Three Months later.
After completing the Physician Profession Program (Koas), there are still stages that Fay must undergo, namely, namely the Student Competence Test Doctor Profession Program (UKMPPD) which is the only exam held by the state for prospective Indonesian doctors to get their doctorate.
This exam consists of 2 parts, namely CBT/Computer Based Test (computer-based test) and OSCE/Objective Structured Clinical Examination (physician and patient roleplay test).
Last week Fay had a CBT/Computer Based Test (computer-based test), there were about 200 multiple choice questions that Fay had to answer. Of the 200 questions taken from 13 different topics with the composition of a variety of questions from each topic. The 13 topics include: Indra (ENT and Eye), Reproduction, Gastrointestinal, hepatobiliary, and pancreatic, Forensic and medicolegal, NerveIntegument (Skin), Respiration, Cardiovascular, Kidney and urinary tract, etc, Hematology and immunology, Musculoskeletal, Endocrine metabolic and nutritional, Psychiatry.
While this week, Fay will undergo OSCE (Objective Structured Clinical Examination), for Fay is much more stressful than last week's test because he must practice skills according to Indonesian general practitioner competency standards.
"Later there will be 12 stations with 12 different topics, usually the time given is 15 minutes at each station" said Kevin. During these three months, faithfully and patiently he accompanied Fay.
Kevin not only helped Fay learn, but he also became a place where Fay complained to spill all the turmoil of his heart. "Mas, I'm afraid of the hyx...."
Kevin asks Fay to look into his eyes, see Fay who is stressed in the face of exams, Kevin like himself when he was still studying medicine. Gently Kevin wiped Fay's tears with his fingers, he clasped Fay's hand tightly and said, "Stay focus, Fay. I'm sure you can!!" he continues to convince Fay to be more confident in taking the exam tomorrow morning. "Didn't you often say that you feel bad for burdening your father with the cost of your education?"
Fay nodded, he could not deny if his father had sold some assets to pay his tuition fees, so Fay did not want to disappoint his parents.
"Then you must be sincere and confident in yourself. I'm sure you didn't" Kevin stroked Fay's hand with his thumb. "You don't be afraid, tomorrow I will."
Fay's eyes immediately sparkled, hearing if Kevin would accompany him, even though he was the year if Kevin could not help him, but with Kevin could slightly relieve his nervousness. "Certainly mas?"
Kevin smiled as he nodded. "Now learning again yes," he re-opened the book capita selekta neurology, and began to ask questions to Fay.
For a long time they discussed, throwing questions to each other, until 23:00 Fay fell asleep leaning on the sofa refusers. Kevin looked at Fay long enough, until Ratri who had just tidied up the kitchen came to them in the living room.
Kevin immediately codes to Ratri that Fay is sleeping. He wanted to move Fay to his room, but it was impolite, so he just tidied up the books scattered on the table and turned off his laptop.
"It's okay, son Kevin. Let Fay sleep here for a while, and I'll accompany him until I finish zooming in" Ratri said.
"Wlaikumsalam" replied Ratri. "Be careful, son, thank you for helping Fay learn so much" Ratri led Kevin to the gate of his residence.
It feels like Kevin keeps his promise to accompany Fay, but suddenly he gets a call from the hospital if there is an accident patient that he must operate. "I'm sorry, Fay. I can't keep my promise" he said in a disappointed tone.
"There is no need to apologize, patient safety is our top priority as a doctor" Fay said with a smile. "Thank you for driving me," he opened his seatbelt and put on his sling bag. "I'm going down first, ma'am, Assalamualaikum."
"Walaikumsalam," replied Kevin, then he opened the left side of the car glass. "Let me pick you up, Fay. The spirit!!"
"Enterprise to, too, mas. Bye," Fay waved his hand towards Kevin's car which started moving slowly leaving him.
All the participants sat in front of the exam room, at that time all the participants prayed to get ease in running the questions given, not least with Fay, he opened the prayer book given by Kevin, he opened the prayer book given by Kevin, then read.
When the bell rang, Fay kept it back in his prayer book, then he stood up and read the matter at the door for 1 minute. His heart beat fast because there was absolutely no grid before, completely full random, and usually the problem will take the form of a scenario that must be determined what actions should be done.
After reading the scenario, the bell rang again stating the participants were allowed to enter the room.
"Bismil was bornrahmanirrahim," Fay stepped with confidence. After entering the room, he began to observe the room, check the available tools and then sit in the doctor's chair and face the patients. Why the patients because it turns out that the one who came was his level sister who he knew well, but both remain professional.
Fay smiled and then began to do anamnaesis, followed by washing his hands before he did the action, finished Fay's action to provide education, recipes and advice on the disease he had diagnosed.
Fay breathed his leg. 'Alhamdulillah one room is finished, let's spirit Fay, ' his mind continues to give spirit to himself. He returned to his pre-examination mood, sat in a chair, then read the matter again, and took action again.
So on until the bell rings stating if the OSCE has been completed, and participants are welcome to leave the room. When he came out, Kevin was waiting for him. "Well, isn't there an operation?"
"Pens installation only operation," he replied. "Find a meal first yuk, I'm hungry," he grabbed Fay's hand and took him to the parking lot.
