many things, he wanted to teach Fay many things, but all the wishful thinking must be extinct because of the break of their engagement bond.
"Well, Kendra doesn't want to lose Fay. Kendra wants to marry Fay, "her tears broke on her mother's lap.
Meanwhile, in a different place, Fay seems busy sorting out and choosing wedding invitations that he will soon share. "It's for the friends, doctors and nurses at the hospital I'm going to invite" he kept it in a paper bag he was going to bring the next day.
"This one has Kendra and her family," Fay put it in a medium-sized box and gave the label "Great Family of Kendra," so as not to be confused with other invitations.
"Big!!!"
After almost an hour of wrestling with thousands of wedding invitations, he finally finished checking and grouping them, Fay came out of his room with an invitation box for his friends. Coincidentally the courier house that he believed to deliver his invitation was next to his residence, so Fay took the initiative to come to him as well as give the fare for him.
While passing her mother who was in the living room, Ratri asked her daughter. "Where are you going Fay?"
Fay's eyes were fixed on the box he was carrying. "This is mom, would like to give an invitation to Linda, so that tomorrow she can share to my friends' garden," he replied.
Ratri and her husband looked at each other when they heard their eldest daughter was about to hand out an invitation. "Sit down for a second!" pinta Ratri patted the sofa next to her.
Seeing that the clock on the wall had set at 20:00, Fay hesitated to chat with his parents, thinking that chatting with his parents would take a long time especially when talking about wedding preparations. "Later on, ma'am, out of Linda's house, afraid of a bad night."
"But baby!!" Ratri again patted the sofa, asking her daughter to sit between herself and her husband.
Fay breathed out. "Yes," he put his invitation box on the table and sat down next to his parents. "What the hell is mom, yeah." Fay turned to look at his father and mother in turn.
Ratri and her husband looked at each other, giving a code on who would put their eldest daughter.
"Dad, what's wrong with mom? Later to the night," said Fay annoyed to see his parents never talk.
Ratri stroked his daughter's head gently. "The invitation does not need to be shared, yes, it is stored in the warehouse" Ratri said carefully.
Fay was immediately shocked to hear his mother's words. "Well, why mom? Why can't it be shared? Why keep it in the warehouse? I'm not kidding, I'm the same Ken's getting married."
Ratri was downcast, he really could not say, he knew exactly how much his daughter loved Kendra, clear circles began to fall on Ratri's cheeks. Fay panicked and was scared. "Dad, what's wrong with Mom? what the hell is going on?"
"Sorry Fay, we've broken off your engagement to Kendra."
"I mean dad?"
"Last noon, we contacted Kendra's parents to break off your engagement and also cancel your wedding plans with Kendra."
Fay is getting confused. "Why did mom and dad cancel it? Is our wedding in front of you?"
Ratri's cry became more and more so, in between her sobs she said. "Kendra has impregnated Amanda."
Fay shook his head "No.. Kendra wouldn't do it like that" she got out of her seat and ran to her room to contact Kendra and ask for clarity.
