CHAPTER 48

Fay came out of the hospital, walking down the street thinking. 'If Kendra was trapped by Amanda, why would Kendra look happy as if she had completely forgotten me?' inward Fay continued to ask, "Is it that easy for Kendra to forget the relationship that we've built for five years?" her tears trickled down her pretty face every time she recalled her relationship with Kendra.

Fay was surprised when someone held her hand, almost yelling before she knew Kendra was holding her hand. "I think there's something we need to talk about." Kendra took Fay's hand to the park around the hospital.

Kendra cleaned the park bench with her hands and then she let Fay sit and then she sat next to him.

They were silent for quite a while, no one dared to stare at each other. Kendra finally cleared her throat and began to speak. "I've got your wedding invitation" Kendra said. "But I'm sorry I couldn't make it, I had to look after Lily and do a study for Amanda."

Fay nodded. "It's okay, I understand you, Ken."

Return to silence for a moment.

"Ken.. Are you really going to take care of Lily?" ask Fay. "I mean, Lily wasn't your real daughter."

Kendra smiled, actually not only Fay who had doubted her would take care of Lily alone, but her parents themselves had doubted her.

"As you know, I used to deny Amanda and the baby in my life, because I was sure the baby was not my child" Kendra said, she began to tell me about Amanda's pregnancy, until he decides to learn to make peace with the circumstances because no matter what, the boy is innocent. "I want the baby to be born healthy and safe. So when the time came, I managed to prove that the boy was not my son, I did not have any burden."

Fay's body began to tremble, he did not expect if Kendra thought that far to the condition of the innocent baby in Amanda's womb, which was not sinful, whereas he used to think that Kendra did that because the baby was really her child.

"Until one day, I found your engagement invitation. I went to Jogja, and saw you were with your fiance." Kendra sighed. "If I'm to be honest, I'm very jealous, my heart is broken. But I'm happy to see you get a much better man than me. Whether it's physical, financial, work and of course he never lies to you and disappoints you."

Fay's tears were pouring down his cheeks, right. Not because he physically or financially accepted Kevin's engagement, he never even saw it.

"At the same time, I found out that Amanda was not the biological child of Bude Jum, and she often got bad treatment from Bude Jum," continued Kendra.

Fay recalled, when he was a child he often saw Amanda being angered by her bud, even to the point of being beaten with a broom.

"I went home to Jakarta and found her crying in her mother's belly button in the rain. He insisted on admitting all his mistakes and asking me to let him go." Kendra looked at Fay's face. "It's no longer about right or wrong, and it's no longer about love. I saw it, what if it happened to my mom? pregnant and nobody."

"If I had given you the opportunity to turn back time, there's nothing I need to change. I'm happy to see the woman I love the most happy with a man better than me, I'm happy to see my wife happy for the rest of her age, I'm happy to have Lily." Kendra looked up into the sky with a smile. "I can't wait to play and make amazing days with him, no matter whose blood flows in his body, I'll still love him."

Fay stood in front of Kendra and hugged her tightly, crying in Kendra's arms.

Kendra stroked Fay's back, to calm him down. "Come home, celebrate your happy day with him!!" he let go of her embrace and wiped away the tears on Fay's pretty face. Kendra stroked Fay's shoulder, before she left Fay.

Fay looked at Kendra's back slowly away from him, his heart indecisive after hearing all Kendra's explanations. Fay feels like a very bad person because he never trusted Kendra, jealousy and anger raged in her heart every time she found the photos of the romance between Kendra and Amanda vanishing instantly turning into a sense of compassion for Amanda.

"I still love you so much, Ken." Fay closed his eyes, though he still loved Kendra very much, he did not want to hurt Kevin and disappoint his parents.

Vibrating the phone in his bag to disperse Fay's daydream, he reached into his bag and raised the incoming call.

"Fay, where are you? From now on mom and dad are looking for you everywhere there isn't," Ratri asked worriedly.

Fay just remembered that he had not had the permission with his parents when he came out of the hospital. "Anu ma'am, I bought a quick drink in front of the hospital," he hurried out of the hospital in search of a taxi

"Where are you?" ask Ratri back. "Mom and Dad are back at the hotel."

Fay turned to the right and to the left of the road looking for a passing taxi. "I'm on the street, ma'am, this is going to the hotel." he saw a taxi across the street, and he raised his hand to stop.

"You didn't see Kevin at the hospital?"

"Eh? Kevin's? Mean mother?" Fay turned back to the right and to the left to cross the road, according to him if waiting for the taxi to turn the direction would take a long time, so it is better for him to cross.

"Yes, Kevin said that if he snusulin us to Jakarta, he wanted to participate also. So I told him to go to the hospital and get you, mom got dizzy with your budding family problem, so mom and dad went back to the hotel."

Fay, who was in the middle of the road, stopped his steps when he found out Kevin was in the hospital. "Did Kevin see me with Kendra?" he murmured, looking towards the hospital.

One second later Fay's phone bounced off, along with his body.
