CHAPTER 38
"By the way mom, why is she at Fay's house?" kendra asked while driving her parents' vehicle to the airport, because she wanted to return to Jakarta.
"So morning mama called Amanda, mama wanted to ask for the patio design that she promised yesterday, but mama was horrified the rich voice of people was crying. So mama forced him to tell her, and it's true that your mama's guess is here."
Kendra was silent, so she remembered this morning that she had yelled and scolded Amanda. 'Is he okay?' his inner. "How come mah, there is a return ticket to Jakarta the fastest?" ask Kendra. While he was driving, it was his mom who was looking for a plane ticket for him to go home.
"Why did you buy this, but there is an economy, is it okay?" answer Ajeng.
Kendra shook her head, while pulling her car away in the airport lobby. "It's okay mah, that matters quickly up to Jakarta."
Ajeng grabbed her husband's jacket on the back bench. "It's raining soon, you're wearing papa's jacket, yes" he asked his son to wear the jacket.
Kendra noticed that the jacket looked like a father's jacket. "Have it on," Ajeng forced her to put it on immediately.
"Yes, yes." half forced, he also put on his papa jacket.
"Remember Ken, if you can't accept Amanda let him go, mom will support whatever your decision is. But you must not disturb Fay's happiness, let him be happy with his choice. And I'm sure your happiness will be waiting for you in front."
Kendra hugged her mother warmly. "Thank you, ma'am" though his heart still felt heavy to take Fay off, but deep down he felt relieved to see the woman he loved happy.
"Ken left first yes," he kissed his mother's hands and cheeks, then he got out of the car and into the airport.
An hour later he arrived at Soekarno–Hatta International Airport, upon landing he got word that Amanda had left her residence with her belongings. "Mother where's bik?" kendra asked in panic.
"I'm sorry, I don't know Mr. Ken," answered Kendra's housekeeper. "So mom just said, leave Ken, and ask me not to cook spicy food. Amanda's mother also left a letter for Ken."
"I'll be home soon" Kendra turned off her phone, then rushed in the taxi she booked online.
Along the way Kendra keeps thinking about where Amanda is while contacting her, but unfortunately Amanda's mobile phone can not be contacted 'Where are you Manda? Are you mad at me for what happened this morning?' there is a feeling of anxiety enveloped in Kendra especially when the raindrops began to fall. 'Where are your pandas? Are you and your baby okay?'
As soon as Kendra opened the door to her apartment, her house assistant was waiting for her in the living room, she handed her the letter Amanda had left her. "This is the letter sir. I'm sorry I didn't manage to prevent you from leaving because you said, not Mr. Ken's wife anymore."
Without responding to the words of her domestic assistant, Kendra opened the contents of the letter Manda gave her, while walking towards Amanda's room.
Dear Mas Kendra's.
Now that Ken can take care of the annulment of our marriage, without having to wait for me to give birth, all the supporting evidence has been placed in my dresser drawer.
Once again I apologize, say hello and thank you to mama Ajeng.
Amanda
Kendra folded the letter and put it on the table, then she opened Amanda's dresser drawer. Kendra finds a document and a flash in it, she connects the flash to the TV in Amanda's room. While reading the documents, Kendra watches hotel CCTV footage as Amanda puts sleeping pills into her drink during Alice's birthday party.
Actually Kendra's heart was still covered in anger over the incident, but hearing the thunderous sound of lightning, making Kendra worried for Amanda. Kendra turned on her phone hoping Amanda's number was active, but apparently Amanda's phone still can't be contacted. "Amanda is unlikely to return home" Kendra recalled her mother's story this morning about Jum's treatment of Bude to Amanda
Kendra decides to contact Alice, but Alice does not know where Amanda is. "Where are you Manda?" Kendra thought hard as she stared at Amanda's ceiling.
A few minutes later he grabbed his car keys and rushed out of his apartment. Amidst the torrent of rain that flushed the capital, Kendra went down the streets to look for Amanda.
It's been almost an hour since Kendra walked around, and the rain has started to subside, but she hasn't found Amanda yet. "Where are you?" muttered. There is one place that comes to mind Kendra, actually she is not sure but she still tried to find Amanda to that place.
Kendra turned her vehicle to a public feeding site, thinking Amanda was visiting her mother's grave. "Luckily yesterday I asked at her birth mother's grave."
Arriving at the public cemetery, Kendra immediately searched for Amanda's whereabouts. And sure enough, he saw the figure of the middle woman in a drenched condition hugging the tombstone.
Kendra walked over to Amanda while taking off her jacket. Right behind Amanda, Kendra crouches down and covers Amanda's body with her papa's jacket.
Realizing that someone had covered her body, Amanda looked back. "M-mas Ken.." he said stammering because of the nervousness and coldness that became one.
Amanda was standing in front of Kendra. "Mas Ken, please don't take this maslah into the realm of law. I'm really sorry for all my loss. I'm sorry mas hiks..."
Kendra grabbed Amanda by the shoulder and grabbed her in her arms. "Go home, I will not annul our marriage nor will I divorce you."
Amanda was immediately surprised to hear Kendra's words, she looked up at Kendra. "really?"
Kendra tidied up Amanda's hair that covered part of her face. "Yes, we built our household from scratch, we raised this baby together." Kendra's hand crept down gently stroking Amanda's stomach. "You still want to be my wife?"
"Mas Ken, hiks...." Amanda was crying in Kendra's arms.
'Marrying a loved woman is a dream, but loving a married woman is an obligation.' Kendra recalled her mother's message, shortly before she tookoff to Jakarta, she did not want to play a wedding so she chose to continue with Amanda.
