CHAPTER 44

"I don't know mas, my stomach hurts so much" Amanda said as she brin*s t-shirt Kendra was wearing.

"Sorry Mr. Ken, sometimes there is a birth that has not even been nine months, the name is premature, so it's better if Mr. Ken just take Ms. Amanda to the nearest hospital."

Without a second thought Kendra took Amanda to a nearby hospital. "Please get my wife's bag in the room" Kendra asked, while she helped Amanda into the car.

Kendra's journey was further panicked when Amanda said her waters had broken. "Patience, moly." he stroked Amanda's stomach with his left hand while his right hand continued to press the horn, he only realized that during a weekend like this the peak streets are so crowded that the one-way system is implemented.

"Moly, you wait a little while, yeah," Kendra peed Amanda's forehead then she removed her seatbelt and rushed down from the car. As he ran to the police who were managing traffic, Kendra said his wife was about to give birth and asked the police to help him pave the way for her.

It did not take long the road was open for Kendra, even the police were willing to take Kendra and Amanda to the nearest train clinic. After forty minutes, Kendra and Amanda arrive at the delivery clinic.

Kendra immediately took Amanda to the IGD room. "I'm sorry, please wait in the waiting room!" one of the nurses asked Kendra to leave the IGD room.

Kendra looked at Amanda with a disappointed look, as the nurse asked out. "I'm waiting outside yeah," he stroked Amanda's arm before he exited the IGD room. While waiting for his wife to be examined, Kendra approached the police in front of the IGD, she thanked him for opening the road and taking him to the clinic.

After escorting the police out of the clinic, Kendra tried to contact her mother, she reported that Amanda was having contractions.

"Then how's Amanda doing?" tanya Ajeng from across the phone in a very worried tone.

"Still in check by the doctor in the IGD room, mah."

"Yes, you share the clinic location where. Mama and papa want to go there now," said Ajeng, she told her husband to immediately find a fast ticket with the fastest flight, then he switched to his cellphone. "Anyways, you're reporting on his progress."

"Mah.." said Kendra Lirih. "Is it okay, babies are born less months?" ask Kendra.

"From the results of the examination later, will be found out the condition of Amanda and the baby. If it requires serious treatment, the doctor will definitely refer Amanda to a larger hospital. You do not need to worry Ken, not all premature babies have problems, after all in the maternity clinic it is also quite complete medical equipment," Ajeng explained, he felt the worry his son was feeling. "Maybe, your baby wants to quickly meet you, '" he comforted.

"For the baby's care, mama will be accompanied, Amanda. Mama will stay there for a few months, if necessary until your baby MPASI. That's if you don't mind."

"Yes dong mah, Moly and I were happy to be with my mom."

"Moly?" Ajeng felt unfamiliar with the name, almost guessing that his son had another woman.

"Mommy Lily, Lily's our son's name."

"Oh... It's good that you already have a sweet nickname for your wife. Yes it's there, accompany your wife. Mama wants to change clothes first, get ready to go there. Papa got his plane ticket, too."

"Yes, thank you so much, ma'am" Kendra turned off her phone, hesitating to call Amanda's parents. 'Here you go, after all, mom and dad have come here' he muttered, he put his phone back in his pocket, then walked to the IGD door because it happened that the doctor who handled Amanda had called him.

"Just do the doc, whatever is best for my wife and child" Kendra said, then the nurse directed Kendra to complete the administration.

After completing the administration, Kendra rushed to Amanda, she helped Amanda change her clothes. "Are you scared?" he sees Amanda's face looking a little pale, and Amanda's hands are wet when Kendra holds it.

Amanda nodded. "I've never had surgery, I rarely even went to the hospital before I was pregnant."

Kendra smiled as she wrapped her wife's face. "No need to worry, I will accompany you throughout this operation." Kendra kissed Amanda on the forehead and pulled up the wheelchair nearby, helping her sit up.

Before she pushes him to the operating room, Kendra offers Amanda to contact her family. "So I just had time to call my mom" she handed her phone to Amanda.

With hesitation, Amanda began to press her father's number. The phone rang, Amanda glanced at Kendra. On the third ring, Amanda heard her mother's voice.

"Mom.." said Amanda carefully. Silence for a moment, then "I just want to preach and ask for prayer because soon I want to give birth."

Back in silence, but Kendra caught a look of sadness in his wife's face, she immediately took the phone from Amanda's hand.

"You already have a husband, just have your husband take care of you. Stop bothering your father, I'm sick of taking care of you from the baby!!!"

"Thank you mom for taking care of Amanda, ever since she was a baby. I'm sorry to bother you, Assalamualaikum." Kendra switched off her phone, regretting offering Amanda a call to her family.

As he was about to put his phone into his pocket, a video call went into his phone. "From mama, you pick up, yeah" she gives it to Amanda, while Kendra pushes Amanda's wheelchair into the operating room.

Amanda smiled as she waved her hand at the camera phone. "Mah.." said to her mother-in-law.

"Mama and papa are in the airport waiting room, soon to be on the plane. How are you doing, baby?"

"Mixed mah," Amanda forced a smile to endure the nervousness and pain in her stomach.

"You need to relax, son. Pray a lot, mama and papa pray for you from here."

"Yes, thank you. I'm sorry to bother you and papa, these nights have to fly here."

Ajeng. "We can't wait to meet your granddaughter. Anyway relax yes, do not break up read sholawat and dhikirnya, so that smooth delivery. Mama is the same way first, son. Nye.."

"Bye mah.." Amanda and Kendra compactly waved her hand towards Ajeng, then the video call connection was cut off and Amanda returned her husband's phone.

"Focus on the delivery of our child" Kendra stroked Amanda's shoulder, not wanting Amanda to think about her mother's words.
