Elle thinks he and Bren need to talk. He could no longer cry and hold it himself. Elle invites Bren to meet near the school shed. Because it's so quiet there. Very rarely do students go there.
Elle's fingers were squeezing each other in agitation. What should he tell Bren when they meet? Elle had no idea what she was trying to say to Bren.
Elle checked her phone. The guy read the message. But why not come here too? Bren also did not reply to his message.
Elle's eyes were flying everywhere. He walked back and forth. Then check his phone again. I don't know how many times Elle turned on the phone screen to check the incoming notification.
It's been 30 minutes. Bren's not coming. The break is almost over. Does this mean Elle was shown?
Bren's been reading Elle's message. But, not to reply to him. There is no certainty from Bren, whether he wants to come or not. Doesn't that mean Elle's been ignored?
Elle was tired. Both of his shoulders slumped. Uninspired he immediately returned to the classroom as soon as the class bell rang.
The Rochester Lilac Festival is a very important event for Bren and his friends. The director will be at the festival. So that they train very actively in order to be able to display the best performance there.
Who knows with the appearance of Direction at the festival, there are record labels who want to glance at them. Because Direction until now is still an Indian band and has not been tied to any record label.
Bren and his friends decided to ditch today for the sake of practicing. Because the time they performed was only a few days away.
As they rested for a while, Bren went to the kitchen to fetch mineral water.
Bren's phone, placed on the table, shook. The screen flashes and displays one incoming message. Elle's name was on there.
Bren glanced at his phone from behind the glass on his lips. He lowered his glass and immediately opened the message from Elle.
Ellen Clark:
Bren, can we meet? There's something I want to talk about. It's critical. About ours. I'm waiting near the school shed.
"Bren where do you keep orange juice?" joe's question made Bren who initially wanted to reply to Elle's message, so snooze.
Bren puts his phone back on the table and turns to Joe. "In the lower door. You didn't see? It is in front of your eyes. Do you need Joe's glasses, so that your spotters can be clearer?" his gerrick.
Joe just grimaced at Bren's nagging. He immediately took the juice box in front of him, and walked over to Bren to pour the juice into the glass.
"Let's practice. We've been resting too long." Adam suddenly appeared in the doorway.
Bren nodded and immediately followed Adam away from the kitchen. Posel on the table forgotten. So did Elle's message.
Weekends are so annoying. Because Elle hasn't heard from Bren. He stared at his message that only Bren read without reply.
Should he send another message to Bren? Or just call? But, what if it turns out Bren does not want to be in touch with him anymore?
Last time Elle saw Bren at Sara's party with another girl who was much sexier than Elle. Does that mean Bren has really switched hearts now?
However, Bren should have decided if he wanted to connect with someone else! If Bren has been dating another girl while she is still dating Elle, it means that Bren has no respect for Elle. Elle clenched her hand. Emotions were stirring in his chest.
Elle buried her body under the blanket. Maybe sleep can make him forget Bren for a moment.
"Hey, Sleepyhead! It's bolted!" Yellena shook Elle's body.
Elle took her pillow and immediately covered her head. Hope the pillow can muffle Yellena's voice.
Yellena's getting worse. He pulls Elle's blanket away from Elle. Elle felt her body suddenly feel empty. And it's very uncomfortable.
Elle lowered the pillow that covered the head roughly. He sat up. And glared towards Yellena. "What do you want?! It's the weekend, Yellena! Sunday!" snapped because of annoyance.
"Let's go to the Rochester Lilac Festival! Stop locking yourself up."
Elle thunts. "Just go there with your girlfriend."
Yellena rolled her eyes. "I'd go with him if he wasn't busy. But, even so, I will still take you—"
"I don't want to come!" firmly Elle. He lay back on the bed.
Yellena pulls Elle's hand until Elle sits down again. "No. You have to come!" This time, Yellena managed to get Elle out of bed. He immediately pushed Elle into the bathroom. Elle is fighting again. His sister is very stubborn and very difficult to refute.
This is amazing. Performing in front of the crowd is the most thrilling and fun thing for Bren.
When the guitar and bass were first plucked. Drum is hit. Keyboard keys pressed. The cheers and murmurs of the spectators began to sound. It was then that Bren began to sing freely.
Bren smiling. He was so happy that everyone listened to his song and enjoyed it. It really got Bren excited.
Direction's performance at the festival is done outdoor and open to the public. People attending the festival can freely watch their performances.
Under the flowers that bloomed in spring, and in the midst of the cooling breeze, Bren walked one by one the spectators before him. His eyes were fixed when he managed to catch a red-haired girl he was very familiar with.
From a distance Bren could clearly see that Elle was looking at him with a hard-to-read look. Their eyes met and locked on each other. Bren did not turn his gaze away from Elle because he was curious about what Elle was thinking.
Elle cut her eyes off from Bren. He turned his gaze around and was seen talking to Yellena. While continuing to sing, Bren refocused his attention on the rest of his audience.
When Direction was done with their appearance, people, especially the girls, began to swarm Bren and friends. Instantly Bren's attention focused on everyone around him. He showed his best smile when someone took him for a picture.
Bren felt the phone in his jeans pocket vibrate. But he ignored that. Because he was busy with people around him.
As the crowd surrounding Bren had already started to leave, Bren immediately reached into his pants pocket and directly checked his phone. There was a message from Elle.
Ellen Clark:
Am I being shown?
