Elle did not know why everyone was staring at her right now. Their gazes vary. Starting from pity, judgment, judgment until the envious gaze was blatantly thrown at Elle. Elle lowered her head. I really don't like being the center of attention like this.
"Gelle!" Jackson's call made Elle stop the move.
Jackson pulls Elle to a much quieter place. He drags Elle into the empty school hall. The two of them stood on a staircase that jutted down between the chairs facing the center of the room.
Jackson reached into his pants pocket and pulled out a cell phone. He showed the screen to Elle.
Elle snatched the phone in Jackson's hand as soon as she saw the article scattered on the school's blog page. There is a picture of him with Bren and an article that tells him that he and Bren are in a relationship. In the article, it is also written that he felt jealous because Bren betrayed him with Sara. And even more surprising is, the author of the article is Ellena Clark!
"I've never written this" the great-grandson of Elle who felt like she was struck by lightning.
Jackson breathed a sigh of relief. "I'd guess. You can't be dating Hudson."
"Ep.... Jackson's.... I was actually dating Bren. However, it wasn't me who wrote this article" Elle said hesitantly. After all, what else should he hide? Everyone already knows about his relationship with Bren.
But the problem is that he never wrote the article. Today, he became the center of attention. Something that made him uncomfortable until now.
The question now is, who wrote the article and took his name? Elle felt like a crazy girl thirsting for attention because of the article. He is jealous of Bren and Sara's relationship, but he is not as crazy as that confession, until he publishes an article about himself.
"You're serious?" asked Jackson who had just recovered from his demeanor.
Elle nodded her head slowly. His eyes showed no lies there at all. This made Jackson gasp. He was quite surprised by the article that he initially thought only contained lies. However, Elle's confession completely destroyed her.
How could the plain and cute girl he had liked long ago turn out to be dating the person he hated the most. Elle is too innocent for the brash Bren. Jackson was so convinced that Bren was just playing Elle.
"Elle. You have to break up with him" Jackson said firmly.
Elle's forehead is wrinkled. He was confused by Jackson's attitude which suddenly felt cold. Jackson seemed upset and angry for what Elle didn't know. "Why?" tanyakanya. Elle thinks Jackson will support her because Jackson is her best friend and Elle thinks is the person who understands her best.
"Because you're too good for her! And he doesn't deserve you! I'm the one you should be with!" Jackson wanted to shout that line to Elle. However, his lips ended up just blurting out a sentence, "Because he was just playing you," he said in an earnest persuading tone. Jackson's forehead is wrinkled. Both his eyebrows raised. His facial expression the terms of the plea.
"I'm sure he's not playing me. Bren's not as bad as you think he is" defended Elle. Though in his mind there was a bit of uncertainty about the statement he made himself.
"He's evil Elle! As bad as I thought! You just don't see it! Because you're in love!" Jackson involuntarily lost control.
It made Elle scowl in surprise. He stared at Jackson as he did not understand the man's anger.
Jackson took his breath. He tries to control his emotions. It's not right if he's mad at Elle. Because Elle is now the victim. Jackson shouldn't have spilled his emotions on Elle.
Jackson stared in disbelief at Elle, then rubbed his face in frustration. "Come on! This is not the time to worry about Elle!" jackson in his heart.
Jackson again touched both of Elle's shoulders carefully. "Listen to me, Elle. You have to trust me because I'm your best friend." Jackson took a deep breath. Then looked straight at Elle's eyes. "Connect with Hudson. He's not good for you. He's just playing you. I'm sure all the mess that's going on at school is his plan to hurt you."
"Well, it seems that you're wrong, Rivera! The chaos that happened was not me. And keep both your hands off my boyfriend, before I break them!" The flat voice of a very familiar guy Elle emerged from the direction of the door.
Seen Bren who was aware in the doorway with a flat face as flat as his tone. He stared in dislike at Jackson. Which Jackson responded fiercely.
"I didn't write that article." Elle defended herself without being asked. He just wanted to tell Bren that it wasn't him who created this mess. Elle knows, that Bren doesn't like their relationship being exposed.
Elle took off Jackson's grip on his shoulder automatically. Making Bren smile in satisfaction and giving a triumphant look towards Jackson.
Jackson tried to cover up the hurt feelings between his eyes. He tried to hold Elle's hand. But, urung.
Because for Jackson, it's useless to prevent Elle. He should have just finished off Bren. And no need to hold back anymore. Jackson believes Bren is not a typical guy to talk to by mouth.
So Jackson used his fist. He walked towards Bren. Before the man realized he was being attacked.
Bren's face was thrown to the side as soon as Jackson hit him.
There was a sound of strangulation from Elle. Elle covered her mouth with both palms. He did not know what he had just seen.
"You shouldn't be messing with, Elle! He doesn't deserve to be your toy!" jackson was already overwhelmed with emotion.
Bren rubbed the tip of his lips slightly injured by Jackson's punch. He smiled cynically. One hand clenched and was about to avenge Jackson's blow. But Elle held him back.
Bren tried to shake off Elle's hand. However, Elle shook her head. "I don't want to be the talk of things. So, can we just go?" said pleading.
Bren stared hatefully at Jackson. "You survived because of Elle. If not, I've finished you off!"
Jackson did not respond to Bren's anger. He tries to prevent Elle's departure. "Let me do my own thing, Jackson. Trust me," said Elle before she left the hall, taking Bren with her.
Elle takes Bren to the empty school health room. There were only white-clad mattresses lined up neatly. The guard nurse did not see the nose. Elle didn't take a headache. He sat Bren on the bed. Then take the P3K box and close the curtains around them.
Carefully Elle treated the tip of Bren's injured lip.
"You have to stop being friends with Sharon Hamilton" Bren said in an undeniable tone.
