CHAPTER 25

Kendra was surprised to find Amanda sleeping next to her without clothes on. "Jeez, Amanda!!" kendra said, taking off Amanda's hand that was coiled around her waist.

Amanda wakes up when Kendra puts her hands away and pushes her body "Hmmm... What the hell is mas?" he asked casually as he rubbed his eyes, and gathered his consciousness.

"What did you say?" Kendra began to raise her tone. "Do you want to be in my room? Didn't I tell you that you need something to knock on my door, not sneak in what else is sleeping on my bed!!" snapped Kendra, it feels like she can't stand to stay on the roof with Amanda.

Amanda just bowed her head, she did not dare to look at Kendra every time Kendra scolded her. "I can't sleep, I just want to sleep with my husband" she said.

Kendra got out of her bed, and walked to her closet to pick up her work clothes. He closes his closet, then goes to Amanda. "Stop pretending! We both know that the child you bear is not my son."

A flash of anger was clearly emanating in the look in his eyes. "I want to marry you because I have no proof at all, but once the child is born, I'll sue you back." Kendra slammed the door of her room and left her apartment, choosing to take a bath in the office rather than linger in her apartment.

Actually that night Kendra was reluctant to go home to her apartment and intended to spend the night at the Angga residence, but because there are office documents left in her room, Kendra was forced to go home to her apartment.

While trying to get into the elevator, Kendra was accidentally hit by a baby carriage. "Wait, don't close the elevator!" said the woman who pushed the train.

Kendra held her hand to press the elevator button, she looked at the woman who was pushing the baby carriage into the elevator. "Luna?" After Luna and the baby came in, she closed the elevator door.

As with Kendra, Luna was surprised to cross paths with Kendra. "Kendra, you live here?"

Kendra nodded, "Yes, I live here" he said. "This apartment was pretty good so I bought a unit on the 16th floor." Kendra's eyes were fixed on the baby carriage in front of Luna.

Luna smiled sumringah. "This is my little angel" she knew that Kendra wanted to ask her about her son. "But unfortunately she had a fever, because of the weather change so I took her to the doctor." she opened her baby carriage fitter. "Do you want to see it?"

Kendra looked up at the baby carriage, she saw the adorable baby boy kicking the blanket while laughing and raising his arms. "Who is this handsome guy?" kendra asked, she stroked chubby Gavin's cheek.

"Gavin" replied Luna.

"Can I hold him?"

Luna happily invited Kendra to hold her son. "Of course."

With great care Kendra held Gavin, she placed Gavin on her shoulders. Gavin looks comfortable in Kendra's arms, to the point that Gavin is clutching Kendra's shirt.

"It looks like he's missing his daddy" said Luna. "But only two days at work. Gavin is so close to his daddy that it's a bit fussy at staying."

Kendra stroked Gavin lovingly. "I'll take you all the way to your apartment unit."

Kendra breathed out her heavy breath. "Me and Fay are not married," Kendra bowed, it still feels too painful to remember the agony of her romance with Fay because she had to marry Amanda.

"Correct?" ask Luna to not believe it. "So that's why you canceled the gala dinner?"

Kendra nodded weakly, not only did she invite her office friends, but also invited Luna and her family to a gala dinner she made for the celebration while introducing Fay to her friends, but the event was forced to cancel even though he had spread the invitation.

"But why Ken? Don't you love each other?" asked Luna while opening the door of her apartment, she let Kendra in.

"I have to marry another woman."

"OH MY GOD KENDRA..."

Sssstttt, Kendra put her index finger on Luna's lips. "Gavin has just gone to sleep" he flips his body to show Luna that her son is asleep on Kendra's shoulder. "Where's the room?"

"There," Luna directs Kendra into her son's room. "Let it lie here" Luna patted the baby's mattress, which belonged to her son.

Slowly Kendra laid Gavin on the bed, she looked at Luna enveloping Gavin and igniting the aroma of therapy. Kendra is very salute to see Luna who looks very fond of Gavin even though she is not her own biological child.

"My little angel is so handsome and adorable isn't he?" ask Luna to Kendra.

Kendra nodded in agreement. "The nose looks like you."

"Actually he is much more like my husband, perhaps that is what is called a mate. A mate is not always about a partner, but a child who is destined to complete our family can also be called a mate," said Luna, he turned to Kendra. "Do you want to talk to me?"

Luna took Kendra back to the living room, she and Kendra chatted casually while enjoying soft drinks and light meals. "So who's the woman you married?" tanya Luna started their conversation.

Kendra cleared her throat before she answered Luna's question. "His name is Amanda, she's Fay's cousin."

Luna smothered her mouth with both hands. "Kendras... You're so mean" Luna can't believe Kendra married Fay's cousin.

"Listen to me first, Luna!!" Kendra began to tell stories from the beginning of her meeting with Amanda, to the reason why she married Amanda. "I'm pretty sure Amanda's baby isn't my real son."

Luna exhaled softly, she was very understanding of what Kendra was feeling, yet she had a different view. "We never know, because at that time you were in an unconscious condition," Luna grabbed Kendra's hand and held it. "We have a few possibilities. First, the boy is your son, second he's not your son but his father doesn't want to take responsibility, because if his father takes responsibility, Amanda won't set you up."

Luna asked Kendra to look at her. "Ken, but one thing's for sure the boy's innocent. I once read an article if a pregnant woman in a state of stress it will affect the fetus in her birth. Your child or not is definitely the psychic condition Amanda is not okay. Do good for the child, at least until the child is born. Because if he's your son, you've saved your own son, and if he's not your son you've saved an innocent little angel."

Luna held back her tears, she recounted that when she met Gavin, the baby was low in weight and had weak endurance, most likely caused by the condition of the mother experiencing stress when pregnant. "If I had met Gavin's mother while she was pregnant with Gavin, I would have embraced him and taken care of him so that Gavin could be born healthy, but unfortunately, until now, I have no idea where it is. Please Ken, take care of the child until he is born, after which you can decide on the next step."
