3 Months Girlfriend

3 Months Girlfriend
Chapter 8: Just a Friend

“Elle!” Jackson held Elle's arm. “I'm sorry.”

“For?” elle asked who was confused because Jackson suddenly apologized to her.

Jackson shrugged both of his shoulders. “For everything. I think you're mad at me for what happened in the canteen.”

“Oh... I should apologize for yelling at you earlier. Know it? I didn't mean that. I was just getting annoyed because you guys didn't let me talk, ” Elle explained at length.

“Elle, are we okay?” Jackson held onto Elle's shoulder and stared straight at Elle's blue eyes.

“Of course,” Elle nods head sure. He was not angry with anyone, and felt he had no problems with anyone.

Jackson was relieved. He leaned his back against the locker who did not know who the owner was. “I'm just worried because you're hanging out with Hudson.”

Gentle rarity slipped off Elle's lips. He shook his hands in front of his face. “There's nothing to worry about. He and I are just friends. I don't think he's that bad.”

Jackson rubbed his face in frustration. “Don't you remember how he treated you a while ago. He humiliated you, Elle. In front of everyone. He makes you look like shit in front of everyone, and then turns the day to apologize and make you friends? Don't you feel that this is weird?”

Elle's headband frustrated Jackson even more. How could this girl before him possibly so easily trust the person who had already hurt him?

“Come Elle…. Don't you feel like he's just playing you?”

“Everybody can change, Jackson. And everyone deserves forgiveness.”

“But, not with Hudson, Elle!”

Now Elle is holding Jackson's arm. He tried to win Jackson. “I know what you're worried about. But, like I said before, he's not that bad. These few days I didn't get any interference from him. So, don't worry.”

“You sure you didn't save a certain hope on him?”

“Hope?”

Jackson tries to be as ignorant as possible when talking about Elle's feelings for Bren. He didn't want Elle to know his feelings. Because Jackson does not want his friendship with Elle to be awkward because of his feelings expressed to Elle. This is enough for Jackson. He doesn't want to be greedy.

“Maybe you put hope in him to reciprocate your feelings if you are friends.”

“What are you talking about? From the beginning I expressed my feelings to Bren. I never had any hope that Bren would return my feelings,” Elle explained at length.

Elle glanced at the clock on her wrist then was about to leave Jackson. Because somehow, talking about her feelings for Bren to someone else, it made Elle feel uncomfortable.

Jackson held Elle's hand. “Elle. You should know. He's dickhead. I'm just afraid he's hurting you and playing with your heart. That'sthat's all. That's why I'm not happy you're hanging out with him.”

Elle gave a soothing smile to Jackson. “You don't need to worry.” Elle placed her palm on top of her chest. “My heart is mine. I won't let anyone hurt her.”

A rough gust of breath shot out from Jackson's lips as he turned his head. “Make sure you contact me if he is being bad to you.”

Throughout the class, Elle thought about what Jackson had said. What if all of Jackson's words were true? What if Bren was just playing him?

Indeed, Elle realized that Bren's behavior was too obstructive. Elle's brain seemed to give an alarm warning not to deal with Bren. Since Elle also knew, there was a chance that Bren just wanted to play with her.

It would be a lie if Elle said that he did not expect to still find the figure of Bren that he once knew, in Bren who is now. Although Bren is now a stranger to Elle. An untouched and untouched figure.

As usual, Elle waited for her classroom to empty and then went out.

“Do you like Jackson or intend to date him?” The person Elle had been thinking about was already standing before her. In the doorway. Striking Elle with both hands folded in the chest.

Elle looked up to look at Bren. “I don't know what you mean. But.... Yep. I like Jackson, of course. I like him as a friend and have no intention of dating him.”

“Do you not like it romantically?”

“Of course not. We are just friends.”

Bren flicked his finger and smiled in satisfaction. “Good then.”

The faint frown on Elle's forehead was created after hearing Bren's comment. ”What's good?”

Bren's shoulder lifted and he tilted his head slightly to the side. “Kurasas she likes you.”

Elle laughed at Bren's words. “Jackson is just a friend, Bren. She couldn't possibly like me romantically.”

“You don't know what guys think.”

Bren's right. Elle never knew what the boys were thinking. Including Bren. He remembered what Jackson said this afternoon.

Elle's eyes squeaked for Bren's face. Trying to find the bad in there so Elle has a reason to stay away. But Elle found nothing. Bren looks perfect to him. Dark brown hair with matching colored eyeballs, perfect for Bren's handsome face. Bren's appearance is random but he doesn't look like a bad guy.

“Are you playing me?” suddenly asked Elle.

Bren was glued for a split second. Then a soft laughter came out from his lips. “What are you talking about, Sweet heart?”

Elle sighed softly. He didn't know what he was just talking about. Elle flicked her hands in front of her face as she said, “Forget it. I just asked origin.” He then walked past Bren.

Bren immediately followed Elle. “Are you worried that I'm playing you because of my strange attitude? Before acting like a jerk and then suddenly being nice. Take it easy, I do not at least work that willing to spend time to play you,” Bren explained at length without Elle asking.

Elle laughed awkwardly from feeling guilty. According to him, he has been outrageous because he accused Bren of not-no. “Of course, you can't possibly behave like that.” Elle opened the locker door and immediately picked up her bag.

“Are we okay now?” ask Bren

“Of course,” replied Elle full of confidence.

“Then are you busy today?”

Elle shook her head. He has no activities he wants to do today. “No. I guess I'll just go home.”

Bren clapped his hand once. “Good. It's decided. You'll come with me today.”

“Where?”

“You'll know later.” Bren winked.
