3 Months Girlfriend

3 Months Girlfriend
Chapter 9: Friends of Bren

The school yard is deserted. There were hardly any students passing by. Elle walked over to her car. However, Bren stops Elle.

“No. You come with me.” Bren pulls Elle's hand to get the girl to follow him.

Elle knitted her two eyebrows. Staring confusedly at Bren who was walking in front of him, but still clutching Elle's wrist. “Mobilku?”

“Leave it here. We'll pick it up later.” Bren releases his grip on Elle after they reach his car. Bren soon turns around his car and gets behind the wheel, followed by Elle who immediately enters the passenger seat which is right next to Bren.

Bren drove his car until they were free from the view of the New York City skyline. In the middle of the dense city of New York, this area is very crowded with views that are usual Elle encountered.

The expanse of green grass trimmed neatly pamper the eyes. The trees around add value plus to the beauty of this area. The snow that used to accompany winter is almost gone because soon it will enter spring.

“Are we going to your house?” elle asked without looking at Bren. Because his attention was being turned towards the scene outside the window.

Bren nodded his head even though Elle did not look at him, “Ya,” he said briefly.

Elle turned quickly towards Bren. “You live in Hamptons?” he cried in disbelief.

“Is there anything strange, from me who lives here?”

Elle shook her head and looked back enthusiastically out the window. “No. It's just I heard Beyonce lives in this area.”

“Do you expect to see Beyonce here? I've never met him.”

“No. I just feel amazed that you have a home in this region.”

“Ralat. Not my house. But, my father's house.”

Elle no longer responded to Bren because her attention was now fully fixed out the window. Bren rolled down the window of his car. Making Elle face in the wind directly. Elle's hair untied, flying. The girl closed her eyes enjoying the fresh breeze while smiling. Bren glanced at Elle, and Elle's smile rubbed off on her.

Before entering Bren's house, they passed through a neat line of trees on the side of the driveway that Elle said was very long. Probably about half a kilometer. Until finally they arrived in front of a luxurious white house.

Bren parked his car in the garage of the house and immediately took Elle inside. The magnitude of Bren's house makes Elle's lips form the word “Wow” without sound. Bren took Elle through various rooms. The impression of this mansion was cold and desolate. If analogized as a human, according to Elle this house is like someone who is glamorous and has everything but he tries to hide his loneliness.

Without Elle realizing it, they finally arrive at Bren's private studio. Elle had never been in a music studio before. And this is really amazing. Will be there, Elle's courage and enthusiasm shrieked instantly as he saw that Bren's friends were already in the studio, and were now watching him intensely.

“Friends, introduce this Ellena Clark,” Bren introduce Elle to her friends.

Sara looked at Elle with a deadly gaze and both hands folded in the chest. Adam completely ignores Elle and gets busy with his guitar. While Tyler and a guy Elle didn't know looked at him with interest.

“Hai,” greet Elle awkwardly while lifting one palm with a stiff move.

Bren chuckled small. “Sit. I will bring you a drink,” he said while guiding Elle to sit on the sofa located in the corner of the room.

Bren stared at Elle's hand and smiled slightly. His hand was then stretched out to remove Elle's hand from his shirt. Suddenly, Elle's face became disappointed. “I won't be long, sweet heart. What do you want to drink? A juice? A coffee? Milk?”

“What's.”

Elle stared one by one Bren's friends as much as the guy. Sara's piercing gaze finally ended as she said she wanted to go grab a drink.

“Hai, Beautiful. Introduce, I'm Tyler,” Tyler said as he sat next to Elle and took Elle's hand, then kissed the back of Elle's hand. It made Elle's eyes round instantly.

“I know,” muttered Elle, barely audible.

“What color is your hair original?” Elle turned her head and found the blond guy she didn't know sitting next to her. The guy grabbed Elle's hair and watched her closely.

Elle smiled awkwardly. “Ya.”

“I'm Joe, by the way. I think you know that too. We have taken the same class several times,” said the blonde while removing Elle's hair and smiling widely.

Elle doesn't know who Joe is. But, in order not to hurt Joe, Elle chooses to lie. “Ah. I think I know.”

Elle was getting uncomfortable. So, he moved from his seat. “I have to go to the toilet. Where is the toilet?”

Unexpectedly Adam who had been busy with the guitar and completely ignored Elle, suddenly moved from his seat. “I'll take you there.”

Elle nodded her head and immediately followed behind Adam.

Throughout the journey Adam did not speak at all. So did Elle. This is better because at least Elle does not need to start a chat or respond to a chat that will certainly feel awkward.

They arrived at the toilet. But Adam did not also move from the doorway and instead looked at Elle with a flat gaze. Both of Adam's hands were folded over his chest, his back resting on the door frame. That of course made Elle feel uncomfortable and began to think a no-no.

“A-Is there anything you want to do? I have to use the toilet. But, if you want to wear it first, you can wear it. I'll be out if you want to use this toilet now,” said Elle timidly.

Adam pulled his back away from the door frame, and lowered his hands from his chest and put them in his pants pocket. He looked at Elle still with an illegible look, but it was quite intimidating for Elle. Adam had done nothing since then but stare at Elle. Making Elle hesitate, should he be cautious or not.

Adam threw his breath out rough. “I don't care about your relationship with Bren. But, I hope you stay away from him. Don't get involved with us. You are not at all suited to get along with us,” he said in a flat voice with no emotion in it.

Then Adam immediately left Elle who was still trying to digest his words.

Elle swallowed her saliva twice. Alright. He hasn't done anything yet, but he thinks he's got an enemy now. Elle closed the door before walking back towards the sink. He turned on the tap and washed his face immediately.

Elle stared back at her reflection in the mirror. Then he sighed tired. Elle doesn't like to be in places where she's not liked. Elle just wants to go home.
