“Serious, Bren. You brought that girl here?” sara asked as she ruffled her waist beside Bren who was pouring orange juice into the glass.
“Is there a problem, Sara? I don't think Elle's presence will bother anyone. We can have fun.” Bren closed the juice box in his hand, and put it back in the refrigerator.
Sara rolled her eyes. “We have to practice, Bren! That girl will obviously bother!”
“As I recall, you were the one who bullied him yesterday when he gave me a gift. If I don't remember you kicking her leg until she fell, Bren's” reminds Sara of what she did that made Sara even more furious.
“You defended him?!” Sara gritted her teeth.
“I don't defend anyone, Sara. I'm just saying what happened. That's it,” replied Bren casually. Completely ignored Sara who was already emotionally ignited. Bren leaves Sara with a glass of orange juice in her hand.
“I'll make him go, if you refuse to take him away from here!” sara shouted loudly.
“Tellown, Sara. Do what you want to do.” Bren shouted back nonchalantly.
After washing her face, Elle was silent for a moment in front of the mirror. I wonder if he should come back now or later. After being sure to return, Elle took a tissue from a box stuck to the wall and dried her face. Then he threw the tissue that was no longer shaped into a garbage can.
Elle deliberately slowed her steps towards the studio. He didn't want to be there quickly. But, for some reason, without feeling he has arrived also in front of the studio door that is somewhat partially open.
Should he come in now or not? Elle could hear the voice of the boy chatting inside there. But he did not hear Bren's voice. Is Bren there yet? Is that guy still in the kitchen, to get him a drink?
Elle's hand stretched out to grab the doorknob. However, he pulled his hand back in doubt. He wouldn't be in that room if there wasn't a Bren in it. It will feel awkward and uncomfortable. What's more, Adam has been blatantly showing his dislike for Elle.
“What are you doing, Sweet heart?” The sound of Bren whispering in Elle's ear, making Elle cry in shock. To make Bren who initially stood right behind Elle, had to rewind his steps, so that the juice in his hand did not spill and hit him or Elle.
“Woah.. easy, Girl."
“Sorry. You surprised me!”
“It's okay. Let's go in. You can watch us practice.” Bren immediately brought Elle inside. Let him sit on the sofa. Then Bren shifted the orange juice in his hand to Elle's hand.
Elle held the glass Bren gave with both hands. He sipped the orange juice in it slowly. The coldness of the drink travels down Elle's throat. It tastes sweet and fresh.
From behind the glass, Elle can see Bren and his friends seem busy with their respective equipment. According to Elle who does not know about music, Bren and his friends look cool.
However, Elle felt that there was less. Where is Sara? Is Sara angry with Bren for her presence here? Because it was very clear earlier, when Elle had just come, Sara blatantly showed her dislike towards Elle. And Elle wasn't stupid to not realize that.
The door opened and closed again. The person Elle had just thought of, appeared. Sara held the drink with a mug container made of glass. From a distance alone Elle could see that the drink that Sara brought was a hot drink.
Sara approached Elle and smiled broadly. He extended his one free hand towards Elle. “We are not acquainted. I'm Sara Turner.”
Pranks!
Elle had not yet finished her sentence, Sara deliberately dropped the mug in her hand. Up to Elle's feet.
“Aww...” Elle reflexively lifted her foot that was exposed to the hot liquid. However, not being careful, the soles of his feet were hit by shards of glass mugs on the floor.
“Ups...” Sara covered her mouth with her palm. Formed a pretended expression of surprise. “Sorry,” he added without sincerity at all.
Bren, who was busy arranging his guitar, turned his attention towards the commotion that Sara managed to create. Bren rolled his eyeballs before putting his guitar back on the chair. Without much talk he immediately walked out of the studio.
Elle grimaced to find her feet sore and burning. He wanted to go to the toilet to wash his feet. However, just as he stood up to rush out, Bren had already re-entered the studio with a P3K box.
Without saying much, Bren again sat Elle on the sofa and treated Elle's legs. Elle lowered her head and whispered in Bren's ear, “Bren, I want to go home,” her door in a voice as slow as possible.
Bren nodded his head without looking up to look at Elle, as he was still busy treating Elle's legs which had already turned red due to the hot liquid. “I'll drive you home after this is done.”
Meanwhile, on the other hand, Adam who had not spoken since then even cleaned his guitar and put it in a bag. He then put his guitar bag on his shoulder. “I don't think we'll be able to practice today. I go first,” he said in a flat voice as usual. He then walked out of the studio without waiting for a response from his other friends.
Joe, who saw Adam's departure, whistled and picked up his bag which he had placed on the floor, next to his drum. “I'm also leaving then. Bye... see you tomorrow.”
Sara rolled her eyeballs. “Are we not practicing today? You guys suck.”
“You who made us not practice,” comments Bren without turning to Sara. He had just finished treating Elle's leg and was cleaning up his P3k box.
“You've been blaming me, Bren. I told you to—” Not yet had Sara finished her sentence, Tyler first pulled the girl out of the studio. Since Tyler knew very well that Sara was already angry then the girl would not stop nagging even until tomorrow morning.
“We better party now, darling,” persuade Tyler while embracing Sara's shoulder and taking her out of Bren's house. Although Sara still grunts resentfully, but she keeps following Tyler out. Only Tyler can tame Sara while Sara is on a blackboard.
Elle asks Bren to drop her off at school. Because Elle wanted to take her car that she had deliberately stayed in school. Bren doesn't argue with Elle and complies with Elle's request.
Elle's leg wasn't hurt too badly. So he can still drive a car. It's just, it looks like the wound on his leg will imprint.
Upon arriving home, Elle finds Yellena sitting in the living room reading a book. “You don't usually come home late,” Yellena comments without distracting her views from the book.
“You should just sell your apartment. Why do you have an apartment if you're here more often,” cynical Elle before she goes to her room. He was not in the mood to argue with Yellena.
His thoughts and feelings are not good. He kept thinking about Adam and Sarah's treatment of him. Is he really that unsuitable for hanging out with Bren? Elle drowned her face into a pillow. He just wants to sleep.
